Had a front end collision into the side of another vehicle whom ran a red light. We estimated our impact speed at 30 mph upon colliding together. Neither front airbags deployed. Suffered neck and back bruising and muscle strain.

On february 18, 2005 approximately 6:25 am was traveling west on quail meadow drive approximately 65 feet from stop sign a bus made a turn into my lane coming from intersecting street. Moved over to right onto the curve traveling approximately 30 to 35 mph, the right rear tire caught the edge of a gutter which was approximately 3 feet from where care entered the curve. When the tire hit the edge of the gutter that was rounded, the tire blew throwing the car to the right and the overhead airbags deployed causing seat belts to grab tight around me, and i managed to stop the car between a light pole and a brick fence. The car wastowed to the dealership. The wheel, tire, airbag control module, headliner, seat belts, airbag sensors and the left and right side air bag modules had to be replaced at a cost of $3800.00. Oem parts were replaced. When the car was being repaired. The dealership had to order another airbag control module because the first one they received was defective.

While traveling at 65 mph the back left tire tread separated from the tire. It tore the skirt around the back wheel from the holding screws ,causing major damage to the left bumper. Also, ittorethe black border panels from door and bumper. The amazing part was that the tire never went flat. Have photos.

We have a dodge 2000 model 2500 4x4 pu that has a utility bed on it.it came from the factory with michelin a/s ltx 245/75/16 load e tires.2 of the tires have been damaged by road objects.they were replaced by 2 goodyear wrangler ht tires of the same size installed on the front. This truck has major steering problems and wanders all over the road.some tire shops have told me that it is a rule never to mix michelin lt radial tires with lt radials of another brand because they cause these problems.i cannot get this in any documents nor will the costumer service people for the tire companies conform this.original tires have 2/3 tread left and gsa motor pool maintenance control will not authorize the replacement of the other original tires nor will they authorize the replacements to be of the same mfg and style as the original. I need some help in getting this problem resolved before we have an accident.

Having heard about michelin recalls i checked the tires on my 2001 gmc sierrapickup.i have michelin lt245/75r16 120/116r xc lt4 tires with less than 20,000 miles wear.two of them are "crumbling" out 1 1/2 inch above the rim.you can see fibers in the holes.there are cracks everywhere on all the tires.they have been covered from the sun.granted the tires have age but i have never seen "crumbling" before.

In the last two months, i have had three flat tires.the first was a completely shredded on the freeway at speeds 65 mph.costco replaced the tire, which was only 7 months old on may 3, 2004.a month later, sometime in june,a second flat, on the freeway.costco claimed it was a nail.they said they patched it up and sent us on our way.the third flat, just yesterday on july 18, another flat.we took this tire and to another tire shop and they said it is a problem with the valve stem.we asked that they check the tire, which supposedly costco patched back in june and they said the tire had not been patched and that the air gage was replaced.what we infer is that costco knew something was wrong with these valve stems, lied about it and let us go on our way.knowing full well that we still had two tires with bad stem valves.this third and final example is proof.three out of four tires gone back in a period of 10 months is unusual.i don't know if it is a tire defect or a costco, man-made defect and need help.

Purchased tires from costco for the back of my pickup. They placed 82.5 psi in the rear tires of a empty pickup...as directed by michelin. This created a very serious safety issue as the truck did 3 revolutions down the freeway due to severely crowned tires. Someone has to stop this recommendation or someone is going to be hurt/killed. This is a common sense issue that neither costco or michelin will address. I would like a response to this email if possible. This practice has to be stopped, please review with your engineers. Thank youdon preuitt.
