In june of 1996, 1 new tire blew out, and i was lucky to get a replacement and goodyear reinbursed me for the cost of a new tire. Eventually, my tires started wearing oddly, and after getting a whole new set, my sway bar link broke. I had the sway bar replaced, but my new tires are also wearing very oddly. I have had several front end alignments, tire balance and frequent rotations. No one is sure why my tires are wearing as they are, on the inside only. The tread is very thin, and i think i will need a third set of tires on this truck. I wonder if the sway bar is part of the problem. It seems like everything big and expensive went out on this car as soon as it hit just over 100k miles. Of course my transimission, and catalytic converter problems were not covered under warranty, even though both were very close. I plan to take the car to ford to discuss the tire problem, i hope someone can explain why i am going through so many sets of tire. I have never had an accident in this vehicle, and have maintined it carefully. Could the sway bar be a problem? (tiresize: lt23s/75r1)( dot number:tire size: lt23s/75r1 )

When i pushased my 1999 dodge durango the brakes was nosiy...took it back to the dealer.they charged me $90.00 to do a brake service.after the brakes was used a couple of times they started making nosie again...took it back and dealer stated that it was the pads and they could not do anything about it. Well after that i was fed up with them and took it to a goodyear shop where they replaced the brakes.(stopped the nosie) and also found out the upper ball joints was bad along with the shocks...so they was replaced costing me $1,300.00. So much for the extended warenties that i purchased with the vehicle..the dealer also charged me for fliud after two sensors went out that was located inside the transmission..wich the warenty was to cover the drive train..this vehicle is a 1999 dodge durango 4x4....new tires had to be purchased because of ball joints was bad causeing tires to wear wrong

Dt:the contact states that the windshield wiper motor on his vehicle was supposed to be covered under warranty.the manufacturer explained that the wipers would not be replaced until they failed.the windshield wiper motor would work intermittently. The problem with the motor was that it burnt like a mother board for the motor and it burnt all the copper tips and the plastic off of the wiring. Also the seat belts would lock and then whiledriving the seat belt will come unlocked. The seat belts failed intermittently also. The contact owns a 1997 chevy cheyenne. The contact has had three sets of brakes and there is only like 67843 miles on the vehicle.several components relating to the brake system were replaced.the original equipment tires (goodyear wrangler rts)were the wrong size and had to be replaced.

When driving my ford f-25045 mph and over and hitting any kind of bump the front end shakes severely. The brakes when applied will stop the shaking. The damper was replaced but it did not help. If the bump and the speed was great enough it would cause you to crash. The truck has 38,000 mi. And the dealer tells me there is no recall and it is not under warranty. I plan on taking it to an independent front end specialist to diagnose the problem.

I own a 2004 ford sport trac xlt with goodyear wrangler rt/s tires (m+s p255/70r16).i have the tires rotated every 3 to 5 thousand miles.problem is the tires keep cupping out, which creates a less safe driving environment and causes excessive road noise.i've been told by the local tire store that this is a systemic problem with the vehicle and buying new tires will not correct it.how should i proceed to have this issue corrected?note, the wheels are within alignment specifications.please advise...thanks.

I was returning from kansas city,mo. To woodbridge, va., traveling on i-70e at the 51 mm in indiana. My vehicle was set on cruise just under 70 mph. (69 mph approx.) suddenly i felt a vibration and sound that resembled driving over rumble strips! there also was immediate vibration in the steering, though no loss of control. I was driving in the slow lane (#2), so i gently applied brakes and moved to the shoulder of the road and stopped. My passenger side front tire had completely come apart. The tread had separated from the casing, and the sidewall was chewed up, exposing the white plys underneath! when the tire was removed and inspected at the garage that towed me, a tear, that went from the rim straight out to where the casing meets the tread was found. There were no foreign objects or bubbles in the tire, nor had i run over anything, and there was no damage to the rim. The tire had about 90% tread on it .this vehicle had just received a maintenance check and servicing at a ford dealership in pittsburgh, penna. On 10aug02. This was a "multi point insp."(including tire rotation)i was told that "all tires, brakes, etc. Were in very good condition, requiring no maintenence beyond fluid and filter changes that were being done at that time. Basically, i don't know what caused the tire to throw the tread, (separate). I do know that the vehicle was checked by the manufacturer's dealership, and based on the information that i have supplied, and the recent problems with firestone, and now continenetal tires, my wife, who was with me, as well as myself are extremely concerned about our safety when traveling at highway speeds, as we often make out of state trips. I will be taking the tire to my local dealership tomorrow 8/26/02, for their evaluation.

