Tranmission ongoing, popping in rear ongoing, tires bald in 5,000 miles.someone is going to get killed pulling out in traffic and having the transmission not work properly( dot number: tire size: p215 75r15 )
*since purchase new, one tire would go nearly flat weekly.took it to the dealer to have it checked when they checked the window mechanism and the abs sensor light--no problem found.took it to 3 different tire stores (2 goodyear)--no problem found.it went bald after only 18k and 2 rotations.no problem since purchasing 2 new tires.alignment was not a problem--done @ 10k & 21k.weather did not effect air loss, either.*drivers "auto-down" feature has never worked consistantly.has nearly caused accidents & is very frustrating.dealer has checked it too many times to count--same with the *abs light on the dash coming on and not going off.i think they changed fuses once--still happens, but not as often.would that effect safety? i don't know if the system will work properly while the light is flashing.*wiper problem is very intermittent--of course.when on slow intermittent (1 or 2) speed, will speed up on it's own to very fast & then must be turned off & back on again in order to get the correct speed set again.temp & time run does not effect malfunction at all--happens hot or cold & after 3-5 minutes or up to an hour.back wiper has always "chattered" when wiping--worse when cold.*can you change this window?it's hard to tell what you type and very hard to correct errors.( dot number: 97s ? tire size: p215/70r15 )
Tires - excessive tire wear over 20,000 miles, especially at the outer edges.also, brake rotor failure (pitting) at 20.000 miles.( dot number: tire size: glp215/75r )
The front end was vibrating .the vehicle was taken to merchants tire for alignment and rotation.i was advised the tire were chopped up and new tires were the only way to fix the problemand the problem was caused by weak shocks or struts.i took the car to the dealer and was advised by the service dept. Personal that the tires needed to rotated every two oil changes and nothing was wrong with the shocks or struts.also i was advised that if they were rotated they might wear smooth and the problem would go away.( dot number: tire size: p205/70r15 )

Backing up in drive way, front passenger side fell to the ground/tire was ripped apart on the insideof tire wall/spring coil broke/called tow truck/dealer said coil spring broke/replaced coil spring/ they had failed to replaced the driver side coil/ i thought this was very irresponsible/could have the same hazardous potential to break. Struts cause tire to fail and road handling in dry or rain ,rain is worse( dot number: tire size: p175/65r14 )
1. Idle speed control valve failed causing cold start problem ( very low rpm or engine dies). Toyota of cerritos claimed there is a defect on the valve it self. Toyota keep suppling them with old/defective valve for service. Per service manager, if toyota keeps doing this, there is nothing they can do to fix this problem, it will happen again. Toyota customer service is not aware of such a problem. 2. Tires were cupped at 20000 miles under normal surface street and freeway driving. Goodyear claimed its not under warranty. Invicta gl tires were on my dodge ram conversion van when i purchased it new. The tires were worn to 4/32 in at 8050 miles. The problem with the window was reported yesterday 11/12/1999.i forgot to add that it may not cause safety problems now but months down the line and depending on the temperatures, the seepage of the sealant can cause the seal around the window to be ineffective and ultimately cause water to enter through the cabin area.when that happens it could cause shortage and risk to major components.the problem with the tires are that they showed pre-mature uneven wearing on the outer treads of all tires at approximately 1,500 miles.this wearing can be hazardous during wet driving conditions as the grip of the tires to adhered to the road can be limited.i reported 3 tires/failures because i had to replace one original because of a flat that was unrepairable.( dot number: 284 tire size: p15580r13 )
Various problems with invieta glow tire equipment.*mrthe outer sidewall and tread wore prematurely (between 6000 and 12000 miles).goodyear replaced all four tire with tires designed for full size van with high centers of gravity (goodyear invicta glowlrptldd).

3 of my 4 tires separated due to a factory defect - the belts separated, causing them to be unsafe enough not to pass virginia state inspection.the tread wear on all of them was 67%.my failed tires caused me to have to buy 4 brand new tires, even though the problem was a factory defect.we did not get into an accident - yet.these tires should be recalled if they are not safe.(dot number: 4bm3ddwr38tiresize: 2157015)
Vehicle intermittently stalls when deceleration and also at acceleration.occurs most often when turning.left my family of five along with 2 of their friends stalled in incoming traffic.other stalling events also required other drivers to take action to avoid hitting front or rear of vehicle.dealer performed pcm reprogramming in accordance with tsb 98-25-6 and corrected stalling problem.while wife reported stalling infrequently when under warranty, the stalling frequency increased to 1-2 times a day after transmission service by dealer at approx 47,000 miles.i am happy that the car is now fixed but ford has not offered to pay for reprogramming which is a known problem with the windstars.this should be a safety recall item.three other problems which have occured with this car is goodyear invicta tire separation (tires replaced prior to failure); power steering pump fluid contamination; and noisy tie end rods.tire replacementprorated.power steering fluid flushed at my expense.tie end rods replaced under bumper-to-bumper warranty.please investigate stalling problem as a safety recall.i am still trying thru ford customer service to get reimbursed for correcting the stalling associated with tsb 98-25-6.
