Vehicle running on highway at 60 mph and steering began to wobble.checked front passenger side tires .. Noted a single bulge in the middle of tire treads.2010 chevrolet silverado 1500 equipped with goodyear wrangler tires at/s size p265/70r17 tires.estimated tire to be slightly over a year old with approx 25,000 miles on it. Still plenty of thread on it.bought truck to goodyear auto service center to have tire inspected.technician visually inspected tire at parking lot and claimed that fault was likely caused by tire hitting a pothole or curb.technician refuse to provide any form of warranty for tire.a bulge in the middle of the tire thread isn't good.never seen a tire bulging like this before. Looks like a manufacturing defect.will bring it to another tire shop to have it replaced. It will not be another goodyear tire.

This report is regarding the failure of a goodyear wrangler ats tire, load range d, size 305/70r16.for several months the vehicle has had a mild to moderate tire shake or in-balance.a goodyear dealer re-balanced the tires, but there was no change in the shake. We returned the vehicle to the same dealer who then stated the tires were out of round and couldn't be balanced.they did not advise us to replace the tires or to stop using the vehicle.two months later, after an hour at highway speed, the tire suddenly delaminated.the vehicle sustained over $3,000 in damage from the tire explosion.control was not lost.looking at the tire, it's very obvious this was the result of a manufacturing defect.half of the steel belts are covered with a layer of bonded rubber.the other half of the belts are exposed.the separating line is right down the center of the tire.the small portion of tread that remains is separated from the belts, but is still bonded on the other side. It appears two strips of rubber were placed laterally on the face of the tire and one of them did not bond properly.i don't see any signs of patches.although now rusted, the steel belts were bright when the tire first separated.

Brand new 3 month old goodyear p26570r17 g/y wrangle at/s owltire exploded while driving and flattened within a matter of minutes. The belts were on fire inside, and the tire was bubbling and bursting ofrom the inside out...when police came after calling for fear of a fire, they said tire was on fire from the inside and was not drivable...waited 1 hour for tire to cool down before road service could begin to change tire...reported to goodyear and the tire place where we purchased would not give a new tire..made us purchase a new tire at 50% off when the tire was only 3 months old....complained to goodyar customers service and he didn't care or want to help us.. Sided with dealership...someone should investigate the tires...never had a defective tire..according to dealership this was a punctured fast leak which caused the tire to explode and burn..this would not have happened with slow leak...but then why was it on fire inside of tire bulging out big round hot bubbles around rim, and the road service wouldn't touch for an hour?????

Inside of tire is separating. Large bubble , 4" x 6" in size. No other leaks or punctures or patches/plugs in tire. Causes extreme vibrations. Had to remove and replace all four tires for safety reasons.265 70r17wrangler at/s