The 1999 dodge durango was purchased from south oak dodge in south holland, ill. It was purchased as a demo with a few thousand miles on it. Since that time i have returned to the dealer on several different occasions for an oil change and filter and to report squeaking in the left front tire. I was told that it just needed lubrication. Each time after changing my oil they would lubricate the wheels. I also explained that the noise was worse when i turned the corner and if i had to use the four wheel drive it was difficult to turn. I also explained that the tires were worn on the inside and on occasion it looked like the left front tire was going to fall off. My complaint was dismissed when the service manager said "oh that's not going to happen " shortly thereafter he said the tire had a slow leak and that he would put a plug in it. My complaints were often dismissed. My car only has 57,000 miles on it. This morning i heard the news regarding the ball bearings on the dodge durango. In addition to the above this particular carrier will provide a temporary solution to a problem until your warranty expires. When you return you are charged s maximum amount to correct a problem that occurred while the car was under warrenty. This happened to my boyfriend who has a 1998 one ton pickup quad seats four door dodge 24 valve turbo engine 3800 dooley. The red engine light kept coming on. We took it in to have the problem fixed. The next day we were told that there was no major problem. Not more than 3 blocks away the lightt came on again. We returned to the service departmennt. The manager stated "oh i'ts probably just a sensor problem". If you continue to have problems bring it back in.the red light continued to stay on. Three months later the truck began to run poorly. We took it back to the dealer. The service departmennt stated that he need a valve job that would cost $1,800.00. Further the extended warrenty had just expired.

At 11,500 miles tires causing vehicle to vibrate while driving, a 1998, dodge ram ,2500, original equipment, tire size p245/75r16, dot# unavailable.tires were balanced on three occasions by three separate independent repair shops.also, rotated and balanced by a goodyear tire center, but problem was still occurring. Sb on i-24 n. Of chatanooga, left rear tire "blew."exam showed tread had separated from outside tire wall.outside tire wall had a dozen or more slices like a sliced pie. Tire not unusually hot; load not unusually heavy (only driver was in car); tire pressure was normal (33psi).need to know how to prevent other 4 tires from doing the same thing! (tiresize: p265/70r16)

After 15,000 miles and more than 50% tread remaining, there is zero wet traction on these tires. It seems that the traction grade on this tire is either wrong, or there needs to be a change in the system to evaluate and publish how the tires will grade after some wear and not brand new.*la

Original equipment on a 2000, jimmy, 235/75r15 size .there is a blister in one tire onsidewall, and a slit in one tire on sidewall.goodyear has inspected the vehicle.

Went to buy tires and 03/06/2008- had a flat with the side wall popping out they did not have a warranty in place only for 7 days that was 4 tires every since i had the flat i've been losing air in the other three not slow leak pretty reply . Tires brand was 235/75r 15 good year wrangler rt/s.

I have a 2003 dodge durango.in dec. 2006 the original tires walls started to separate from the tread to the point that it was a complete ring around the tire showing the treads.i had to pay the difference of tread wear to replace the tires after arguing with a goodyear dealer.on aug. 3 2007, i was riding on 495 doing the 65 mile speed limit when the tire started to bubble, smoke and then proceed to shred.i took the vehicle to a goodyear dealer who started to refuse to replace the tire at their cost because he said the replacement tire was replaced with the same recalled/defective tire.i now have 5 tires that are starting to have little blisters all over the wall of the tires.i am in no position to pay to replace these tires with another kind or brand.i want these tires replaced with something that is not going to kill us one day.or give me the money to buy a different brand.

Vehicle experienced a blewout while traveling at 74 mph on a 2001 ford f150 (original equipment; dot# unavailable; p265/70r17); dealer notified. Please provide any further details:

Original tires on ford, f150, 2001; tireson vehicleare not strong enough forvehicle, they are splitting, and have bubbles. Consumer states this is a 4x4 with towing springs and shocks, the truck is too heavy and the suspension too ridged to take the potholes without damaging the inside of the tire, consumer also states it is very difficult to know when the inner wall is split, the tire has to be closely inspected to see bulges, the inner ply splits leaving only one ply to hold air.

