Tire blew-we spun out, hit a semi, totaled van..insurance co inspector said tire was defective-tread totally came off-just had tires serviced in july 2001. Neither airbag deployed and we hit semi in front-cut engine in half . When bought car, dealer said it had been in no previous accidents, but we're later told when we found glass in the back, that the rear bumper/panel had been previously replaced. Wondering now if airbags were not recharged from a previous accident.accident occured 6 hrs outside san antonio (van horn, tx) and van is now in el paso, tx.

Complete, total brake failure. The only wat to stop was a light pole. Afterwards the varkes worked again. Contacted buick the answer there is no warranty left on ther brake shoes! buick dealer must look at it. Buick dealer nothing wrong, car sent back. I took it for state inspection, total brake failure while inspector does test drive. Back to buick - no problems found then after another week at buick the electrical system fails. We take ir to an independent mech. - the b dealer damaged the computer system, our mech fixes it. No break problem found, keeps testing - total break failure. Now more often. In the end he found a bosch relay full of fire ants. Current: the relay is removed - no more break failures - no more abs!btw there are a lot of fire ants in texas. I will never buy another gmvehicle. The way gm treats customers is insulting. Ps the date of acc maybe off but there is a police report.it took 6 month to get the problem fixed.( dot number: tire size: 225hr15 )

Experienced tire failure operating with normal tire pressure, not overweight at 62mph.this tire did have good tread.the problem is with the damage done by the tire upon failure.there is on this (and apparently many) moterhome a large wiring bundle located directly in front of the tire just above axle level, that provides major power to the accessories including gas appliances and related safety equipment.when the tire failed, which is certainly not an unknown occurrance in any vehicle, the tire tread severed and shreded this entire wiring bundle including ripping wires through the floor of the motorhome.i feel the location of these wiring bundles is a safety hazard, not to mention a needless expense to repair were the wires in either a safer location or properly shielded to withstand a tire failure.

The steering wheel column made grinding noises when my 1996 grand am se was driven.the noises even persisted after the grand am was returned to the original dealership in washington, d.c. Where the car was purchased from for service/repair in december 1999.the service manager informed me the noises from the steering wheel column could not be fixed and since the car was "older"- only 3 years old, any noises in the steering wheel column should be expected and are normal for a 3 year old car.the service manager told me he would look at the steering wheel column as well as the electrical componenets under the dashboard to investigate the problem.the service manager informed me that he did the best he could do to find and repair the noises in the steering wheel column.approximately three months later, and continued to hear grinding noises from the steering wheel column, on march 31, 2000, after dropping my infant to the daycare center, i attempted to start the car and it would not start.the steering wheel column in addition to the turn signal chamber on the steering wheel column began to smoke.flames began to appear from the steering wheel column and a steady flow of smoke.the electrical fire increased in size and was finally brought under control by two fire engine companies.my 1996 pontiac grand am was towed, assessed for damages and finally deemed unsalvageable- a total loss.my 1996 pontiac grand am se was only three years old.this incident should not have occurred.( dot number: )

Getting vibration on smooth roads at 60-68 mph. Put on 4 new michelin tires, replaced brake rotors, balanced all tires, still experience vibration. Dealer can't fix. What are other solutions besides saying tires are out of round?

Car c 300. Did not see that option. Also tires original michelin unknown info. Multiple interior trim and seat repairs. Problem with power folding mirrors getting stuck or creaking. Multiple visits for repair of tire light issues. Was originally told it would come on during hot/cold days. Upon review after multiple issues, tires x 2 replaced before 15k miles. Continues problems. Countless review by 3 dealerships. Was told due to cosmetic issues on rims. B3 maintenance done @ $500. Told again to ck tires due to light. Had another set of tires placed around 40k in. May 2010. For b3 told lt back tire needed replacing. Went back to tire shop who said both needed to be replaced, and rims. Was told by mercedes rims not necessary. After a few weeks tire light back on and left back losing air rapidly. Mercedes roadside assistance called. Found lg crack back l wheel. Spare placed. Another independent car care reviewed all wheels. Found another cracked wheel back right and two low spots front. Took back to mercedes alex rodriguez, who stated front were fine by visual only, and back right needed cosmetic outer which they covered. Gave car back after having 8 days for cosmetic work. Unable to tell me if diagnostics were performed. Nothing in paperwork. Would not let me wait until information was verified. Drove approximately 20 miles on hwy and car began to rattle. Had boyfriend look @ car. Found wheel cover wasn't there; also two air covers missing and two loosely fastened. Called dealer to come pick up vehicle for another review.

