I have a set of 4 uniroyal liberator a/t p235 70r16 tires dot apo8 c62u 4410 that have horrible problems. One of them is so elliptical that you feel like you are riding on a egg shaped tire that almost makes you sick at slower speeds. It has a awful vibration at higher speeds. The other 3 of the set are so out of balance that even with 5 ounces of weight, the tires still vibrate.

My third uniroyal liberator tire has failed in the same manner as the two before. This is my third complaint concerning these defective tires. These tires all failed in the same exact manner (tread/tire separation) and all within weeks or months of each other.the tread pulled loose from the carcass, causing a bump-imbalance.i recognized the failure and was able to drive home where i changed to a spare. I later replaced this tire. This tire only have about 37,000 miles. Walmart, where i purchased the tires, refuses to give any type of warranty or tire credit and no longer carry this tire.this tire had plenty of tread and was well within its life span.this liberator tire should be recalled and pulled off the market because of its consistent failure rate. I have sent complaints to uniroyal with no response.please have a recall before someone gets killed or injured. These things are junk.

Tl-the contact owns a 2004 cadillac deville equipped with lanvigator comfort 1 tires, size 225/60/r16. The contact stated while driving 70 mph, the police pulled him over and informed him that the driver rear tire had just exploded and there was piece of rubberon the road. The vehicle was towed to independent mechanics and the tire was replaced. Once the contact reached home he contacted the tire dealers who informed him that he drove the vehicle without air. The manufacturer was made aware of the problem. The approximate failure mileage of the tire was 700. The vehicle failure mileage was 100,700. An

Driving a vehicle with 4 matching tires bought in 10/07, only 6,000 miles on them. Driver was on the highway, heard a loud noise, thought his transmission fell out or something as drastic and as loud. Pulled off the exit, which was right there thank god, looked at car, tire had a 4-6" gaping ragged hole in sidewall. Rear tire, drivers side.he could have been injured fatally. Tire was obviously defectivejeep was towed to place of original purchase. Walmart in waterford ct. They tested the thread on the other 3 tires and told my son they'd replace the blown tire as the thread on the others was fine. I told m son we will not accept that as: 1.they'd all come from the same defective batch, and 2, did not want mismatching tread on tires.mind you, they felt the size of the tire was good for car at purchase, and then also today, the day one tire blew a gaping hole in sidewall.son insisted, i also told him to speak to asst. Manager pat, who told me she'd look into recalls from that batch.they then agreed they'd replace all four. But, they said,(these were the same tech's who sold the tires and installed them on the jeep,) that the tires were too wide and rubbing on the bumper, that's why it blew. Rear tires don't turn so can't rub. As i said before they wanted to put 3 matching (now incorrect size) just minutes earlier. So. I came, took pictures of the tire. 2 cameras to be safe. If you want them to save the tire. It was 3:30 pm when we left there so they may still have it. The dot # on the new tires is hhc62u. May be same as old ones.??????when we bought and had the tires installed at walmart they certainly didn't object to going from a 225 to a 235 as they said the wheel could handle that size. Now they're placing the blame on me for buying that size. They said it was fine.i'd like to add i'm afraid of these tires completely. If i had a choice i'd have chosen a different brand to be safe. They should pay for an alignment also. Thanks.