I am reporting this problem on my fathers vehicle.i just learned of this issue from him, he is a 64yo man with a 8th grade education and i feel he has been taken advantage of.i am an engineer with a background as well in law.i talked with him on sunday and this is the issue he has with his new dodge ram 1500 quadcab.the vehicle he found shook at speeds over 40 mph, only slightly.this worried him however and he had a friend at a tire dealership inspect the tires. It was then noticed that the goodyear wrangler tires he requested were not in fact lt or light truck tires but p, passenger car rated tires.they are 4 ply instead of the 6 ply as found in the lt modesl, (such as i have on my jeep wrangler).these tires bulge and in my opinion are deforming under the load of a heavier vehicle.resulting in the vibrations at higher speeds.also, since the tires aparently have issues just helping the truck maintain traction, if a load were to be added upwards of the gvwr then my likely conclusion would be that the tires could have a higher likelyhood of failure.this is a serious concern and an issue that needs to be addressed.it is puttingthe lives of everyone on the road at risk.and dodge is not the only ones who do this, chevy and ford dealers my father also noticed to have done the same thing of putting on car tires on the trucks.the issue is of coruse cost here, the tires on my fathers truck were 70 dollars a piece, while the replacement truck tires my father put on were 125.my father traded in the tires but he does have a signed receipt from the tire dealer stating the issue of the tires, all their specs and why he suggested replacement.i know most people do not work their trucks hard, or use them near their gvwr but a truck should be able to perform up to its specs without serious safety concerns.i would like to see this investigated and for all owners to be given new tires or reimbursed for their costs. Please contact me as to your plans.

Purchased 4 new tires approximately june 2006 from ntb.one year later had blow-out and purchased new tire.shortly thereafter had 3 flat tires and ntb said that the valve stems were defective and replaced.i believe that the blow-out that i had was a result of a defective valve stem, but there was no way to prove.

On friday, october 22, 2004, i was driving on the taconic state parkway by pudding street in new york, my driver's side front tire exploded out of nowhere.there was no absolutely no hazards on the roadway and it was a smooth road surface.all my goodyear wrangler rts tires were not more than one month old.goodyear and sears will not honor the warranty saying that i went over something on the road which is absolutely false.sears found a crack in the tread, buts says it is not covered under the goodyear warranty.these tires are dangerous for the coonsumer.

Consumer got a new set of tires in replacement of firestone recalled tires.there was severe vibration coming from tires.also, beltswere crooked, and tires wobbled. Contacted dealer, and dealer kept replacing tireswhich didn't solve the problem. Tire size 26570r17.

2 blowouts different days - one passenger rear, one driver rear; both on freeway. (dot number: 105s m+stiresize: p235/75r15)

Sidewalls of two tires separated, one at three places and one at one place. One tire cracked along the bead. One tire was replaced and prorated under warranty.

Tires have split in numerous areas on all 4 tires. Tires leak, needing air about once a week. Tired have developed bubbles or creatures in between the tread. Tires only have about 8,000 miles on them and tread looks almost new still. When area of leak was attempted to be plugged second later a new leak appears.

Left rear tire blew out while driving.

I purchased a used 2001 dodge durango with goodyear wrangler rts p265/70r16 tires, the suv had approx. 42,000 miles .shortly after purchase, one front tire began to lose air and wobble.after inspection by the dealer who sold me the car, i was told that it appeared the belt was broken and the full-size spare was used to replace the tire.this second tire seems to be "doing" the same thing.in addition, i now have a rear tire that has a "flat spot" and cooresponding sidewall bulge on it.the car (and i presume, orginal manufacturer equipment tires) have approx. 50,000 miles on them.i wrote to goodyear, via website, about this condition, but no one has responded.

