Dealership has refused to repair ( warranty ) my 4 month old 2003 ford excursion.the door locks do not work, the roof leaks, the hood is crooked. The cruise control sticks and the truck accelerates but when the off button is pushed the engine dies.the paint has 100,000rust particles in the finish, the primer is showing through the white paint in places on the truck, strange noise when the truck is first started.*nlm

It's unfortunate that honda motor co has not taken any corrective action to address the numerous problems with its acura mdx transmission problem and i am calling for a full federal investigation along with a potential class action suit against honda. A vehicle of this calibre on a luxury line, costing thousands of dollars is supposed to live up to its reputation. To be further proactive, i ask all the mdxers for us to start a chain blog for acura and the other car manufacturers to see how extensive these problems are. Acura has been less than cooperative during my interactions with them.so first let me talk about the problems and issues on my mdx.it started with grinding and whining noises coming from my 2005 mdx while still under warranty. I brought it in to open road acura of wayne, nj several times to fix the problem but issue still remain today. Finally, i was told that the transmission would need to be replaced at my expense to correct this problem. When driving 50-60 mph, whining noise from engine area develops. It can be unbearable sometimes, sort of what you experience with earaches on a plane. The engine idles rough, in a grunting way. Initially, constant noise came from the tensioner pulley. I paid and got that fixed even though this was a recall issue. Two weeks into buying the car brand new, something in the drop down dvd screen was rattling and i got that fixed. Then, the dvd/nav froze on me causing yet another repair and time lost. So, now back to this transmission problem. I contacted acura hq and they asked me to contact the dealer. I asked for them to initiate call to dealer but said they weren't allowed to do so and all repairs is at discretion of dealer. Now what happens if car seizes while i'm driving causing serious injury or death? acura has refused to even call me back as a courtesy and has never done so with its customer. This issue should be covered under warranty but dealer claims its at their cost. Dealer service is good, policy is bad.

I bought my car new in 2006.it was sold with the tubless tires or tires that can be driven over 100 miles to the nearest place that can help you.the first set of tires were exactly like the second set of tires.they were rotated and balanced and inflated to manufacturer recommendations.the tires did not last even a year. I had to replace each set due to poor wearing. They became treadless and the cords were actually wearing through the tires.i still have my last set for someone to look at.one of the tires were actually flat but due to the faulty make of the tire my cares sensors did not detect that the tire was actually running flat.the tire is very unsafe and is a hazard .the rotors and brakes also shake when you mash on the brake pedal.i have since put new tires on that are regular tires and not tubless tires.i have also take my vehicle to the dealer who has turned the rotors and put on new brake pads.i also have taken it to another mechanic who has on the first visit turned the rotors and adjusted the brake pads and on the next visit had to replace the rotors and brakepads both.i am still having trouble with my rotors and brakes.the rotors shake when you put on the brakes still.my tires have been fine since i changed tires.

The contact owns a 2011 ford f-350 equipped with michelin m+s all season tires, size lt 275/65 r20, dot b70t003x2211. The contact stated that while driving approximately 20 mph, the vehicle began to vibrate and the front passenger side tire had malfunctioned. While changing the tire the contact discovered that the inside section of the tread had separated from the tire. The contact indicated that 3 days later while driving approximately 65 mph, the front end of the vehicle began to vibrate and the contact stop the vehicle. Upon inspection the contact discovered that the outer section of tread on the driver side tire had too separated. The contact continued to drive at slow speeds for a short distance before tire experienced a blowout. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure but no solution was offered. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 47,000.

Noticed a bubble on the sidewall of my tire.

I own a 2008 mercury milan which came from the factory with michelin p225/50/r17 v93 m&s radial tires on it. I discovered a bubble in the sidewall of the tire and had to throw the tire away with only 8700 miles on it. I contacted michelin and inquired about these "50" series sidewall configuration tires having this problem as told to me by my tire dealer. They agreed with their dealer that these tires can't take potholes and would bubble on the sidewall and could blowout at highway speeds!! they said they have no control where the car manufacturers sell their cars with these type of tires installed on them. This problem exists on all "50" sidewall configuration tires sold by all tire manufacturers. I live in new jersey, the pothole capitol of the usa! these tires are dangerous, if a bubble appears on the inner sidewall where it can't be seen and replaced, it could blowout at high speed. I have received a courtesy reimbursement of 50% from michelin. I have also been told that i cannot change these tires and have a "55" sidewall configuration tire installed because the factory abs and tire pressure sensors will malfunction!!! i have sent a letter to ford/mercury engineering divisionto request their help in solving the problem of these sensors malfunctioning upon replacing these "50" sidewall tires with "55"s as of this writing, i have not received a reply. I have been doing business with this tire/repair facility for 40 years and they are fully aware of this problem existing with all manufacturers "50" sidewall configuration, and i trust them. I believe these tires should be offered as an option only in the northeast with a warning about the pothole damage. They were standard equipment on my milan...a 149 mile per hour tire on a 4 cylinder sedan!!!! i want the car manufacturers to do whatever is necessary at their expense to correct the sensor malfunctions if this "50" tire is replaced with one of a higher sidewall.

