I got two tires from wal mart on 1/28/2008. Couple of months later, i found a tire has bump on sidewall. I let walmart inspect it. They said it should be ok. While our family (my wife, 5years and 6 months boy's and me) are on vacation driving from austin tx to yellowstone wyoming, we stayed over a night in fort collins and my wife drove in the morning on 8/11/2009 to yellowstone. Just passed exit 54 and curved road on hw25 nb, the car was lost its balance and shaken alot with bad small. My wife was so embarrassedand pulled out the car on the side road. If there was any car beside or behind us, we would be in very dangerous situation. I checked the tire and sidewall was blown out which previously has a bump. I called towing company for replacing it with spare one and reported this issue to "good year" (claim # - 1061512). On 8/18, i went walmart where i purchased them and they replaced it with new one. I asked i want tokeep incident tire with me but they have to return it because of warranty replacement.

I bought a set of goodyear viva 2 tires at walmart. I have less than 30k miles on them. I notice they seem to always be out of balance, even when i carry my vehicle in to have the tires rotated and balanced. The other day, i had taken my vehicle in and the tech looked at one of my tires and noticed a buldge on the side of one of my tires and made a comment about the belts seperating and being ready for a blow-out. I ask if walmart was replacing them and he said no. After getting home i noticed two more tires with that same buldge on the side.

Set of 4 new goodyear viva 2 tires purchased from wal-mart. One tire failed due to sidewall separation at 72 mph. Was able to safely move from middle lane to right shoulder.wal-mart replaced the tire.tires have about 2,900 miles.

Anew set of goodyear viva, p195/70r14 was purchased at walmart sore 1195, waveland, ms on 5/8/08.i noticed a pronounced pull to the left and on 5/12/08 i took the car to leggett's tire & auto for alignment.after the alignment pull to the left was still present.i returned to leggett's and after checking the alignment, i was advised that the problem was not in the alignment but was due to a tire pull.i went back to walmart and after checking the balance they said there was nothing wrong with the tires. I have rotated tires about every other oil change and the pull to the left is present after every other oil change.i have had alignment done for the third time recently at a& a automotive repair in ocean springs, ms and was advised that the pull was not in the alignment but was a tire pull which would eventually lead to separation.i went to walmart store 2715 in d'iberville to express my complaint about the defect in the tires and was told they would research it. Dot codes are: right front, m6rwh6hr1408;left front, m6rwh6hr_____;left rear, m6rwh6hr1608;right rear, m6rwh6hr_____.

Good year tires p225/60r16.. Viva 2 (wal mart purchase)dot mdxo h6hr 4707tires wear on inside of all around all 4 tires.. Tires are unable to be balanced due to tread wear very uneven..have had it to several mechanics all say same thing tires are defect..the only solution purchase new ones..very unsafe for driving and may cause accident..car is very shaking unable to fix..has nothing to do with alignment of car..it is perfect..if car to be driven may blow a tire causing an accident or death..

Tires.goodyear viva 3 model, size 215/55r16 (and most other sizes).these tires go out of round at exceptionally low mileage. An common complaint at walmart (the only retailer that sells this model) is that the tires go out of round, produce unbelievable noise, and vibration in the steering column.i have experience both these effects as well, and the tires were installed on a newly (days before) aligned vehicle, and have less than 5,000 miles on them.see https://www.walmart.com/ip/goodyear-viva-3-all-season-215-55r16-93h-tire/42353801 for a litany of the essentially same complaint from hundreds of drivers on the same model of tire.these tires should not be on the road, they are not safe.tires that go out of round, at less than 5,000 miles, something is going on there.(in my case, i have only two of the tires (one axle) but one is ok (so far), and the other is clearly not.but when i went and read the reviews, i found over half the complaints were about the same problem (out of round, and massive vibration and noise).the other half of the complaints on low mileage lifespans.but the tires going out of round, and causing vibration in huge numbers of vehicles, that is something nhtsa needs to investigate.hence my complaint.i will soon be replacing these tires on my vehicle, i don't think they are safe to drive on.

I am on my third gooryear viva 2 that wobbles at 65 mph and has eventual knot or bubble and fails.