While driving over 70 mph vehicle vibrated uncontrollably.driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and drove it to the dealer for inspection. Mechanic detrermined that the driveshaft needed to be replaced. The consumer stated that the tires where cuppingand had to be replaced.the consumer stated that he had to drive the unsafe vehicle for 2 and a half years limited to no high speed traveling.the consumer stated that he would like a refund.the tailgate keeps locking and the rear door can not be opened from inside.the right frontwindow rattles whien it is all the way up.*tc

I purchased 4 goodyear wrangler rt/s tires from discount tire co. On 1/17/2005the truck began to shake and vibrate while driving at highway speed.i returned thetruck to discount they rebalanced and rotated the tires and informed me if the truck continued to vibrate to take it to the dealership because it must be mechanical.i returned it to the dealership, they aligned, and roadforce balanced the tires.they found that their was a defect in the tires because too much weight was needed tobalance the tires.they recommended that the tires be replaced.i returned the truck to discount tire co.they again did not find a defect in the tire.i then took it to a third party big o tire co.they inspected the tires and found a "hop" in the rear tires.it was again recommended to replace the defected tires.

My wife was driving back to work at lunch, clear day, unlimited visibility, clear road conditions, when the driver side rear tire sidewall blew out.fortunately, no one was hurt.the tire was put on the vechicle by the ford dealership during the firestone recall.a passerby helped my wife change the tire.this is a goodyear wrangler rts,p235/75/15.

The vehicle started veering to the left even with the steering pointed straight ahead, gently turned the steering to the right to counteract, however this had no affect.( dot number:)

All four tires developed a crack on thesidewall that ranged from 11/2 to 6 inches long. All the tires were replaced with a different model tires.

My daughter was driving my 2002 ford ranger on the freeway. It was rush hour traffic, clear skies, sun out and no rain. She felt the truck violently veered to the right, and thought the passenger side front tire had a blown out.but the truck was thrown into the guard rail, a witness behind her said the wheel flew off the truck, then it went airborne and flew back to the left over three lanes of traffic.fortunately, my daughter had only mild injuries and was transported to the e.r. Via ambulance. In addition, there were no other vehicles involved with the truck or the flying wheel. When i saw the car at the wrecker yard, i noted the whole wheel and part of the axle were missing. My daughter's boyfriend found the tire on the side of the road with the axle and part of the brake components still attached. Has there been any other reports of a wheel breaking off of a ford ranger? in retrospect, this truck has only 6000 miles and there has been two blown outs on the driver's side rear tire in which i had to replace the tire within the past two months.the tires are goodyear.could this be related as well or is it a difference problem?*la

Dt: consumer has not had a failure, but there was a pronouced whopping noise"at low speeds. The left front tire was making the noise. There was no evidence of tread separation or extensive wear.

Driving on an interstate highway in louisiana, driving about 55 mph, changed lanes and had blowout on the driver rear tire.i was driving a ford explorer.the blowout looked to have been caused on the sidewall, at a point where the sidewall meets the steel belts on the driving surface of the tire.there are no obvious road damage to the tire.the local goodyear rep said that they have no recall on the tire and they have never seen this damage before and would not warranty the tire. The original tires were firestone, but were changed out by the ford company to goodyear because of the firestone recall.the tires had about 29,000 miles on them and the air pressure was checked 2 days before during an oil change.the tire is goodyear, wrangler rt/sm+s p235/75r15ser# 274220-grf-70mmwvs it also has the numbers e130293095 stamped on them.

Hello,i was involved in an auto accident over this weekend due to a defective tire. The tire blew for no apparent reason causing me to lose control of the vehicle and smashing into a cement concrete divider. The tire is a goodyear wrangler rt/s. I did some research on the internet and found many many many others with the same tires have had the same or similar issues with the tires blowing or tread separating from the tire. Please do all you can to prevent these tires from killing anyone.thank you, truc nguyenbelow is just a few complaints i found while doing my research for your review.these tires are defective and the public should be warned!cheryl of taxarkana tx (3/10/04): my husband was driving my new car, a 2002 isuzu axiom. The tire blew from the sidewall and he lost control of the vehicle and hit the center wall under an overpass. Did about $6,000 in damage. The policeman who did the report said tire defect. The general manager from m&m goodyear said, tire defect. Several of goodyear competitors (cooper tire co.) said tire was a defect. Charles of southside al (3/8/04): bought new set of replacement goodyear wrangle rt/s tires 02/22/04. 527 miles later on 03/03/04 the right rear tire blows out causing me to leave the road with minor damage. Sears finally replaces the tire 3 days later due to not being in stock. This was last saturday. This morning another tire blows out on the front left side (now only 686 miles). This time no wreck but the rim is damaged. Bernard of north little rock ar (7/9/01): i had an incident where my tire blew out in a curve and forced me to have to drive across a median drainage ditch. I am not trying to bring on some major law suit, i just want to know who do i talk to to get my expenditure recouped with a major incident. I don't have any major injuries, and i am only looking to get my truck put back in proper working condition.

