Grooved road surface in combination with specific vehicles give drivers the feeling of losing control of their vehicles at freeway speeds. Specifically, the grooved surface of washington state route 520 evergreen point floating bridge (regular speed of 60 mph) in combination with current model nissan leaf, are leading to significant "groove wander" with heavy shaking to the left and right. The rapid onset of such shaking upon driving onto the bridge at 60 mph is giving drivers a feeling of losing control of their vehicles. This effect does not get better even when reducing speed to 40 mph.this has been going on ever since the new bridge was opened over a year ago, and is much worse than the side winds experienced on the previous bridge. Nissan denies being aware of this issue. At my workplace, multiple drivers have reported this effect, which also occurs on a pavement test segment between redmond wa and woodinville wa (avondale rd).

I was using a michelin green x tire for about 2 years an mileage of 50000. In a 45 degree curve suddenly my tail went out of control and i ran into the middle separate of road, caused a lot of wreckage . I was told that this was because of low rear tire grip to the road.

I purchased a 2013 lincoln mkx in april 2015; dealer said they installed 4 new michelin green-x tires, latitude tour 245/60 r18, dot ap4a 005x, and was told they are rated at 90,000 milesi recently felt a vibration while driving at 55-60 mph so i checked the tires visually and found what looked like little jigsaw shaped pieces of tread that you could actually lift with a touch of your finger!! i called the dealer where i bought the car (& tires) and they said they would tow it to their service facility. I decided to drive it there, and by the time i arrived (about 40-45 miles) all those flaps of rubber were gone!! they had come off and left gaping holes where the tread used to be, all over the front tires.the service manager said he'd never seen anything like it and called other mechanics and service personnel; they were all curious as well.the dealership replaced all 4 tires with more michelins, then my son told me the tires are defective and should be recalled. It doesn't seem that michelin is very concerned about their customer's safety, as this website doesn't list my tires as being recalled. The dealership charged me about $1000 for the new tires, but i'm very worried these tires are also defective!!i think michelin or the dealership should replace the tires for free, with something else that is not defective!i will never buy michelin tires again, nor will i buy another vehicle from this dealership.

The tire dealer recommended michelin primacy mxv4 as a replacement tire for my 1997 volvo 850 (normally aspirated) sedan. The michelin website described this tire as an "acceptable substitute" for the tires specified by volvo because michelin no longer offers high performance tires in my size. Stopping power is much worse with these new michelin tires. They squeal easily, even at volvo's highest recommended air pressure (36psi). I had difficulty stopping from 50mph in an emergency, for the first time in my 17 year ownership of this vehicle. I blame these new "comfort oriented" tires.

Michelin defender tires;all 4 tires are dry rotting where the tread meets the casing and belts .degradation of the tires over a little over 2 years is extremely premature considering these tires are advertised to give 90,000 miles and we probably only put on around 8,000 miles a year .we live in the pittsburgh, pa area where they use several different ice melting chemicals including rock salt that can enter the large cracks in the rubber and eat away at it .i'm afraid to take the car on long trips using interstate highways at high speed for fear of the tread separating from the casing of the tire . What's ironic is that looking on-line there are many other people also complaining about michelin tires dry rotting prematurely .i have several excellent close-up pictures that i can email upon request .

I almost had a horrible accident on 1-22-15.i was going about 50 mph when the rear passenger tire completely disengagedfrom the tire rim.all that was left on the rim was a two inch remnant of the tire.i will e-mail you a picture of the tire and i assure you that you never saw anything like this.the tire only had 12034 miles on it. The tire was a michelin energy green x. Tire size p215/55r17 which was made in canada.dot b33f00rx0813. It is a miracle i did not get into a serious accident.i was so unnerved i went to the nearest tire shop and purchased four new goodyear tires that cost me $642.00.i called michelin's customer service dept. And they saidsorry but they will not give me a dime-as expected. Check out a site consumer affairs that has no fewer that 257 complaints about michelin tires.

Tire dry rotting at 20,000 miles. Only 3 years old.tires are bulging/separating on the tread of the tire causing the vehicle to vibrate while driving.

The low pressure light came on as i was taking a trip of about 65 miles to my mothers home.i stopped and checked the tires and had to put air in the two tires on the passenger side of the car. The light did not go out; but i thought that might be because i did not turn the car off so i continued the last 3 miles of my trip.i parked the car at my mothers and visited for about 4 hours.when i got ready to leave, i walked around the car and checked the tires again.i did not note any problems with the tires or them being low; but the light came back on when i started the car. I continued on home with the intention of taking the car back to my dealership.about a third of way home i had the passenger side rear tire blow out.there isa whole in the outside tire wall, and the inside tire wall separated from the tire.

I purchased all four michelins about a year ago. Since then i had two blowouts on the rear drive-side tire and one on the front driver-side tire.all three blew out on the sidewalls, two of which were on the inner side sidewall and one on the outer side sidewall.there were no nails, glass, or other debris responsible for these blowouts. The first one not only left a gapping hole on the inner side sidewall, but it got so hot it also blew out the tire stem and was smoking for a good hour afterwards. They replaced that tire with a brand new michelin of the same type. Then the second blew out happened on that new tire several months later also leaving a gapping hole on the inner side sidewall and it was so hot the guys couldn't even touch it to fix it until they doused it with water. They replaced it with a brand new michelin as well. Then several months later (today) the front driver side tire blew similarly. I did not crash and there was no fire, however there was a lot of smoke and these instances could have easily been a lot worse since i was on the freeway each time, but i'm lucky they were not. I definitely feel we are dealing with some defective tires here.

Michelin green x 55r17 all four tires had the belts separate from the rubber at less than 34,000 miles. No crash as it was caught in time but very dangerous problem. Dot number is not entirely legible but looks like x3 jj 0j0x 2115. Purchase new on a 2016 ford escape.

Michelin looked at the tires and will replace them offering a 43% adjustment which in reality is closer to a 25% adjustment based on what the tires can be purchased for vs msrp. These tires present a potential for sidewall failure.i believe michelin should be more pro active in addressing what is a wide spread problem with these tires in rv use.

Recently became the owner of 04 4runner with what we thought at first glance were new tires.after poor driving conditions and checking the tires we found both front tires with tread chunking off in medium pieces and are unsafe.both rear tires are fine.we live on a pretty small island where daily drives are at most probably 50 miles max if that.these tires are complete crap and need to be recalled before someone gets hurt.i will never run a michelin tire again due to this.obviously the company cares more about profit than lives.p165 70r17 latitute tour dot b7kp 004x 1014
