My 2002 holiday rambler 5th wheel is equipped with goodyear wrangler ht lt225/75r/16 "e" series tires which are date stamped february 2000. These tires have less than 2000 miles travel. On august 4th 2005 on a trip from burlington n.c. About twenty miles from home traveling at 55 mph on i-85 i experienced a blow out on right rear trailer tire . We were fortunate to find an area to pull over and change tire. I replaced this tire and finished the trip. After a 300 mile trip and upon arrival home i discovered a tread buldge on right front trailer tire and removed 2nd tire which had to be replaced also. The dealer knew of no replacement compensation.my tire dealer pointed out that my 2002 trailer had been equipped with a 2000 year tire and showed me how to read date stamp.after investigating recall reports and complaints about goodyear series "e" tires via internet and personal interviews with fellow campers i certainly do not feel safe short of replacing all tires.goodyear recalled tires on 15 passenger vans, are travel trailers not a hazard with these same series tires?i would also like to go on record to say that two year old tires (date stamped yr. 2000) do not belong on a consumers 2002 travel trailer.also with a record that these tires have goodyear should compensate consumers with safe replacements or reimbursements.
Goodyear,load range e, rtire size lt 245/75r16; tires were worn out. Took vehicle to goodyear dealer, and deale r put onnew tires.goodyear recalled tires, but only would replace the tires in vehiclewith original equipment for 2000, ford truck,f350 .
A goodyear treva lt245/75r16 with 1000 miles on it has suffered separation of the rubber near the bead.the internal tire constituents are visible.the defect runs (on the outside of the tire) about 8" and the delamination gap is about 1/4".the inside of the wheel defect is 1" long and 1/8" gap.pictures of he defect are available.no accident or vehicle damage has occurred.dealer was not responsive to remediation although its been reported that goodyear load range e light truck tires have had many "silent recalls".
Original tires on a ford, econoline, van 250.right rear tire blewout at 70 mph, consumer kept control of vehicle.second tire blewout on30january,2001.consumer was running on steel belts.

Goodyear wrangler at/s tt215/85r16115/1120 load rande e tires came on a 2003 chevy 3500 4x4 ...with a duramax engine ...both front tires developed sidewall bulges ...both tires replaced...5 thousand mile later the second set developed same problem...truck is still at dealer waiting for a goodyear rep....looks like these tires cant hold up under the weight of this vehicle....would be really bad if this 8000 pound truck had ablowout ...

We have had 4 tires loose tread on our jayco 5th wheel trailer.the tires are goodyear lt215/85r/16 load range e.our tires never lost air.we drove to camping world in myrtle beach from i95 only on the steel tread and they did not loose air or go flat.when purchasing the tires the dealer felt the one tire was still too good to be replaced but since it was one of the original tires we said to cut it and give us 4 new tires.we did heavy damage to our brakes, slideout and coach damage.thankfully no injuries occured to us or anyother people behind us.goodyear will admit to nothing i tried before.but found a letter dated 11/7/2000 where they have a slient recall on load range e tires.
Re: goodyear 16" load range e tire.while driving on of the passenger side tire treads separated.the trailer was taken to a tire dealer who determined that the other three tires had bubbles along the tread line.all four tires were replaced but he consumer kept the goodyear spare.the tires were only two years old.the consumer request reimbursement for five goodyear tires.
Information request regarding goodyear long range e tire recall.*mr goodyear stated that they didn't believe their tires had a defect. On the other hand, goodyear will provide replacement of earlier design lt235/85r16 load range e tires on pre 1992 15 passenger vans (with/without 3rd row seat). *ph