I bought a 2004 ford explorer sport trac in brunswick, ga in late sept 2006.after leaving the dealer, we noticed a bumping/vibration.took it back to the dealer 3 times, each time it did not fix the problem.we were told that it needed an alignment (did not work).then, we were told by the mechanic that the tires (goodyear wranglers) were out of round, but yet they did a force balancing instead of replacing the tires; which did not fix it and now in addition to the bumping, it is now pulling hard to the right.i am told by the dealer that this is a "truck" and there will be a little vibration and bumping.i do not believe this since i have driven trucks all of my life without this problem.i traded a 1998 explorer that did not have this problem.i have asked the dealer to replace the tires as a test to see if it is the tires.they don't want to do this because of cost issues.i asked them to let me drive one of the new 2007 sport tracs to see if they have this problem.the reply was that they have a different suspension.the vehicle is still under manufacturers warranty.i have told the dealer that if this problem can not be fixed than i don't want the vehicle.what am i to do?

Point 1. - events were un-noticed sidewall "dry-rotting" of the goodyear wrangler rt/s p235/75r15 tires for 21000 miles.....theses tires were 'original equipment' on a new2003 chevy s-10 crew cab 4wd truck. The "failed" tire was on the front, drivers side. Simple highway driving at 60 mph (rt.1 n., delaware), dry conditions, 65 - 70 degrees temperature. Tires were religiously 'rotated' at 6500 - 7500 miles.point 2. - tire lost air, eventual "flat" during 60 mph highway drive. There was not a whole lot of "pulling" involved. Attention was given to me by a "passing" driver, upon which time i pulled off to the shoulder of the highway.point 3. - changed the "failed" tire with the spare tire (same model), eventually replaced the "suspect" tire with a new same model (ergo, two new tires on the front).inspected the three other original tires and noticed "dry rot" on all tires ranging from medium 'bad' to just-as-'bad' as the failed tire. Goodyear personnel acknowledged to me that they see this 'dry-rotting' quite often on these tires.old tire is available for inspection...there is no "road hazard" involved...the 'leaks' are definitely from the "dry rotted" splits in the sidewall close to the thread. This is a very dangerous tire...i keep remembering bridgestone and ford explorer from a few years ago!!

While at home after parking my f-150 in the driveway. An hour later i went to get my kids from school. The right rear tire was flat. I went to change the tire and saw that it was cut. Took the tire off and saw that the rubber and came off from the metal that goes around the rim. Took the tire to the nearest goodyear dealer. They said that it was a bead separation and thay have never saw a tire do that before. The bad thing is that i have another tire about to do the samething. It is the spare, and i am using it.

Sidewalls of two tires separated, one at three places and one at one place. One tire cracked along the bead. One tire was replaced and prorated under warranty.

I have noticed a slow air leak on one of my tires installed on my 2001 f150 supercrew.a leak test in a tube of water found the leak was due to a small hole in the sidewall approximately 1 inch from the rim.further investigation revealed that all tires have sporadic cracking and minor bubbling on the sidewall on both sides of all tires.the tires are not old enough to be dry-rotted.all tires are goodyear wrangler rt/s p255/70r16.tires were manufactured 3/01 which coincides with the mfr date of my vehicle.the local goodyear dealer will pro-rate the cost of the remaining tread towards the purchase of a new set of tires.fortunately, i check the tires on all my vehicles at least weekly and have prevented a possible fatality before it has happened.these tire definitely appear to have a serious material defect that warrants further investigation.

Goodyear, wrangler rt/s safety defects - sidewall bulges and bumps.only 8,000-miles on the tires.the first sign that something wrong was the development of an "oscillating rotational noice" when driving.it grew louder with time.i took the vehicle to a gm dealer to check the bearings, brakes, allignment, , etc. For a porblem.none was found.then a "thumping" sound at low speeds developed.i had the auto dealer install my snow tires and all unusual sounds and "thumps" disappeared.the tire manufacturer asked me to take the tires to a local dealer for an inspection.the dealer says that sidewall bulges and bumps are normal and that goodyear will not replace the defective tires.there are only about 8,000-miles on the goodyear wrangler tires.i can only believe that there is a serious manufacturing and safety defect with tires that develop bulges, bumps, make rotational sounds and thumping noises.i think there could be a serious safety defect at hand that the manufacturer will not acknowledge and repair through tire replacement and investigation of the problem.prompt action could save lives, apparently not a top priority.