On 12/16/14 i purchased a set of 4 new 215/60r/16 95tgoodyear viva2 tires from louisville walmart supercenter 175 outer loop louisville, ky 40214 for a 2005 chevrolet malibu maxx. On 05/19/2015, with appropriately 1500 miles on the tires. While driving at 50 mph the right rear tirefailed due to sidewall separation. Due to low speed and light traffic there was no accident, at highway speed this would not have been the case. No damage to the tire other than sidewall separation was noted by walmart service technician. I was not told until later that the tire was replaced by a goodyear 215/60r/16 95t viva 3with a different treed pattern(i do not feel this is safe) due to goodyearno longer making the viva 2 due to problems with the tire.

I am an auto mechanic and later automotive engineer and i always keep my tires properly inflated with routine balancing, rotation and alignments.in over 30 years of driving i had never had a tire issue beyond the occasional flat until i bought a set of goodyear viva 2 tires from walmart on may 31, 2011. P225/60r16 97sdot mdx0 h6hp 1911 tires for my 2001 buick regal.after almost a year i noticed the car was not riding smoothly so i took it in to get the tires balanced.the tire man showed me that there was a tread issue on a tire, so on may 9, 2012 i bought a replacement viva 2 tire.the failed tire had less than a year and 17,601 miles on it.recently while driving on the freeway another of the initial viva 2 tires blew out (same dot code).this tire was about 26 months old with 31,440 miles on it.i still have this tire if you want to inspect it.

Tires from walmart store#1541, with less then 10,000, rotated & balanced,at 45-55 mph tireswobble & shake. They rebalanced them today x2 but still not correct at 50-60 mph they still wobble.i just couldn't go back a third time. The store manager just said fix them to his staff and walked away.

Purchased 4 goodyear viva 2 tires, from walmart on 10/27/2014, for the first few months they were great. After awhile i kept needing to get them rebalanced due to vibrating, they started getting louder and louder. Had to keep getting my car aligned every other month. Today on 10/22/2015, driving straight on cruise control at 70mph on interstate 376, i started hearing this awful noise, i thought it was a wheel bearing that kept going bad. Then the car wouldn't accelerate, and i started smelling burnt rubber and smoke coming out of the back. I pulled off the closet exit and into the closet parking lot, to find that the tire had blown out on the side wall. I went to the walmart that i purchased these tires from. Since i purchased road hazard they replaced the tire at a prorated rate. But they don't sell viva 2's anymore, they replaced it with a viva 3. The other 3 viva's on the car, are now wearing abnormal on the sidewall, walmart insists that i curbed them and that was the problem, when i know i never did. So they wont replace them unless something happens to them or there is a recall. I even had to call corporate to try and get the replaced and they didnt want to hear it.if it was a front tire and me going 70mph, that probably wouldn't have ended so pretty. I'm scared to drive my car with these tires on.

Since two of the four tires have now failed i will submit two complaints, one for each tire.goodyear viva 2 tires bought from walmart on may 31, 2011. Goodyear viva 2 tires from walmart have gone out-of-round repeatedly.the mechanics at another tire shop say they see this all the time with walmart goodyears.i gave up on warranty replacements, since they also fail, and i have two daughters and a wife driving these cars with failing tires.i sacrificed the warranties and put kumhos on the cars.i have 6 volvo 240s and all of them have had failures of walmart tires.goodyear, douglas and uniroyal.185 -70 - 14. In every case the tires go out-of-round and cannot be balanced.they wobble and shake, because of bubbles in the sidewalls and the tread face, or flat spots in the tread face, where the belts or bands inside the tire are separating and the tire structure itself is failing.in every case the tires are a few months old and still have the brand new mold nipples, and the tread depth is almost brand new. I have taken the cars to front end alignment shops and none of them needed suspension parts or alignment - it has been tire failure shaking the cars.i have had at least 8 of these tires fail in this manner.

The contact stated that while driving 70 mph, there was a roaring noise coming from the driver front tire. The vehicle was taken to a private mechanic. While the tires were being rotated, the technician noticed that the inside of both tires were separated. The failure mileage on the vehicle was 155,432. The failure tire mileage was 300. .... Updated 03/08/13