The contact owns a 2007 mercury milan.the vehicle has michelin p235/55r17 tires.on three separate occasions, the tires flattened.the valve stems were replaced on each tire.the dot number was unknown.the current mileage was 17,000 and failure mileage was 13,000.

On november 26th 2008 while traveling east on interstate 70 from denver, 75 mile an hour, and aprox twenty miles east of bennet colorado, we experienced both front and rear passenger tire blowouts at the same time. The back passengers tire was destroyed. We were able to change it out with our spare. The front passengers tire was extremely low (1" off pavement) and had a bubble on the side wall of the tire. It had not broken the air seal around the rim, and so we were able to return very slow back aprox .25 miles to an exit and retrieve air for that tire. As the side wall bubble grew in size we stopped the air at about twenty pounds. We then returned aprox twenty mile back to denver,to a discount tire store. We then replaced all of the tires onour 2005 toyota highlander. Prior to departing on this trip we had rotated the original tires as well as checked and confirmed all air pressures, (the pressure was checked thirty minutes before leaving town) when checking the tires we had heard a hissing sound at the valve stems on both of the passenger tires. Thought this was just the air hose, but now believe that the valve stems were cracked and leaking air.i have documented the tire condition and have the original valve stems from the tire store. These tires were original equipment michelin tires with 28644 mile on them. We believe that this condition was a result of faulty valve stems, and may be a serious safety concern for others. My toyota dealer service center refers me to michelin tire company, and michelin refers me back to them. Toyota motor company has documented a report, but will not address the issue as a concern.we had three adults - (500 pounds) and three suit cases - (150 pounds) and therefore don't believe that at 750 - 800 pound that we were overloaded.

1. Purchased 4 new michelin tires for 2005 pt cruiser at merchant's tire and auto in westminster md on 1/28/07.new valve stems installed at that time.2. On 7/10/08, right rear tire blew out on highway.tire was destroyed, and i had to purchase a new one.the mechanic at merchants said the damage was due to a damaged valve stem, but had no idea what caused it.i had not damaged it myself in any way.on 8/26/08, two more flats occurred simultaneously.a fellow employee with auto mechanical skills discovered that both valve stems were dry rotted.he pulled them out(they broke off) and replaced with another brand.3.i took the car back to merchant's and they replaced the other stems.i still outthe cost of the replacement tire, and possibly the other two tires.i am presently in contact with the company that distributed the stems, they are dill air control products, and they are very willing to reimburse me for my damaged tires.the valve stem # is tr 413.

The contact owns dill valve stems.while examining the vehicle, she heard air coming out of the valve stem on her tires. The tire was taken to a tire shop where the contact was informed that the valve stem was cracked and needed to be replaced. The current and failure mileages were 28000. Updated 10/29/09. *ljthe consumer purchased the tires on oct 30, 2007. While the vehicle was sitting in the car port, she noticed the right rear tire was leaking air. The consumer took the vehicle to sear and they replaced two stems. On may 0, 2009 while driving, the vehicle began to vibrate. The consumer got out of the vehicle and discoveredthe left rear tire was going flat. Updated 10/29/09.

