While traveling on the highway, the engine of the vehicle shut off.while trying to steer the vehicle over to the emergency lane, the brakes and the steering wheel locked up causing the vehicle to go off the side of the road and into a ditch.the car spun and landed on all four wheels and only the driver was injured. Under normal driving conditions, fortunately happened at a parking lot, brake pedal went to the floor. Initial investigation revealed leaking brake fluid. Further investigation revealed this hose, non-reinforced in any way had split at both ends of connection to metal tube. Tube is approximately 1/8" od making id of hose approximately 1/8". Wall of hose is very thin perhaps 1/16" or less. This hose is very flexible being quite similar to vacuum hose and must be under high pressure from the braking system. This is extremely hazardous.had this vehicle been traveling on the road at a higher rate of speed and the brake petal gone to the floor as it did when leaving a parking space a dangerous accident could easily and most probably would have occured. When checking the same hose on the other side of the vehicle the hose on the front drivers side is split also. There is no clamp holding thios hose in place. It merely slips onto metal tube on both ends and is split at the end of the connection sith each tube-thats four holes (two tubes). I cannot even begin to imagine the repercussions of this poor engineering design. Step on the petal and brake fluid pours out of the splits. This could happen at any time. Very, very poor design. This requires immediate action.

2011 hyundai sonata se w/ navigationpulls to the left. Now the front left tire has a big bubble on the side wall. Car is only driven on the nj turnpike.12000 miles. I've tried calling up hankook about the tire but no response from them. The service manager at hyundai admitted to the 'pulling problem'. Says its prevalent on all their models especially on the sonata se & turbo 2.0. Also, he mentioned that the remedy to fix the problem is to interchange the tires from left to right! unheard off! he also said that there is something wrong with the vehicle's 'cambor bolts'hyundai is lying by omission of facts to the public. My wife and i feel swindled and cheated. We use this car to drive to new york everyday and now we can't because we're afraid we might have an accident. Please help!

I have a 2008 ford focus, i have replace the tires on it 3 times already due to wear there is only 37,000 miles on my car.i have been given the run around from the ford dealer there is a serious issue with the suspension on these cars and its goning to cause serious accident or even death when these cars start to fail expecially at highway speeds.i am on my fourth set of tires and they will soon need to be replaced.i am also hearing a squeaking noise coming from the right rear wheel well. I believe it is also the suspension.

The hankook tires i have are bolding way too early. They started to at 32,000 for the first 2 tires and 18,000 for the other 2. The tires are rated for 70,000 miles and i'm not getting anywhere near that. Every time it rains i hydroplane and its now unsafe for me to drive my car. I have contactedhankook and was told to go to the place of purchase. So i go to vw and they told me there is nothing they can do for all 4 but only the 2. After some arguing they tell me to drive around on my bolding tires and were them down more and they will try to get me new tires but i would still have to pay. This is unsafe for a car dealer to tell me to continue driving on the, even after they seen how worn down they were! this is also the 2nd set of tires i had for this car with the same problem. The car only has 52000 miles now.

The contact owns a 2000 chevrolet monte carlo. The contact was driving 70 mph when the front passenger side tire exploded.the contact was able to maneuver the vehicle to the side of the road without a crash and stated that there was no indication of any road debris that could have possibly contributed to the failure. A few months later while driving approximately 55 mph, the front driver side tires experienced tread separation. The rear driver side tire also experienced the same failure. The manufacturer advised the contact to ship the defective tires for further inspection. The vin was not available. The failure mileage was 96,500.

I purchased new tires and rims in 05/2006. These tires and rims are only used from may through october. On september 26, 2009 i had a tire lose air on the interstate. I pulled over as rapidly as possible. Upon examination i found the valve stem to be cause of the tire failure, uponfurther examination i found the other wheels had valve stems that were cracking in the same manner as the valve stem that failed. I had the valve stems replacedin the three tires that didn't fail but was unable to on the tire that went flat because of sidewall damage to that tire. At this time i found out there had been a recall on valve stems. After further investigation i found outmy valve stems are not part of the recall. The recall involves valve stems manufacturedfor dill or tech international between 07/2006 and 11/ 2006. The valve stems i have are tr 413 manufactured by argowinsoonshanghai. I have two of the valve stems and the damaged tire.

