On my third use of my 2017 forest river r-pod travel trailer, a trip to texas from indiana, the left side single axle trailer tire completely delaminated, tearing the steel fender with light and wiring from the vehicle.this was on a 4 lane divided highway while traveling at about 65 miles per hour.the inflation of both tires was checked prior to leaving and both were inflated to the recommended psi.i installed the spare and bought a replacement tire on the same day.the next day while traveling on an interstate highway at about 70 mph the tire on the right side blew out and was torn to shreds, also tearing off the fender and wiring.neither fender was located and i trust that there were no injuries or vehicle damage as i was not notified.both of these incidents were very serious but the trailer was kept under control and was safely moved off of the roadways.forest river has refused to pay for any damages as the 1 year warranty was over.the tire distributer, lion's head, goshen, in, also refused to pay for replacement or damages as the 1 year warranty was over.these tire pose a safety hazard and should be recalled and removed from any vehicles used on the highway system.

Travel trailer tire failurestires suddenly blow out while driving on highway - two of the four trailer tires blew out on our travel trailer within a 24 hour period. - as the tread and belts were entirely torn apart, the tires were unusable and had to be replaced. Both tires did exactly the same thing. The trailer was not overloaded and the tires were two years old, tire pressure had been checked and was correct. The tires had about 5500 miles of usage.

Heading to go camping driving 55 mph with my son and wife following us in their car, the right front trailer tire blew on my camper. This caused the fender to be torn off and some of the skirting to be bend and scuffed up from the rv. Spare was put on and we continued to the campground. Now investigating what to do to proceed. I have not notified insurance yet and may attempt to order parts for rv and repair myself. All of the tires will get replaced before my next camping trip. The rv is 1 year and a month old.

Two tire failures within 100 miles, one on each side of travel trailer.tires were about a year old and had well under 5,000 miles.tires were inflated to max recommended psi and tires/hubs were inspected a few hours before the incidents occurred.trailer weight was well under max weight allowed and well within the ratings of the tires.each failure occurred while driving 60mph on highway.tread suddenly separated.tread slapped underside and side of trailer, ripping out plywood, insulation, skirting, rubber seals, wiring, etc.several thousand dollars worth of damage.

While driving west bound on interstate 80 about three miles outside of truckee california our back tire tread separated from the tire. It proceeded to slap against the wiring of the silde out that supplies all our power to our kitchen. It also pulled the brake wires from their housing and caused a great deal of damage. The tire never to blow and i still have it at the full psi that is recommended. The tread simply separated from the whole tire and proceeded to cause mayhem.

It came with four new castlerock 225/75/15 tires, all with date code 2217 or 2317.i check the tire pressure and inspect the tire each day the trailer is moved.on wed, 8/14/2019 at about 9:45 am, one of these tires threw its tread and caused damage to the side of my trailer.i was able to pull over and stop without losing control, but only because by coincidence, i just happened to be checking my mirrors when it happened.the psi was checked an hour earlier and only 20 minutes prior the trailer was weighed at 6900 lbs. (well under the axle and tire weight rating.)the manufacture at this time will only supply a replacement tire without any compensation for the damage.castlerock tire failures are very common and something needs to be done!

Our passenger side rear trailer tire blew out on our 2020 imagine 2800bh. This was a lionshead westlake that came on the trailer and had about 4k miles on it. Pressure was 80 psi when we left our site and 88 psi when it blew according to the tpms system. Our speed at the time of the failure was 60mph. I'm not sure what caused the tire to fail but it went out with a bang and the tread separated from the tire. The tpms never indicated loss of air or other issue. I pulled over immediately after i heard the bang but the damage was already done. I went out and replaced all 4 tires with goodyear endurance tires. In doing so the tech at the shop found another tire that had begun to have tread separation as well.