On june 16, 2000 my 2000 honda odyessy was rear ended or hit by another vehicle in the rear bumper. The cause of the accident was the transmission failure with only 6,000 miles on the odyessy. I was southbound on euclid ave. At interstate 5. I was stopped at a red light in a uphill position. I was the first vehicle at the light. When the light turn green, i proceeded to go and my odyssey transmission slipped and then caught and then the engine stalled out. This caused the odyssey to lurch forward and then stop suddenly. When the odyssey stopped i still had my foot on the gas to go so that no brake lights came on to warn the drivers to my rear that myvehicle was about to stop. My odyssey was hit in the rear bumper by the vehicle to my rear. The accident was reported to the anaheim police who came to the scene and made report # dr no 00-23199. The vehicle to my rear was without insurance. I reported this accident to honda of america and the called me back to inform me that they would not assume responsibility for the damages to my vehicle. I have not had an appraisal of my damages yet it could be several thousand dollars. I am holding off because on the appraisal because the vehicle behind mine had no insurance and american honda claims no responsibility.on a separate incident on june 24, 2000 my left rear tire blue out at 70 mph with only 7,500 miles on it. I came to a safe stop and had the tire replaced for $100.00 .another problem is that the brakes grind with a metal to metal sound when coming to a complete stop.another problem is that my power steering sometimes hesitates and jerks.another problem is when running the rear airconditioning on high the rear blower speed fluctuates like as if it has a bad connection.another problem that i have noticed since the colder weather around november, 2000 when i use the defroster on the front windows it smells like an electrical fire, or like wires are burning. 2007 infiniti m35x, has a tramlining issue with the steering rack system. Today while driving it forced me out of my lane and i nearly struck the adjacent vehicle. This is a severe safety issue and i'm concerned for the safety of my children. This needs to be corrected before someone is killed.

The right front tire experienceda blowout while driving on a 2 lane back road at 30 mph.also, the jack broke in half whenvehicle was being jacked up to remove the blowout tire. This caused the vehicle to crash down and almost sever the consumer's leg. Manufacturer was notified, and requested that the consumer send the jack to there corporate office.

On several occasions the mechanics customers complained of having slow leaks , the mechanic has found on numerous occasions that the cause was a small piece of paper, the tires upc sticker, which does not allow the tire to seal properly (these manufacturers have this sticker on some of their lines of tires;michelin, firestone, goodyear and b.f goodrich).nlm

My major concern is with regard to the failure of abs and traction control while driving in the snow during the snow storm on dec 5th. These systems are supposed to provide a layer of safety in these conditions. When i contacted mercedes roadside assistance, they informed me that the sensors must have gotten wet and therefore made the system inoperable. Then does this mean that there is an inherrent design problem with this vehicle. I hope you will take a look into this problem, before anyone else has to go through a nightmare driving situation as i had to. That i did not get into an accident is a miracle. However someone else may not be so lucky.dt

This is the second time a dodge transmission has had to be replaced by us. The first time was a dodge caravan-v6, probably a 1990 but i am not sure. Mileage was just over 60,000. This time it is a 1994 dodge intrepid, perhaps the same type of transmission at 87,000 miles. My feeling is that dodge has known about transmission problems for over 10 years now and they continue to make cars with transmissions that fail at what i consider unacceptable mileage.to have to pay $1,790 to rebuild a transmission on a '94 car is unacceptable. The person who rebuilt the transmission told us that he does a lot of dodge's and that if they put in a different shift kit this would not happen. (tiresize: 15)( dot number:tire size: 15 )

Transmission failure @ 70,000 miles needing complete rebuild for $1,600 - even though the transmission had been serviced by chrysler in jan. 1999 @ 38,249 miles. At 14000 miles the rear end was making grinding sounds, dealer replased berings, shims and seals with a flush job. Now at 56000 the rear end is doing the same, the now tell me that the side and pinion berings seals and shims are bad. This is not right that i should have to pay for this. I have not toed or have had any extra heavy load in the truck. At my milage the truck is hardly broken in, i drove my chevrolet and ford truck both 1/2 tons well over 200k miles and never a problem with the rear end. This one the dodge ram 2500 diesel in less then 60k the rear end goes two times. The other problems i had i did not make a big stink about them i was told that the truck was out of warranty. So i kept my mouth shut, but this rear end problem is the straw that broke the camels back. I work for a living i don't have money to throw in the wind, this is the problem of the manufacturer, they are the one that should pay for crapy manufacturing. I should have bought a ford i know they would not have left me with the bill.( dot number:)