Tire valve stems cracked and caused tire to go flat. "town fair tire" the installer claims the stems they used were not involved in tech int'l recall. The sidewall of tire was destroyed.two other stems on vehicle (3 of 4) were similarly affected. All valve stems were replaced along with two tires as set had wear.

Another concern of mine is how many unsuspecting consumers are driving around on expired tires they in good faith bought from simpletire @ ebay?

I have purchased a set of 4 hankook optima 727 all season tires on 12/08/09. These are rated for 100,000 miles and i have done about 15,000 miles. Until recently i considered them excellent but in november and most recently i have found them skidding on wet surfaces at relatively low speeds 25-35 mph. On a patch of ice there was skidding at around 10 mph. I did hit the curb. The road grip seems worse than other all season tires i have used. The tires have been inspected and the pressure tested. There has been no blowout, puncture or shredding, but your site allows no "other" category.

The tires haveworn to the steelon the inside edge only, no shimmy nor shake, that would make me think its analignment problem. Three of four hankook optimo tires on my 2007 ford focus deflated completely over the course of a month.broken valve stems were the cause in each case.i had the valve stem replaced on the three failed tires as well as the fourth; no use in waiting for that one to fail too.

I bought a new ford f 150 4x4 pickup 5/1/08 and have had 2 tires blow out. 1 turning around in a forest service camp ground and 1 on the freeway at 75 mph.these tires have not been abused or mistreated in any way. The worst use they have seen is 20 miles at 35 mph on an improved county gravel road..i feel ford motor company made an error putting passenger rated tires on a light truck. Especially a four wheel drive.out of safety concern, and just plain got tired of buying replacements, i've had to replace all 5 tires with lt tires rated for pickup use at a cost of $800.i would like to see some help in recovering my costs to get a tire i feel should have been on this vehicle in the first place. These tires are hankook p235 75 r17.

I purchased my vehicle used with 36,000 miles april 2007.in august 2007 my vehicle began to pull drastically to the right all the time.i had to hold the steering wheel with a tug to the left to keep on the road.if the wheel was let go i would crash instantly.manufacture shop said the front tires worn at an angle which promoted the pull to the right.i replaced the tires and now have a slight pull to the left but not as bad.the manufacturer shop state no front end suspension problems noted.all tires are properly inflated to 40 - 44 psi.two tires on the rearand a brake job were done by the dealership that i purchased my vehicle from.

On a trip to st. Charles, mo on 28 mar 2013, after we parked, my son noticed severe sidewall breaks on the left front tire. He said it looked like the tire was about to blow. I thought that he was joking, but looked any way. Wow. I have never seen such severe condition on any tire, nor had i ever even heard of such a condition . There were numerous short breaks and long breaks inches long all around the outside of the sidewall. The breaks went all the way in with metal belts showing. We had just finished driving 200 miles on the interstate to get to st charles. I honestly don't know how we made it without a blowout and crash. I went immediately, and slowly, to the nearest tire dealer and purchased two new tires. I asked them to save the other tire so i might use as a possible spare since the tires had plenty of tread left.they put the "good" tire in the trunk for me. I later looked at the "good" tire and found that the inside sidewall was even worse than the "bad" tire! i feel very fortunate that these oe tires didn't cause a terrible accident. The other oe tires look ok but i will be replacing quickly. These tires are hankook optimo h725a tires.

I bought a 2010 hyundai sonata with 10k miles on it the end of march 2011. The tires on the vehicle were hankook optimo h 426. Neither the hyundai dealership nor hankook tires would take responsibility for this defect in the tires.

