While the vehicle was stationary, the contact noticed that the rear passenger tire experienced a blowout. The contact replaced the tire with a spare. After 100 miles, the rear driver side tire experienced a blowout. The vehicle was taken to walmart where the tires were replaced. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The dot number, vin, and vehicle failure mileage were unknown. The tire failure mileage was approximately 41,000.
Tires on my grand junction 5th wheel.tire brand is power touring trail express made by lionshead specialty tire and wheel, ltdtire sidewalls disntegrating on all four tires after less than 5000 miles(2 years) of use.search of internet show this to be very, very common.this is dangerous and should be investigated before someone is killed from a blowout accidents.these tires are evidently original on several brands of recreational vehicles.if you look on the internet you will see many, many complaints about blowouts of these tires with very low mileage.this is a tragedy waiting to happen.please investigate.

Looking at many rv forum sites, tires for trailers are not lasting very long and are causing damage and accidents. Your website does not have options to specify the rv manufacturer (open range, now bought by heartland) or tires (lionshead akuret tires).

This seams to be a common, problem. Some of the side walls, remained on the damaged rim. Sent a form to lionshead specialty tire and wheel. They denied the claim. Some thing needs to be done before there is a major accident.

I have had two blowouts on my 2014 pull trailer attributed to lions head st 225/75 r15 tires, serial number 1kmm18a2813. These tires were on the trailer when i purchased it new in december 2014.one blowout occurred while under tow and the other blow out happened while mounted on the spare tire rack at the back of the trailer. This tire has never been used. The blowoutdate while under tow was reported may 16, 2016. The latest incident was february 17, 2018. This is, in my opinion, a serious safety issue.