American honda motor co., inc. Honda automobile customer service 1919 torrance blvd. Mail stop 500-2n-7a torrance, ca 90501-2746re: 2007 honda odyssey touringdear honda, june 2, 2010 i had a scheduled appointment with miller honda, 4477 vestal parkway e,vestal, ny; for 9:00 am.the recall work for my soft brake pedal and the vibration occurring at highway speed of 65 mph and above, was to be done.five hours later, approximately 2:05 pm i stopped back with the loaner car to the dealership to see how much longer the car would be tied up and found that work on the car had never even been started.i was told a mechanic had called in and that a problem with a new car required some priority work so my car was not worked on.having worked around automobile shops from a teenager onward i am not exactly a novice.brake work is not a joke and there are serious state laws involved for a driver to knowingly drive a car with faulty brakes.unfortunately miller honda fails to realize that brakes are a priority and nothing to fooled around with.miller honda spends a fortune on advertising attempting to entice the public to come to their dealership and purchase cars from them.then they turn around and treat previous customers and honda owners as disposable items.what exactly the thinking is behind their business plan totally escapes me.my understanding is that i am free to have my honda repaired by any honda dealer?should this information be accurate, i can only hope that there is one in the area that is actually interested in customer service and just might have a desire to sell another honda someday.miller honda of binghamton new york just doesn't seem to be one.

Both rear hydraulic brake lines ruptured at the flare fitting entering each caliper within 2 weeks of each other. The dealer was unable to replace the first one, right rear, because chevrolet informed them that "the part did not exist!" the dealer was forced to reflare the old line. Within 1 week, it broke again in the same spot. I replaced the line with an aftermarket one myself. Less than a week later, the other rear brake line (left rear) ruptured at the flare in the same spot as the right rear, entering the caliper. I replaced it myself and took the oem broken line to viva motors to inform them to inform chevrolet that there was a potential serious defect in chevrolet s-10 rear brake lines. The service manager advised me to call chevrolet myself since they (chevrolet) wouldn't listen to him. Since chevrolet's southwest area zone representative had previously told me to "go pound sand"i figured why bother with him. I feel the odds of two oem brake lines failing within 2 weeks of each other are astronomical and since chevrolet chose to ignore the incidents, i'd better contact you to investigate further. Hopefully, mine was an isolated case but i doubt it because as i said, the odds are astronomical and the sw area zone rep chose to say the part didn't exist rather than admit he had a serious life threatening problem. In reality, how can he say the truck never had brake lines? i smell a rat and would like your organization to check into it. If further investigation saves 1 life, this is well worth our efforts. Fortunately, i was able to stop safely both times my hydraulic system suffered massive failures but i will say, i think the failures took a few years off my life and absolutely caused some soiled pants. I'm not a chronic complainer by any stretch of the imagination but i'm not stupid either and chevrolet has problem with at least one of its trucks and is choosing to hide its head in the sand it wants me to go pound. Thanks for your efforts, john mullen.

My car is going into the shop again for what i think may be the sensors (this has happened before) the only differance is that this will be the second time i have to pay out of my pocket, i have contacted lemon law, the dealership, ford, and the bank holding the lease. Lemon law contacted the dealership and this was the only time i received service with a smile instead of an attitude. Even though the problem is still not resolved.please let me know what i can do to have these problems resolved.( dot number: )

Premature wear of michelin tires.