I took a picture of the blewout tire, and i still have the tire, and i suspect it was the case of a manufacture defect based on the clean tears on the side wall of the tire.

3 years ago i purchased 225/75 r15 from les schwab tires . The tires are rotting and cracking in the sidewall. Have been like this for about 1 year. I drive the car everyday and cannot see a reason for this to be happening. They are hankook tires.

I haven't had an incident yet. All 4 of my tires are cracked in the same area around the tire. Leading me to believe it is a manufactures defect.

Hankook tires 20,000 miles. Car shakes, tires choppy and very loud on highway. Dealer has rotated every 3,000 miles and 2011 ford focus se is aligned properly. Worse tires in the world and no satisification from dealer, the ford co. Or tire company. They are waiting for injuries just like when they put firestorm tires on tree vehicles.

All 4 hankook optimo 225/45/18 tires that came with my 2012 kia optima sx vehicle developed a bubble in the sidewall within 18 months.due to safety concerns and advice from the dealership all 4 tires were replaced around the 2 year point from purchase of the vehicle.

I was driving my 2008 pontiac g6, at approximately 40 mph, northbound on ward drive, in the goleta, california, area.with no warning of any kind (i.e. Loud pop, pull, or car movement), the tire pressure sensor indicated to check tire pressure.the tire pressure monitor indicated 15 psi in the left front tire.i pulled off the roadway, while monitoringthe pressure monitor, and the tire was quickly leaking air until the tire was fully deflated.i did not run into, or over, any debris, curb or other obstacle.the left front tire split on the inside face of the tire (facing the car), right where the sidewall meets the tread and starts to curve around.the split started about 2/3 of the way from the rim, and continued radiating outward toward tread (as opposed to along the sidewall, parallel to tread) about an inch to an inch and a half long.it is a jagged split.there was not any puncture, penetration, or cut in evidence.i am being told that i need to buy a new tire, and if the manufacturer determines the tire failed, then the tire manufacturer will determine any amount of refund, if any.based on the location of the split in the tire sidewall, and the lack of any external influencing event(s) prior to the failure, i believe this tire failed without explanation.as all four tires are of the same production lot (based on the dot #), i believe all four tires should be examined and fully tested to determine if the remaining three tires are prone to failure as well.as this event occurred at relatively slow speeds, i feel quite lucky that nothing serious happened.if this had occurred two minutes later, i would have been on the freeway, at freeway speed, and could have experienced a serious accident and injuries.these tires (hankook, optimo h725a tires) need to be checked on!

It all began when i went to walmart to get some tires on my 2002 oldsmobile bravada all-wheel drive...well i didn't have enough money for all 4 tires,so i asked them if i could put tires on it? and they said yes..so that is what we did..well 1 month after i had those 2 tires put on the front, the front end of the truck started making noise and was hard to turn...i took it to my mechanic and he said walmart should have never put just 2 tires on the truck..cause all 4 tires have to be the same or it will mess the 4 wheel drive up..well it messed the front differential up on my truck..i told walmart about it and they paid to fix my truck and paid for 2 more tires for the truck making all the tires the same...well its not been a year and its starting to do the same thing again!!!! so i don't know if this is a big problem on these all wheel drive vehicles but it has been for me!! now i sit here with a wife and three kids with no vehicle!!!!

We bought a 2010 chevrolet malibu. The salesman said to inflate the tire to 35 lbs. One tire (hankook) lost air frequently. I went to fill the tire and the tire had written inflate to 42 lbs. The information on the door said to inflate to 32 lbs. The tire took about 38 lbs. Before my tire pump wouldn't fill it any more. I called gm and complained. After several phone calls the person i spoke to said to inflate to what was written in the owner's manual. The owner's manual said to follow the directions on the tire. What should i do? if i over inflate, the tires may blow out or may blow up (while inflating). If i underinflate the tires may also blow out and will give poor gas mileage. Gm was no help at all. This is a major safety problem.
