Found a flat tire this morning and noticedthat the flat was due to the tire wall separating from the rest of the tire my suv only has 30,000 miles on it and all 4 of the tires are doing this on an even seam around the entire tire. The tires were manufactured in 2002. The tires are practically new due to the about of tread left on them. I feel this causes a serious safety issue as the tires could fail at any moment.

The contact owns a 2001 ford explorer with goodyearwrangler rt/s tires, size p255/70r16. The contact noticed the rear passengers tire was flat and the remaining three tires exhibited signs of dry rotting. The vehicle was towed to a local tire shop. The mechanic advised they would take partial liability for three of the four tires and the fourth would be replaced at the owners expense. The contact believed the tire manufacturer should take the liability for all four tires. The dot number was unknown. The tire failure mileages was 32,985. The vehicle failure and current mileages were 112,461.

The left rear original goodyear wrangler rt/s p265/70r16 tire on my 2002 dodge dakota 4wd pick-up truck has belt separation.the truck has only 17,685 miles on it.the truck is used throughout the year primarily as a spare vehicle when the car is being used.i was unable to locate the dot number.

On a 1998 dodge ram 2500 three of the five stock goodyear wrangler rt/s 245/75 r16 tires have been voluntarily replaced by the manufacturer for sidewall separation. The fourth tire blew one week ago while towing a light boat (2000lbs) at approximately 65mph. I was able to maintain control, but i had my wife and two children aboard and am upset that the same problem has occurred repeatedly due to an admitted manufacturer error. The tires have less than 45,000 miles on them and the replacements are showing minute signs of sidewall separation with less than 10,000 miles. To replace these tires would cost approximately $800, $1000 with the spare. I feel endangered by the reputation of the tires and truly feel that the product that i have paid for has fallen woefully short of expectation, while operated under very light workloads and very low mileage. I feel it is the responsibility for goodyear to provide a safe and quality product that meets the demands of a load range e tire.

Sidewalls of two tires popped within two weeks of one another the durango was parked both times.

The contact owns a 2005 chevrolet colorado.the vehicle has goodyear wrangler rt/s tires, size p26570r16.while driving 45 mph, the front driver side tire exploded.the contact did not notice any differences in the vehicle prior to the failure.she examined the tires and noticed that the manufactured date for each one was five years prior to their purchase date.the tires were intended to be new.the tires have not been diagnosed by the dealer.the current and failure mileages were 55,763. 1999 chevrolet tahoe.the vehicle was taken to a gm dealer to have the tires rotated and balanced. One of the tires goodyear rt/sp265/75r16114s owl serial mk73d5hr0108 had tread separation at the top of sidewall. I received $75 credit from goodyear due to mileage. The tire had 34,000 miles on it. The tire was replaced with goodyear sra. The tire was purchased 04/05/2008 in illinois. This tire was purchased as a set of two. The second tire is starting to exhibit the same characteristics.

In late february 2009 i had a slipped belt on one of my goodyear wrangler rt/s tires on my 2003 dodge dakota.this was particularly annoying especially since the tires only had 33k miles on them.the spare had never been used so we put the spare tire on.that was find for a few weeks but then the other tires started slipping belts.after the initial tire i contacted goodyear to inform them what had happened to their goodyear wrangler rt/s tire and they indicated that sullivan tire in stratham new hampsire could review the situation for them since they were a trusted dealership.today i brought the car back to sullivan tire and they told me that the belts on the other tires had slipped and were actually dangerous and i should be careful about driving on them.as a result i had them replace the tires and was so mad about this that i had them put dunlop tires instead of goodyear on them.i realize that these were the original tires on my 2003 truck ( sullivan tire indicatedthat the serial numbers indicated this) but the tires had in excess of 50% treadware on them.sullivan tire told me that because the tires were about 7 years old that goodyear would no do anything.after leaving i checked the tire warranty document that came with the car and there was no indication that there was any time limit on the warranty - only treadwear.i am out $587 and should have not been.i feel that these tires were defective and something should have been done because of this.please let me know ifthere had been any other complaints about this sort of thing.i have never had anything like this happen to me.i am 62 and have been driving since i was 16 and am very familiar with cars since my dad was a mechanic.

I bought a new 2006 ford ranger sports truck from akins ford in april 2006.the truck had goodyear wrangler tires on the truck when i bought it.i rotated the truck several times since owning the truck and have even had a flat tire.the tire was replace, repaired and then put back on the truck.i was preparing for a highway trip to new orleans, so i was having the tires rotated when i discovered that all 4 four of the tires were dryrotting.each tire had evidence of the dryrotting on the inside (the opposite side from the raised white lettering) of the tire.i contacted goodyear customer service and referred to a local goodyear dealer.the examined the tires and estimated that i had 50% wear left on the tires.my truck has 74,000+ miles on the original tires.goodyear was only willing to prorate the remaining wear for the cost of new set of goodyear.i did not want another set of goodyear since the problem was new tires that were dryrotted and surely had not planned to purchase a new set of tires at this time.my greatest concern was my safety and the safety of others while i was driving.

Goodyear wrangler tires, all (including) spare with approximately 54000 miles are all cracking on the center of the outside wall. Trying to see if there is a safety notice or recall regarding these tires. One tire has a bubble on the side that is about the size of a baseball from the rim to the tread. The tires are the ones on a new purchase of an h3 hummer (2007). Please let me know if there are any issues reported safety or recall similar to this.

One of four original tires that came with my 2004 ford ranger edge truck with 4.0l engine failed and was replaced. The tire was goodyear wrangler rts (235/75 x 15) with only 22,852 miles on it. The tire sidewall exhibited crack lines all along the upper part of the sidewall and i took it to the tire shop for repairs the tire started bulging out along one section of the cracks and their was massive leak of air. I was concerned that other three tires would eventually blow out so i replaced all four tires with a brand new ones.

The contact owns a 2003 dodge durango.the vehicle has goodyear wrangler rtf, size p26570r16 tires.during a routine inspection, the contact noticed that the air pressure was extremely low at 32 psi.she also noticed dark circles around the tires where the tread was separating and the sidewall was splitting.she had the tires inspected and was informed that because the tires were four years old, the tread life expired and the tires would not perform properly.the current and failure mileages were 63,000.