I purchased a michelin tire for a honda accord in december 2001.i did not realize at the time of purchase that the tire was 34 months old.tire failed 4 weeks ago (5/24/02) with less than 10,000 miles on it.dealer claims it was due to road hazard.the tire failed in a parking lot at less than 10 mph.there were no road hazards in sight.the dealer would not replace the tire.i had to buy another michelin tire to match the other tires.the replacement tire they sold to me was manufactured at the same time as the original tire--making it 40 months old at time of purchase.i think it is highly unusual that michelin can sell tires that are 3 1/2 years old as new tires. Are there any regulations in place that prevent tire manufacturers from selling stock as "new" when it was actually manufactured 2.5 - 3.5 years earlier? this appears to be a gross misrepresentation of a "new" product.would appreciate your comments.thank-you.don bintz 702-656-8074 h.p.

I own a 1999 acura integra with michelin tires (p 195/55 r15 84v xgt v4). In august, 2000, the left front tire developed a quarter-sized blister on the side wall which appeared to be caused by an internal air leak.at the time, the tires had approximately 16,000 miles on them. Upon observing this blister, i first contacted my local acura dealer.i spoke to a man in the service department who told me, without even looking at the tires, that the damage was a road hazard and therefore not covered by the warranty.not satisfied, i next contacted michelin's customer service hotline and was instructed to go to national tire and battery (ntb) in ellisville, missouri.upon what i considered very casual observation, an ntb sales representative told me the defect was not covered under warranty and that a new tire would cost $180.00 because the tires are "high performance".the salesman further stated that the blister presented a major safety issue which i believed at the time and took seriously.the salesman gave me a 20% customer satisfaction credit because i was angry about the high replacement cost for a single tire.i was particularly annoyed because the tires were relatively new and designated as "high performance"which should mean that they are good tires.long story short, i grudgingly paid $133.70 for a new tire.i accepted this at the time because i had no choice.however, i am not satisfied with this transaction and frankly, i am surprised (suspicious) that these high performance tires can so easily fail to perform safely under normal operating conditions. Please assist log this complaint in the event other consumers are experiencing similar difficulties.as an attorney who formerly prosecuted consumer fraud, i am skeptical about the conduct of michelin and ntb identified above and respectively suggest that your office consider investigating this matter.thank you in advance.( dot number: )

Consumer experienced numerous blow outs with michelin tires.*mr

One the michelin tires on exploded.manufacturer confirmed that there was no point of impact , the tire just exploded. The other three tires are falling apart.

This was the third tire failure in the past year. On each occasion the sidewall blew out, and at the end of the blowout location, the steel belt was very rusty. In all 3 cases michelin would not examine the tire. On the first blowout they had none of these tiresd in stock in the usa and i had to replace the two front tires with the xze style. The rated pressure on the tire is only 90psi, instead of the 100psi on the xrv style. Michelin advised me to add 10 more ppsi to these tires exceeding the recommended pressure, so i could get above the 60mph rating of these tires. They only agreed to go 50% cost on replacement of the 4 other xrv tires and refused to replace the substitute tires that were put on earlier. I feel michelin has made some defective tires, and will refuse to admit it, to me or the chassis manufacture. Michelin keeps claiming the vehicle is overweight or the tires are under pressure. These 2 factors do not occur. I sent my weight certification into freightliner, which was over 2000 lbs. Under and i maintain tire pressure at 100psi. Their latest excuse on the failure was that maybe the transporter who transported the vehicle from the manufacture to the dealer ran the tires low for a smoother ride. I find that hard to beleive, as the tire pressure was correct on me taking delivery. I think michelin is always finding excuses instead of admitting fault. Last week fri mar. 16, 2018, i drove my 2005 mitsubishi gallant es car into work.on my way, i heard a pop sound from the car.then a very loud car noise and felt rattling, and the car drive was not a smooth one.i figured it was a flat tire.i was entering the i75 highway.once on the highway, i pulled across 3 lanes to the right shoulder of the highway.this was 7 am and dark, and also during rush hour trafficso lucky to be able to pull over safely.i drove about a few seconds on the shoulder, stopped the car, and parked there.i could smell burning metal.i then called aaa and the service driver came and changed the flat tire. This was not a simple punctured car tire.the michelin car tire had exploded - the car tire had come off the rim. After this exploding car tire incident, i am emotionally shaken and scared.to think that i could have been killed, and not be here today because of a possible defective tire.or i could have suffered serious injuries, or caused a major accident on the highway. Note:1.i purchased the 4 sets of tires from costco on dec. 20, 2016, and the odometer reading was 125,597 km; and right now, the odometer reading is about 151,350 km, therefore these 4 sets of tires had only been driven 25,753 km or 25,753 km / 1.60934 km/mile = 16,002 miles over in about 15 months.2.the vehicle was originally from canada, therefore it reads inkm instead of mile.3.i have taken photos of the exploded tire which completely separated from the rim.i can send those photos to you anytime.4.i will be going to costco to replace the tire this week, i think costco will want to keep the exploded tire, should i give it to costco?

