I bought this van in feb of98 and had nothing but problems with the front end i had it in the shop twice and the first time it had to have new rotors and brake pads and new tires that i had to pay for.the second time they said nothing was wrong but it ate up two more tires.they said it had to be the tires. I reported this to the department of transportation safety administration and then on feb 99 the brakes went out again.i also tried to work with college ford. My husband decided to trade the van in on a toyota camery because we were not safe in the van and ford did not want to help us in any way. We paid $25000.00 for a safe vehicle but got a lemon and no help. $5500.00 out of my pocket to lease the camery and all the payments for the van just wasted.i just thank god we wern't killed.( dot number: p215 tire size: 70r15 97s )

Goodyear regatta 2 tires with 23 thousand miles are beginning to leak and splithalf way up the sidewall of both front tires from a raised area around the circumference of the inside of each tire.
Noted on mar7th by mechnic flat spot or as he put it the tire was out of round and wearing very wrong. He stated car was in good alignment. So he recommended we take it back to original deal we had put on the tires. Mar.8th taken to tire shop they rotated 3 fo the tires and left the bad one in place. Mar 21st back to ourmechanic who again checked alignment per tire shops suggestion. Our mechanic aligned car but said that wasn't the problem. So he moved the tire to the back and put on a cam bolt to help keep it riding as soothe as he could. Mar 22nd called goodyear in cinncinnati and told them of the problem, they recommended we take it back to tire shop to be looked at again.the y suggeted the tire shop check alignment again. Appt. Scheduled for mar 26th , appt cancelled due to death in family, rescheduled for mar 27th.mar.26th received a very rude phone call from cinncinatti stating they had talk it over with tire shop and were told their was nothing wrong with the tire except that our car was inpoor alignment.i don't undersstand this because nobody at the tire shop made any thought of this on our first visit to them on mar8th whenwe had already had the car checked by our mechanic on mar 7th and noted the problem to begin with. We cancelled our appt. For mar 27th in absolutedisgust and we put on many miles already running back and forth having this checked out. Our hometown mechanic still believes this is a manufactures defect and should be replaced at no cost to us. (tiresize: p205/60r16)( dot number:tire size: p205/60r16 )

I had 2 different goodyear regatta tires blow out on my car.both incidents occurred within 2 months of each other.the first occurrence was the passenger rear, which blew out while traveling aprox 60 mph.there was no warning signs and the air pressure was aprox 34psi.the second occurence was the driver front on the same car.this time my wife was driving and was traveling about 35 mph. Again air pressure was fine, ~35psi, because i had checked it a week earlier.the tread was still good on both tires and the car had recently passed a state safety inspection which includes tread wear.

In only four months, all 4 of my goodyear regatta tires with only 50,000 miles on them blew out while on the highway. (4 different incidents). The company had audacity to tell me that these were all the results of "road hazards" and that the same could happen to any tire. I have been driving for 40 years and have never had a blow out until all four of these tires blew out over a period of 4 months. Has to be the tires, not the roads.
Goodyear regatta 225/65r16 sidewall failures - four tires of this brand have failed on our 1998 olds intrigue.three are from a replacement set purchased around 2002, and one of the pro-rata warranty replacements just failed.the first three were full-on blowouts at low speeds without hitting any bumps and the most recent was multiple large bulges in the sidewall and a flat tire developed while driving at 70 mph.
Goodyear regatta 2 tires.*mrone of the tires has a concave/circular indentation of approximately 1/2-3/4 inch beginning at the tread surface and running vertically up the sidewall are 2-3 inches from the outer tread.
The tire was warped with parts of the steel belt coming out of it.the tire was also dry and cracked in several places.the tire was only driven for approximately 18,800 miles.this tire could have blown out at any time if it were not for the wabbling of the car to let me know to have it checked.no tire should be in this condition after only 18,800 miles of wear. Have a set of regatta ii, 215sr75.@25,000 - 30,000 miles on tires.experienced shimmying at low speeds and vibration at high speeds.check inflation frequently and put air in when necessary.had a passenger side rear tire blow out recently.appeared as if side walls had burst.never seen anything like it in all my life.(side note: had recently had brake pads replaced, the tire in question was on the front, mechanic discovered tire to be seriously out of balance and had difficult time trying to balance it, which is why he put it on the rear) after tire blew out the tire dealer said side walls were probably weakened by underinflation most likely caused by a slow leak.this explanation is inadequate.he replaced the tire at full price minus $11.00 and said it was not a warranty issue as the warranty only covered tread wear.after replacing the tire the vehicle (nissan quest minivan) still shimmies at low speed and vibrates at high speed. My concerns are: 1. Are the three remaining original regatta ii tires in immenent danger of exploding like the other one? 2.considering the difficulty balancing the one tire that blew, was that tire defective? 3. Could the same problem be occuring in my other 3 tires creating a serious, dangerous sitation?

I was travelling eastbound on the long island expressway approaching exit 57 when i started to hear a noise from underneath my vehicle, a 1999 plmouth grand voyager. I first thought it was the muffler and continued driving. Shortly afterwards, i noticed debris and black smoke in the right side mirror. I was now between exits 57 and 58. I pulled over to the shoulder. When i got out i examined the muffler first. It was fine. Ithen walked around to the rear right side and saw that the rear right tire was completely damaged. The tread was separated fron the rest of the tire. The tire rim was not bent probably due to the combination of when i pulled over plus the fact that the separated tread was wrapped around it. I called aaa and had the tire changed.my wife and two of my granddaughters were in the car with me. We are lucky that it was not a front tire. The tire is a goodyear regatta ii that was purchased as one of a new set of four on march 27, 2003. I have put just under 30,000 miles on them. They are waranteed for 75,000 miles.since i did purchase road hazard insurance i plan on returning the tire to where i purchased it: goodyear auto service center, 1200 route 112 , port jefferson station, 11776 and getting a replacement.
