This 93 thunderbird has a lot of problems . Leaks in body (when new 12mi) door hinges , seatbelts, seat covers rip out, fog lamps and switch recall, can't keep breaks and rotors on front, windshild wipers broke (when new) had to have new tie rod ends replaced , at about 40.000 mi. Fawr 12,349.received recall to replace tires and rims.currently has kelly 285/75r24.5 on veh single max load 6175, 5th wheel assy has been moved. Blew a left front steer tire and it did a couple thousand dallars worth of damage, he thinks he may have hit something, replaced 3 sets of steer tires for a cupping problem the gen set was added after sale by the dealer.always exceeds 12,600 on bront steer plus has to run aft of zero or center on kingbin just to get weight down close to 12000 bu cant get under.this gen set with the location doesn't add a who lot of wgt to steers.

I have had to replace all 4 of these tires at a cost of 685 dollars to myself. The tires are coming apart at where the tread meets the sidewall much the same as the firestone tires that are being recalled. I took the vehicle into pauls tires in marion indiana and they would not replace them because fincannon ford did not buy the warranty. I then took them to another kelly dealer here in muncie. They called kelly and kelly denied any other complaints of this and i was charged for the replacemnet of the tires. The first ones to go bad were the front tires. Now the passenger rear is doing the same thing. I would think that people should be aware that firestone is not the only manufacturer having this separation problem. Had i not have been putting brakes on this car i would not have even noticed that the tires were separating. Most people do not look at the tires on their car. Noticed cracks on sidewalls of tires after buying vehicle. Cracks were in the middle & near the tread. Took vehicle to tire retail dealer & had all four tires exchanged.

Same defect as nhtsa recall #98t002000 but in different tire size. Massive sidewall cracking developed on tires with 15000 miles with like new tread left. One tire has 3 inch, deep crack and on inspection, another tire is develping the exact same crack.
