I have a 2008 36ft cedar creek trailer made by forrest river. The trailer came with 5 electra (ironman) tires.they are set to run at 80psi. On 9/7/2009 i had a softball size bubble appear on the outside of the tire.after many phone calls the tire was replaced with a carlisle tire no charge.on 9/6/2010 i had a complete blowout and tire shredded.breaking my fender skirt also. Forrest river said they would sell me a new fender skirt at cost but could not help with the tires.and this time i was told that the warranty was over and there was no help.i bought a carlisle tire to replace the bad one. $200.then when it was time to leave 10/14/2010 i notice that one of the other electra tires had a large bubble on the outside also.i used my spare and went home without a spare. 385 miles...when i backed the unit into its storage space one of the other electra tires went flat.today i have 2 carlisle tires mounted on my unit and 2 electra tires. Which one is flat. And my spare is flat. The trouble i have incurred with these 5 tires should never have happened.*ln

On 9/22/17 a sidewall tire failure was discovered on an installed ironman trailer tire. The tire was purchased and installed on 4/18/15 at firstone tires in surprise az. The trailer was parked at the time of discovery.

I have 5 electra ironman trailer tires made by hercules tires on my 35ft rv.i have suffered 3 catastrophic blowouts - one on each of the long trips i have taken.each failure has occurred in the same manner - the sound of a cannon followed by instant flat.the result being a 8 inch hole blown clean through the steel belts and tread of the tire.i called hercules tires today, and they referred me to their canadian division, the former make of their tires.they refused to cover any portion of the three failures i've had to date, and the two remaining tires, one of which looks like the tread is beginning to separate.i also, still have the carcass from the third blowout for inspection.they comment was - the warranty period has expired, with no concern for safety, the potential of a defect in the tires or anything else.as i am sure i am not the only one still utilizing these tires, i cringe at the thought of a loaded rv, pulled by an underrated vehicle, having these types of uncontrolled blowouts.i have had three such occurrences - may of 2001, march of 2002, and december of 2002. *nlm
