Michelin x radial lt2 p225/70r16 101t tires with dot numbers ap4v 003x 2614,ap4v 003x 2714, ap4v 003x 2614,and ap4v 003x 2114. All 4 tires installed09/04/2014 @ 80,421 miles.08/31/2019 odometer at 97,528 miles. 17,107 miles on 75,000 mile warranty tires. Tire dry rot and cracking first noticed in 2015 and has progressed to the point where a tire professional has stated that the tires are no longer safe to drive with on 08/31/2019. There is a need for a determination on what size of sidewall and tread cracking that will cause a safety risk and when a manufacturer should recall and replace for these defects.i have tires from the same manufacturer that are years older that have been exposed to the sun a lot more that do not have dry rot cracking on the sidewall or in the tread.
Purchased a new 2012 f150 with michelin ltx a/t2 tires 12000miles and i noticed that they were dry rot between the tread lugs took back to dealer had them replaced now around 12000 mi. Later have same problem dry rot cracking between lugs and on sidewall i believe this tire has a problem and michelin needs to recall them before some innocent person is injured or killed. How many times are we going to replace something defective with something defective.
I have a 2011 ford f350 that came with michelin ltx a/t2 - lt275/65r 20 tires. It has just over 28,000 miles, has only been serviced by a ford dealer, with each service report indicating no problems with respect to tire issues. Traveling on the freeway i experienced a shaking in the front end like a wheel had thrown a weight. Pulling off the road i discovered a tread separation bubble approximately 12-13" long on the outer portion of a front tire. After changing to the spare we continued that day's driving. The next drive in the truck was towing our 5th wheel home and i again experienced the same shaking. I pulled over again and found the other front tire had separated in the same manner and size bubble. The two separations occurred within 300 miles of each other. It was only my recognition of the vibrations in the steering wheel that alerted me to pull over to inspect the tires before they blew out catastrophically. A catastrophic tire failure under normal circumstances is difficult enough, but while towing is an imminently greater hazard.i found the closest ford dealership and had to purchase two new tires to get home. Once there i went to my ford dealer and told them i wanted the other two tires off the truck before they failed. They have contacted michelin on my behalf and as yet i have not heard back from them, although it's only been a week. I hope michelin steps up and replaces all four tires.the only other piece of information that may be a contributing factor is that although the tires are warranted for 60,000k miles, they were worn to (7/32-5/32-10/32) on the bubble, 180 degrees (7/32-5/32-9/32) on one tire and (8/32-7/32-10/32) and 180 degrees across (10/32-7/32-10/32) on the other.i filed this report because i see that michelin has had a very similar problem with their ltx m/s2 tire and has or is conducting a voluntary recall. This tire is so similar to the a/t that i have to wonder if it's just a different tread pattern on the same tire carcass.
Vibration in tires could not be balanced.three complete sets(4) and two replaced recently.i kept the tires
Michelin 245/35 21 tires, sidewall bubbles after less then 2500 miles weakening tire potential crash caus.
I bought 4 brand new tire michelin at town fair tire with external warranty 3 years. After 7 months the left front tire was spilt on the side depp but tire is. Not flat yet. I ask the store to exchange because it can cause dangerous accident but they said we can exchange as long as your tire is not totally flat. I don't know which institution of government can impose this business to save the client for what they paying for. I can show photo to my tire as a prove and if this front tire can flat in high way , it will course big accident. It is not fair to pay 1300$ tire with extra warranty and the store tire give a respond like" die first and after get reimbursement". Thank you
Visible multiple cracks on the sidewall of tires (4 of them installed in toyotasequoia sr5), michelin cross terrain,p-metric, bought on 02-06-2009, at costco # 485 waipio hi, still on warranty, not 2/32 worn yet.owner brought the tire for inspection at the said outlet for the tire technician to inspect, but was told that its just "cosmetic", safe to use. Owner is concerned about safety issue, an imminent tire blowout might happen. Please advise.
I felt tire severely out of balance as if a tire weight had been lost.i stopped at my first chance and found the tire had separated about 12 to 15 inches. Changed tire so as to complete trip.
I was driving along on highway 70 and had the tire separate and explode. I then went in and has the tire replaced. This then again happen a second time within 500 mile but i was able to stop before the explosion. You can see though the tread where the steel belts are showing and sticking out though the tread. Same make model and life of tire. ~4 years old and ~40000 miles. The tire is 5 year 60000 mile tire. My wear is only half life.i replaced the first tire under there prorating but the second time it happen i try to explain to them they is not just isolated incident. They told me that there tire are good, it your problem not manufacturing defects. They said they will only prorate and will not investigate in to issue of it possibly being a manufacturer fault.
All 4 tires are prematurely dry rotting causing a safety hazzardfor the driver, passengers and other drivers on the road. Truck has 33,000 miles and is 4 yrs old.other ridgeline owners have reported same problem with same tires at hondaridgelineowners.com.
During routine service i noticed that all four of my michelin ltx at2 lt275-70r18 tires are cracking between the tread and the center of the side wall, tires have less than 20,000 miles on them and they are less than three years old. Contacted michelin direct, and they advised there was nothing they could do for me. There web site states the tires have a 6 year warranty and a tread warranty up to 2/32. Tires have 7/32 of tread left. I have seen several other complaints about cracking side walls on the same michelin tire in different sizes. Michelin has a problem, they are just looking the other way.
In reference to complaint # 10558358, i located the tire under michelin north america.the inner walls near the rim on all four tires have multiple cracks.near the tread of two tires i have located additional cracks.these tires are only 3 years old with 28,000 miles.
The relatively new tire (29000 miles driven) did burst on the side. The discount tire store representative couldn't explain why? i have pictures that i can send you. In addition to the bills i incurred in the repair and replacement. Total cost $140.30 in total. The dealer believes it is a manufacturing defect.

Bought the odyssey 2011 exl and drove for 100 miles. Thenthe tpms lights came on and stayed on for ever. Taken an appoint with honda service and they would like to adjust the tire pressure. Still need to take it to the dealer and see what they say.