Tire on left rear of vehicle blew out. Tire was less then one year old and had only 25,000 miles on it. Michelin insisted it was a road hazard even though tire was left rear. (tiresize: 215/55r-16)

Going 65 mph on the freeway and my back tire blew. The sidewall completely separated from the rest of the tire.i just noticed a bubble one of the front tires, 6-25-09. I bought the tires as a set. I will be replacing all thetires tomorrow. The tires are michelin symmetry m&s p225/60 r16.

My car is a 2003 ford explorer with aluminum wheels. Overall the car is in great condition. When washing the car there is some chrome peeling from the wheel at the hub extending out to the lug nuts. I removed the wheel after some effort due to the corrosion of the aluminum. I cleaned he corrosion from the aluminum at the hub and found internal pitting between 1/8" and 1/4" deep when probing. I am a architect with a engineering background and in my opinion the loss of aluminum structure is significant and the wheel no longer safe. The other wheels have some chrome peeling as well and will also need to be replaced although i have not looked at the depth of the pitting or removed the wheels. As ford has the explorer has had issues with wheel failure in the past and this is a issue that was not observable when i changed the brakes about a year ago to very significant now it may be worth looking into. I have a photo of the aluminum if you like and will retain the rim when i get a new one. The other three wheels have not been removed if you wish to see these in the near future undisturbed prior to replacement. The threaded portion of the axle is corroded with no threads visible and 10% of the diameter lost. The center of the wheel behind the plastic cap was 20% filled with corrosion residue when i removed it. The other side has not been opened up yet. I have had other cars over the years including fords and never have seen an issue like this.

Michelin pilot hx mxm4 all season tires failed in 1" wet snow condition.michelin isrefusing to accept tires do not work in snow.they were sold as all season and have a m+s on the side for mud and snow.my car slid off the crown of the road into the grass.the conditions were not icy.all of our other cars had no trouble.i want michelin to compensate me for the snow tires i had to buy and install so that i could drive in snow fo a total of$800.

Consumerfound left/front andleft/rear tires were flat on two different occasions. Dealer claimed that consumer's drivinghad caused tires to goflat.consumer disagreed andstated thathad foundtires flat initiallywithout a prior warning. P215/65r16, 9ctms, honda, odyssey, 2000.

On 7/22/09 we purchased 2 new tires and had them installed on the front of our 2006 chevy 3500 crew cab dually.these were purchased because we were taking a 2000+ mile trip on 7/24.on 7/24 one of these new michelin tires lt215/8516 ltz ms blew out - a complete tire failure, while we were on i-44 at high speed.no injuries and no other vehicles involved, but we report this in case it indicates a safety-related defect trend exists.

Tread sparated on right front tire earlier in year and now right rear tread is about to go. Car is driven primarily on surface roads, not at high speed.dt

While driving on the highway at 75 mph front passenger side tire blew off, leaving only the rim attached to the spindle. Sparks ignited when the rim came in contact with the concrete.consumer was able to control the vehicle, and allowed it to coast to a stop. I

The contact owns a 2002 honda odyssey equipped with michelin tire line: m+s all season tires, size: p225/60/r16 tires. The contact stated that while his vehicle was being serviced, it was advised that the tread was cracked and separating on the outside of the tire. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 54,277 and the current mileage was 69,780.

Below you will read my complaint to michelin about the quality. The sidewall blew completely off the rim while traveling at a legal speed of 70 mph. This should not happen with a premium tire made by the above company. It only had a puncture which caused it to lose air. This was verified by the dealer of discount tire in santa fe. He did tell me that now tires fail immediately when they lose pressure and blow apart. This should not happen! you should at least be able to slow the car down to examine the tire. With this happening, they are exempt from replacing the tire as a failure and get away with selling you a new tire pro rated!! how convenient!! these tires will kill someone if they haven't already. See below my response to michelin and discount tire. It had half it's tread left!!ok.............so i am under the 6 year limit and the tire did have a puncture as told to me by the selling manager. The fact that the tire blew apart signifies to me that it was a defective tire. I have had many flats in my 66 years and never saw a tire come apart like this one. By the way, it was in a matter of seconds.i have attached photos of the tire for you to see and i will contact the dealer to see what he has to say. I can tell you this..............if this is the best explanation you have for a premium tire, i will not put another set of you tires on any of my vehicles. I will also do my best to inform the general public of your policies. I would expect more from a company that i have had a long standing relationship. Too bad...........i see it as a sign of the times!!

The contact owns a 2017 mercedes-benz e400 convertible equipped with michelin m+s tubeless radio x tires, size: 255/35/r18 94h (na). While driving 60 mph, the contact noticed that the rear passenger side tire was flat. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rear passenger side tire had a bubble on the sidewall. The tire was inflated. While driving 60 mph, the vehicle shook uncontrollably and the rear passenger side tire blew out suddenly. The tire pressure indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to capital eurocars (3705 w tennessee st, tallahassee, fl 32304 at (888) 701-6470), but the failure could not be replicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vin was unknown. The approximate tire and vehicle failure mileage was 2,000.

Dt*:the contact stated while driving 35mph, on normal road conditions, the tire blew from the sidewall.the tire received regular pressure inspections.it was replaced with the spare until the vehicle can be taken to the dealer for repairs.the tire was michelin 225/60r16 all season.

All 4 tire stems/valves were fractured ... Ford denies a recall ... Internal memo acknowledges a product wide problem with tire calves from that factory.