My son and i were returning home to new orleans, la from a dog show in houston, tx on july 20, 1998.i had some minor problems with my engine and had stopped to have it repaired.i left that place of business about 10 am and was driving on interstate 10 for about 2 hours when it felt like my van had been rear ended by another vehicle.my steering wheel began shaking horribly and it took all of my strength to hold the wheel straight.i realized that one of my back tires had blown out, or so i thought.when i was able to pull over onto the shoulder and examine my tire, i saw that the steel belt had come off of the tire and i still had pressure in my tire tube.i then drove on the shoulder of the interstate with that bad tire for about 5 miles to the next exit.fortunately there was a tire service center there and i was able to have my tire changed out. I kept the defective tire, since i had major damage to the rear end of my van.the belt hit the underside and rear panel of my van so hard that it bent it under about 8 inches.i sent the entire tire to michelin explaining what had happened, and they claimed that my tire had evidence of being underinflated.what they did not bother to ask me, was if i had ever bothered to check my air pressure or rotate my tires.i have records from my tire center, that will state that i had my tires rotated quite frequently, and i keep up with all the maintenance on my van.i put a lot of highway miles on this van when i travel to dog shows, and i always check my oil, water, transmission & power steering fluid, and my tire pressure before every trip.and i had just recently left a mechanic's shop where 3 mechanics would have noticed if my air pressure was noticeably low.the air temperature at the time of the incident was about 98 degrees, and my van was loaded down with about 6 siberian huskies and all my equipment i take to the show.and that is probably what kept me from rolling my van.

I purchased a new 2010 ford fusion and have been having issues with one tire losing air for several months now but they had been unable to find the leak until recently.finally after going to two tire centers on friday they were able to find that, as i understand it, there is a defect in the tire/rim that caused an indent in the tire at the inner bead that caused a slow seeping leak.i have a statement from the owner of that tire center that in no way would a seal be a permanent fix.i then had to take it into the ford service center were it was confirmed that the beads were not sealing to the actual rim.a bead seal was done on all four tires but neither the tire or the rim was replaced.i requested a new tire but was told that this was what was being done for this problem and to come back if the problem continues.i have read other complaints about this problem and statements that others have even experienced blow-outs at very low mileage.i have a 16 year old daughter with a learner's permit and am very concerned about her driving this vehicle.she needs driving hours on the highway but this is going to be very difficult to do since i am worried about there being a problem with my tires.this is a vehicle that we had planned on possibly passing down to her, but if there is not a recall on this before then, we may have to purchase new tires and rims just to feel comfortable doing so.i don't think that we should have to pay to replace four tires and rims after purchasing a brand new vehicle, at just approximately 12,000 miles.

I own a bmwx6 2009 and under 30,000 miles i have to change tires under normal driving conditions. The owner manual indicated that tires needs replacement after 6 years the most. The tires threads under 30,000 are under spec. And recommended to replace them by bmw service center. I replace them and i found out that michelin is not given a warranty for tires installed on bmwx6 2009 even that on the owner manual is a statement that the tires are warranted by their manufacturer. Why a brand new car is sold with tires which are not under warranty? not taking a chance to have an accident i replace all 4 tires at my cost of over $1700 and bmw is not taking any responsibility that the tires are wearing out too soon and to inform all the owners of a potential danger driving the car with tires which are not even warranted by their manufacturer.

