I am writing to report the second failure of a valve stem from ntb.the tire is a michelin tire installed on a 2002 chevy tahoe.all tires are properly inflated and are maintained at the proper level.the first occurrence was approx. 2 years ago and the tire lost pressure, delaminated and blew out.the current tire lost pressure but is intact.upon returning home my wife attempted to reinflate the tire to determine where the air is leaking from.it was determined that the air was leaking from the valve stem.both tires and valve stems were purchased from ntb.

My vehicle is having automatic transmission problems. I have taken it to several mechanics and the dealership and have been told they need to run diagnostics. They diagnosed the same problems and said the sensor and transmission need to be replaced. I have done some research and found that most 2003 and 2004 honda owners have had this problem. This morning i was driving on the highway and my car stopped and i was almost rear ended.this problem has been there for a while and i took it in before but was told different sensors needed to be replaced.

I own a 2006 ford f-350 4x4 short bed crew cab pickup truck. I am the original owner and no modifications have ever been made. I have kept the vehicle in good mechanical shape, kept the tires inflated to recommended levels, and kept the tires balanced and rotated. The vehicle has always experienced a severe steering oscillation whenever the vehicle is traveling over 50 mph and hits a small bump on the highway. The oscillation is most severe if the bump is hit while in a left turn. When this occurs, i break until speed is reduced to about 30 mph to 40 mph and the oscillation stops. When this oscillation occurs, the vehicle has limited steering control. It generally travels in a straight direction butdoes not respond well to steering wheel input until the oscillation is dampened. The vehicle is difficult and in some cases impossible to control. This oscillation has occurred numerous times. In the case today, this oscillation was so severe that it has caused the vehicle to swerve into the opposing traffic lane. I nearly had a head on collision, the opposing vehicle moved over to the shoulder to allow me to pass. These oscillations have occurred with both the original continental lt275/70r18 tires and also the replacement michelin lt275/70r18 tires. Tires pressures have been maintained at 65 psi front and 75 psi rear as recommended by the owner's manual.

We were told during a routine rotate and balance service that the tires had cracks in the sidewall and tread area.we have experienced several times sudden air pressure loss during extreme weather temperature swings.we have had the tires checked for punctures and the alloy rims checked for possible holes or defects.i then approached the dealership and(a michelin retailer).both establishments indicated they did not handle original equipment warranty issues.i contacted michelin who referred me to ntb which confirmed the tire issue.after two calls to michelin i was able to finally got them to give me a 60% good will credit on replacement tires. The tires had only been on the vehicle for two years and four months.they had at least 50-60% tread life remaining.michelin was more interested in making excuses than trying to address the problem.information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

I had to replace all 5 tires within 2 years of my vehicle purchase. The new tires are now just over 2 1/2 years old. One blew out on a residential street while going 35 miles/hour. The 2nd tire replaced was also separating and causing the van to vibrate just as the first one so i took it in 6 weeks after the first blowout. Leaving the tire store my van is still vibrating and now i notice the 3rd tire is buckling on the outside wall. The 4th tire does not appear to have any major issue yet. The 5th is my spare-never used. Discount said they wouldn't replace the 2 front tires until they had the same issue as the rear tires, without cost to me. These tires are from the same lot #s. They should all be replaced before accidents, or worse, occurs. All tires were michelinltx m/s lt225/75 r16.

I own a 2002 chevy silverado 2500 on which i have four michelin ltx m/s 245/75-16 tires. After 18 months and 10,000 miles the sidewalls began to crack. I have michelin tires on all four of my vehicles and have never had one crack even on 6 year old tires. I called michelin, but they say that is normal weathering. Now they are cracking to the point that the tread could easily separate. My tire dealer is going to replace them, but michelin will not reimburse them as michelin denies there is a problem. I see from online blogs that sidewall cracks in this tire are appearing all over the country and michelin is stonewalling it. This is a life threatening situation which should be investigated.

Michelin ltx m/s xl p235/75r-15 on 93 explorer xl. Tires are 5 yrs old with less than 5000 miles.series of sidewall cracks about 8" long appeared in front right tire, approx 5/8" from rim, with the longest crack about 4" long and 0.11" deep.no failure yet, and the americas tire dealer says the cracks are not a problem, but the number of complaints of sidewall cracking and blowouts in michelin tires concerns us.

2 blow out on 2 separate tires in a matter of 3 weeks.

I was driving on i-65 south bound on i-65 in goodlettesville, tennessee when my left rear tire blew out.the tire had plenty of tread left and apparently the steel belts came apart and blue outward.

Michelin ltx ms 245/65r17. 61,000 mile, 4 months to 5 years after installed. Found small cracks on tread and sidewall because of dry rot. And tires lost pressure quickly.remained 4/32" tread, but fear to potential danger. I'm in ohio, the rubber suppose not to dry rot so quickly. I called michelin customer care, they said tires passed 60k warranty. I mentioned them that this problem is not related to millage, but time. I believe that the problem is material that dry rots too quickly.

The side wall of tires with approximately 30,000 miles and 4 years old are pealing off.i purchased 4 tires when the vehicle had a little over 30000 miles.2 were ok.the other 2 the sidewall pealed off in chunks.i have pictures of the tires.michelin offered 65% discount on new tires a year ago.11 months and 10,000 miles later they offered only a 22% discount.they indicated i used up 43% of the tire life in 11 months and 10,000 miles.

On 6/22/01 i bought 4 new michelin 245-75r16 truck tires for my pickup for $524.62.the vehicle is used for pleasure and is always garaged.the tires currently have only 16,251 miles on them. During my annual vehicle inspection, the inspector noticed that all four tires had cracking sidewalls (dry-rot). I returned to the place of tire purchase and the manager said that the tires were not safe, could possibly blow-out, and should be replaced. The tires look brand-new other than the cracked sidewalls.i contacted michelin and they refused any action.i believe that tires should not fail due to dry-rot with only 16,251 miles.

I purchased a total of 7 michelin ltx m/s tires lt225/75r16 e for my mini motorhome.they are dry-rotting right off the rims.this is an established problem.when i was directed to a dealer (forrest tire of artesia, nm) i was offered a discount on buying more tires.i was extremely dismayed that michelin was querying the tire dealer about the make, model, year and mileage of my motorhome!what has that got to do with defective/dangerous tires? i spoke with a man who had the same problem with ltx m/s tires that came on his new pickup and they were replaced for mounting and balancing only. I purchased two for the front, but simply can't buy all 7 on social security, then sue michelin.these are lot numbers b3jh fbxx 0905, 0205, and 4204.i can scrape dried rubber off the sidewall with my fingernail! this is dangerous, and i am sitting here afraid to drive on the highway, waiting for something to happen.