I still have 6 of the 7 factory installed tires, and witnesses who saw or examined the 7th tire (with tread seperation). I have been forced to park my dodge 3500. I intend to replace these tires with cooper discoverer s/t tires when i have funds available. Am considering legal action!!!!!!

While the vehicle was parked consumer observed all four tires showed cracks around the rim and the steel belt was also noticeable. After market equipment, installed at 20,000 miles.

While driving 30-40 mph, the rear drivers' side tire went flat. Tear apreared to bin in the inside of tire, coming from the tread down to the center of the tire, approximately 2 1/2- 3 inches long with jagged edges rather than a straight edge. Tire size p26570r17.

I currently drive a 2000 ford explorer 6 cyl. 2 wheel drive w/ goodyear wrangler rt/s tires.i was recently notified by midas of orland park after having my front brakes replaced that the front passenger tire has a belt that has shifted.my tires were replaced due to the recall of the firestone tires.at that time i had roughly 16,000 miles on the suv.at the present time i have just under 40,000 miles on the suv.i did not notice that the tire was bad mainly due to the fact that the ford explorer is a very rough ride.i do not go off roading with this vehicle nor do intentially hit large bumps or pot holes at a rapid speed.i am not only disappointed with the performance of the vehicle but also with the performance of the tires.since the explorer rides rough (a side to side wobbling motion) i can see were many accidents occured.the owner of the vehicle is unable to detect a default in the tire.the question i pose is, is ford at fault because of there inadequate engineering and unstabe suspension or is goodyear at fault for the manufacturing of faulty tires?

P255/70r16, dot unknown, original equipment on a 1998, ford expedition with 36000 miles. All 4 tires had been slowly loosing air, consumer then went to dealer to have tires inspected, and was told all 4 showed signs of tread separation.

Vehicle experienced multiply problems. Consumer noticed that while drivingvehicle vibrated uncontrollably. All tires had stress marks located in the inner side of the tires.goodyear, wrangler rts p255/70r16.also, coolant was leaking from underneath the vehicle .consumer drove vehicle to the dealer, andmechanic could not duplicate the leak.but tires were replaced due to the stress marks.

This problem first occurred at about 4600 miles. I took the tire to have it repaired at the tire shop i use.they told me it had some belt separation.i then went to the dealership where i had purchased the vehicle and was told by the service manager to take it to goodyear. I took it to goodyear and they told me that since my spare tire was already on that i should keep it on and that the tire only needed a flat repair.in september 2001 i started to notice a slight thumping noise coming from my vehicle i took it back to the dealership in october 2001 they replaced a front wheel bearing and the rear differential but still the thump. They told me it was a flat spot on the tire and that i had two bad tires and needed to go back to goodyear. The dealership told me that the other tire was bad too, not what goodyear told me approx. 8 months earlier.i am being told these tire problems are caused by my driving.i know this is not the case, i had a blazer 3 yrs prior to this one with a different brand of tires and not once did i have any problems. Dt: onjune 29, 2005 rear passenger's side tire belts separated from the tire. Then, around september 1, 2005 the driver's rear tire blew out. A goodyearrepresentativeinspected the tires and said they might be defective tires.goodyear was only offering to give a discount, and gave a percentage, but were not willing replace the other three tires. On the front tires the ring around these tires split. The recommended tire pressure was forty-four pounds, these tires were regularly serviced. There was no for warning, no vibration, and no type of abnormal bulging.

Goodyear wrangler rt/s front tires cupping badly, recommended tire rotation caused all four tires to be badly cupped resulting in serious vibration and difficulty in control on wet or icy surfaces. Internet search shows many people have the same problem. Tires were a replacement by ford of firestone tires which were oem. It seems that tire failure or accidents may well result with the cupping of goodyear tires. Ford dealer says tires are defective but the warranty has run out and ford is not responsible. Ford dealer (tasca ford cranston, ri) recommended all tires be replaced at my expense! these tires have only 14,000 miles on them!

