I put the spare and continued to the dealer. It was replaced with a new tire. But i feel this tire brand is a safety concern. They also tell me that this a reoccurring problem with this brand of tires.my background is that of an executive in the oe and aftermarket automotive and heavy truck industry. My employers manufactured foundation brakes, brake chambers and ride control. I know an unsafe situation when i see one and this one is not safe. I am not comfortable for the safety of myself and my family with hancook tires. My request is that someone from your legal staff contact ford's legal department and warn them about the future liability being created for them by one of their suppliers.

Oem hankook tires on 2017 ford explorer: with less than 15,000 miles on my 2017 explorer, it began to hydroplane at much lower speeds than when new. The tires are oem, hankook, ventus s1 noble.i took the car to fugate ford, who said they recently processed two other vehicles with bad hankook tires. On closer inspection with doug at fugate, you could see the tire tread was ripping away from itself all the way around the tire.fugate took pictures and phoned hankook. Fugate called me to say that because the tires had 6/32 tread remaining, they would not process the claim. Hankook needed the tread wear to be 4/32 or less.in my view, that's ridiculous... These hankook tires are defective and unsafe, whether at 6/32 or 4/32.today, i had all four defective tires replaced.

All 4 hanook tires dot # 5mnc 1a h (0216)255/50/r20 treads have been chipping resulting in unsafe conditions and excessive wear.tires completely worn out at 23,000 miles.manufacturer is aware if this resulting from new compounds (materials) used in manufacturing.high speed blowouts have been reported for this particular tire yet no recall has been issued for this tire despite its defects and safety concerns. 2018 volkswagen gti s.was actually leaving my house on the way to the dealer for an unrelated issue. As i was leaving my house, driving at like 10-15 mph on my street. My tpms light comes on saying i have low pressure. I stop immediately to check to see. My rear driver tire had a huge sidewall bulge and you could see the bead sitting on the rim lip. This was within less the 400 miles of the vehicle being on the road. I had not hit any potholes or anything just smooth pavement went it happened(or ever). I put the spare and continued to the dealer. It was replaced with a new tire. But i feel this tire brand is a safety concern. I have the same tires on my 2017 ford explorer and they are already worn down at 15000 miles. Hankook ventus tires are garbage and def a safety concern.
2017 ford explorer sport with hankook 255/50r20 105h ventus s1 noble 2 tires are chipping/cutting and wearing prematurely.vehicle only has 12,500 miles.

The side wall of my hankook 255/50 r /20 ventus s1 noble 2 tire blew out.i have a 2" hole in the side wall of the tire.i was at a stopsign on a city street, and just started moving when the side wall blew out.it sounded like a large balloon explosion and the tire went flat instantly.some hankook tires have been recalledbut the local ford dealer told me not this one.these hankook tires should be recalled.
I purchased a 2017 ford explorer xlt and after 20,000 miles i was told the tires needed to be replaced. I agree with the service man and am looking to replace them. I looked at the tires, hankook, venous s1noble 2, 255/50r20 105h and saw the dot date was 002881, 2012.. If i'm reading this correct the tires were five years old upon buying the vehicle and they are now seven years old with 20,000 miles on them. I believe they are unsafe and were probable unsafe when i bought the vehicle

Hankook ventus s1 noble2 (excluded from recall) are wearing extraordinary fast and the rubber is starting to pull apart, flake away. Chucks of rubber are coming off of the tire and leaving holes that appear to be about 1/4 inch deep . This will be our second set of tires with the same issue and the vehicle has only 40,000 miles.
