I have a 2008 hyundai accent with 16" tires on it. The manufacture put kumo tire on it and they showed wear just @ 23000 km .they replaced with a different kind of kumo tires and at 17000 km they are done again. Hyundai tell me there is nothing wrong with car and to change to a different brand. Is there a problem with the tire or car.

I purchased a set of kumhoescta spt, size 245/35-19 tires from my retailer on jan.12 2009. On march 28, 2009,i had 1 tire replaced due to separation of the sidewall. On sept 19th, 2009, i experienced another tire failure while at freeway speed. 2 additional tires were replaced as well, as they were showing signs of failing. Jan 07, 2010 i experienced a 5th tire failure. All tire share the same type of failure. Inner sidewall separation of the cords (visible). I have asked kumho to reimburse my retailer, which they have denied.
Tire tread separation on passenger car tires.brand= kumholine = ecsta asxsize = 225/40/r18dot #= yomxyc2fwhile driving down the road, my son noticed rubber chunks flying from the front end of his car. When he stopped to check things over, he found that the tread of one of the front tires was separating right down to the base cords of the tire.the separation occurred on just one edge of the tread and was being un-spooled from the tire.i am reporting this so that it may be documented for future reference in the nhtsa database.
The contact owns a 2012 hyundai accent equipped with kumho ecsta asx tires, size 195-50-r16. The contact stated that while driving 40 mph over a railroad track, the front passenger's side tire failed.the vehicle was towed to the dealer for inspection where it was determined that the front passenger's side tire failed due to bubbles exhibited on the inside wall. The tire was replaced however, the replacement tire also failed while the contact was driving 50 mph. The replacement tire, which was also a kumho tire of the same size, failed due to tread separation.the tires were replaced.the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.the dot number was not available.the tire failure mileage was 18,000. The vehicle failure mileage was 4,000 and the current mileage was 22,000.

Kuhmo tires - zrated 235/50/18 tires on 1999 bmw 740i - tires one month old. Low usage - sidewall blow out with no external damage to sidewall. Defect in tire.
One of the tires has a sidewall bubble.i looked around on the internet and this seems to be a common problem with kumho tires.i went to the dealer we purchased the tires from and they said that i was the 4th person there that day with kuhmo tires that had sidewall bubbles.also, the tires are wearing out much faster then they should be.luckily i check our family tires once a month.if someone does not check them these sidewall bubbles could lead to a blowout and serious accidents.i believe there should be an investigation and recall of these kuhmo ecsta asx tires.

- the contact owns a 2003 2003 audi a6 quarto. While driving 65mph on the highway the contact heard a low bumping sound. The vehicle then started to pull to the right.the vehicle was taken to the dealership and they informed the contact that both front tires steel belts were completely shredded. The road conditions were clear.there weren't any pot holes nor other road hazards visible. The failure mileage was 12000 miles on the kumho ecsta asx tires.the vehicle currently has 44800 miles.
Tire first went flat when the tire was refilled with air a bubble began to form and after that the tread began to separate from the tire.