We were driving home from lancaster, ca to ventura, ca. While driving we heard a strange noise and then my husband (who was driving) said the car was difficult to steer.

There is also a noise that the truck makes that was present before this incident.there is likely more damages to my truck also..it seemed extremely unsual that a simple flat would cause so much damage that is why im contacting your organization for assistance.im in the process of contacting michelin tires supplying them with sufficient details of the incident to see what went wrong to my tire.thank you for your time and cooperation.please contact me as soon as possible regarding this matter.respectfully yours, dey nguyen.( dot number: hmdnex144 tire size: 205r16104s )

We were driving home from lancaster, ca to ventura, ca. While driving we heard a strange noise and then my husband (who was driving) said the car was difficult to steer. As quickly and safely as we could we got to an offramp. We had a flat on the left front tire. During my call to aaa, my husband decided he would change the tire so i cancelled the request for service. Getting back on the freeway we heard the same noise that we had heard earlier so we pulled off the freeway again and saw that we had another flat tire, this was on the rear right. I called aaa and they had to tow us to ventura (approximately 40 miles) since we used the spare tire for the 1st flat. When we got to the sears automotive center, they told us that there had been a recall on the tire valves on our tires which we had purchased from sears on july 18, 2007. One other comment - on may 6, 2009, the front right tire went flat at my work place; aaa put the spare on and then we brought it into sears to have it repaired. They said there was a nail in it - no mention of tire valve problems.

Throttle sticks in up position, requiring a hard press( stomp) to activate. This lead to a accident in wet weather where the stomp led to the vehicle spinning out during a turn. The fuel pump failed last year, which i understand is common in this vehicle.the two major problems now are that the car makes a loud "clunk" when making continuous turns (e.g., ramps) even at low speed, and the steering wheel is making odd sounds.also the heater makes the front console too hot to touch on the right side.

Consumer states tire blew out without warning. The problems was the wheels, and irregular tire seal surface. They always loss tire pressure and leaked . Consumer had to purchase 4 new tires.

While driving, vehicle suffered a sidewall cut and sudden deflation of the right front tire. *lathe consumer stated this was the third time the vehicle suffered sidewall damage, which required the replacement of the tires and wheels.the consumer believed the combination of the low profile tires and the design of the 17 inch wheels on a low speed roll of the wheel into a pothole can cause the tire to be pinched and cut or damaged by the rim of the wheel. The tire dealer and the acura dealer stated the tire failures were due to road hazards, however the consumer disagreed since the failure happened three times.

Tire rims corroding, causing pits which generate tire leaks at the rim.initially assumed poor tire seal job, but problem recurred repeatedly for all tire rims, sometimes causing tire deflation at every trip.if not noticed, such deflation could lead to.dt

My aluminum wheels have corroded at the tire bead seat severely. This produces tire pressure loss constantly. The wheels are not corroded at the face but at the area where the tire seals. My local tire store in michigan says they see this same issue regularly. I am a ford engineer and have complained about this defect to the wheel engineers and they say there is no such problem. The tire store also added that aluminum wheels combined with michelin tires are the worst. Two of my wheels have this problem now with the original tires. This is a safety problem as they keep loosing air. I have to add air once a week.pls call me- i can show them to you. I dismounted the rears and the corrosion is severe. I take care of my cars-there is no excuse for this level of corrosion. Thanks.(tiresize: 215x70x15)

The first problem happened the first week after i bought the car. The seal broke on the tire they said and the tire went flat without my ackowledgement and i had to buy a new tire because the inside tube was ruined.since then i have had to get different tires resealed because the seal breaks.i was told that they feel its a problem with the rim.on 12/31/98 i had to get one resealed again and since then the tire still looks low and i have to put air in it once a week.( dot number: )