With about 5,000 miles on the tires, tire size p26575r16,front driver's treadstarted to separate which may cause a blowout.also, all tires are out of round, andrear tires are shaved, which causes goodyear warranty to expire.goodyear is not willing to assist the consumer.please provide further information.

While traveling at 55 mph whenheard a noise. Consumer pulled vehicle over and noticed that tire had separated.p245/75r16. Please provide further information.

Totaol tread separation, number on tire are pdcuc5wr117, i have tire, rim and all paperwork related to claim with goodyear which reflects they denied claim even prior to inspection and did not provide me with inspection report (dot number: 109stiresize: p25570r16)

Two of the goodyear wrangler rt/s tires have experienced tread separation.*mjs

My 1996 dodge ram 2500 came new with 5 goodyear wrangler rt/s 245/75 r16 tires. I replaced 4 tires at 78,000 miles with 3 new rt/s tires and rotated in the original spare. I kept the best 2 tires for spares.i used an old spare for about a week and noticed some vibration. The goodyear dealer indicated the tread was separating.while on the turnpike, the tread on the right front tire separated catastrophically at 75 mph and damaged the quarter panel, wheel well, lower passenger doorframe, steering mechanism (track bar), front bumper cowling, and dented the right rear quarter panel. The tire didnt go flat, but threw off all the tread. Fortunately, i retained control of the vehicle and no one was injured. The tire that separated was the original equipment spare, manufactured in 1996. This tire failed at about 30,000 miles.i brought the failed tire to the local goodyear dealership, perry tire and alignment in stillwater, where the owner forced me to send it to goodyear for analysis. As the tire was over 4 years old, he claimed goodyear would not warrantee the tire, but might make some adjustment. I stupidly did this, acting in good faith and trusting the integrity of both companies. Its one year later, and guess what: i have received no notification from either company, perry tire has changed ownership, and goodyear has "lost" my tire. By the way, goodyear's representative said they never deal directly with the customer - dealers do that, then goodyear deals with them.at about 55,000 miles, one of the newer tires had tread separation; another has worn unevenly to show the belt. Both were detected before failure on the road.the bottom line: 3 of 8 of my goodyear wrangler rt/s tires failed due to tread separation, one providing significant risk to my family and others. I am without the tire that disintegrated, and am considering seeking legal action. I understand tires wear out, but they should not fail in this manner even if worn down to the belts.

For about 1-2 months we heard a wobbling sound particularly when driving at slow speeds.when the vehicle was brought to the dealer (capitol ford) they stated that the tread had separated from the rest of the tire and that we should have it replaced.we have since replaced the tires, but we still have the original, same model spare. (tiresize: p235/75r15)( dot number:tire size: p235/75r15 )

The tire tread has come apart.*jg

I had a goodyear wranglet tire failure at highway speed.without notice the tread separated from the sidewall causing an out of control condition. Luckily, i was able to get the 2002 dodge durango stopped safely. I was shocked to see the tread totally separate from the sidewall (3 total pcs 1 ea sidewalls and 1 tread). I went to goodyear they said i picked up a nail or something causing a flat. I'm sorry but i have had flats in the past. When you pick up something and get a flat you loose air pressure and are able to slow down and fix tire, not explode.i filed a complaint with the ohio atty. General who passed it to the better business bureau. Theysaidthey are just a middle man without power to resolve.at this point i want to file a complaint against goodyear tire. I would like 4 different tires i would also be willing to pay for used portion of tires ( just what is used not 75% goodyear std). When the tire exploded it also caused some minor damage i would like fixed.i do have the tire in my possession and i am able to supply anything you might need. I.e. Tire, pictures. *la

On june 7th, one of the goodyear wrangler rt/s tires on my truck failed at highway speeds on i-77.this is the second tire that has failed while driving on the highway. The first september 2002. It appears that one of the belts separated from the inside of the tire. Goodyear replaced the first tire at no charge, but i am going to have them removed and replaced with another brand. There were no punctures or evidence of pressure loss noted on either tire. Goodyear claims the damage was resultant of tire pressure loss. This tire was the replacement tire for the one that failed last year. The mileage on the first one was about 7000 miles and this one was about 5500.

The right rear tire had a blowout while driving 70 mph ( original equipment, tire size p265/70r16, dot# 25.4 0ffset)
