Tire failure at highway speed. Tread separated from sidewalls.
The contact owns a 1991 toyota camry.at 175,000 miles, the contact purchased four kelly springfield navigator gold tires.while driving 60 mph, the front passengers side tire tread separated from the tire.the tire had 20,000 miles at the time of failure.the tire was replaced.while driving 40 mph, the belt failed on the rear drivers side tire and the vehicle began to shake.the tire had 41,000 miles at the time of failure.no crash has occurred.the engine size and dot number were unknown.the current mileage is 200,016 and failure mileage was 175,000.
The contact owns a 1993 oshkosh x line.the vehicle has kelly springfield power king tires, size 8r195 (na).in a two year time span, all six tires developed severe blisters in the sidewalls.the contact still has possession of the failed component.she called the manufacturer and they referred her back to the dealer.she took the vehicle to the dealer and a technician concluded that the tires were defective.the dealer replaced the tires.the tire failure mileage was 15,000.the vehicle failure mileage was 137,000.
Kelly springfield tires 245/5016r hugger gt-d.inner treadwall has separated approx 1/2 above rim, completely around tire. Tire is still inflated, but had a failure of front right tire in 1/2007. Did not see tire prior to replacement of tire by family member. Left rear tire has same separation but not yet as severe as front left. Car is utilized mostly on weekends and has ample tread remaining on tire surface. Pictures available. Have not yet replace tire as i will transit to store purchase location 9/30/08 for assessment.

While drivingand without warning right rear tire blewout. Also,right front tirehad a bubble onsidewall.in process of having tires changed mechanic noticed that other tires had cracking onsidewalls as well. Dealer replaced those tires.
