The contact owns a 2017 thor ace rv equipped with goodyear g6t0rv tires, size: 245/17/r19.5 (na). While driving approximately 55 mph and towing a trailer with a compact vehicle inside, the rear passenger side inside dual tire suddenly experienced a blowout. During the tire blowout, wires connecting the lighting system that were located in the wheel well were damaged. The failure caused all the exterior lighting to shut off, which prevented the contact from seeing the road at night. The wires were replaced by the owner. The manufacturer and an unknown dealer were notified of the failure. The vehicle and tire failure mileage was 5,000.

I purchased 4 new goodyear fortera tires 8/2004 and had freeway blow outs on 3 of the 4 tires with less than 15,000 miles on each tire.blow outs occured 2 in may and 1 in june.i replaced the first 2 again with fortera tires, but after blow #3 i requested that goodyear prorate all tires so i could replace with another brand but they refused.given this experience i believe these tires are defective and should be tested and possibly recalled.the dealer could not detect why the tires failed due to damage from freeway blow outs and having to drive off of the freeway before stopping.

I bought a brand new impala, year 2008.after approximately 10k miles i experienced a vibration in the rear when braking.when i brought the car to radley chevrolet in fredericksburg, they told me that the rotors were warped and it was my fault and not covered by warranty.they said that the lug nut torque was not correct and uneven.i never touched the lug nuts or rotated the tires as the torque issue was rear only and tread wear proved there had been no rotation.i went to chevrolet customer service who stated the radley service manager was such a great guy and he believed the service manager. When i explained that the tread wear proved the tires were not rotated he then told me thatnot rotating the tires was a maintenance violation also.i asked him that now you are claiming the uneven torque was due to me not rotating the tires.i am frustrated as i am right and never touched those tires or nuts.i am not even sure where the wrench is.

I was driving home from work when the front right tire appeared to blowout causing the car to skid in the curb. My husband came and put the little spare on and i was to take it a dodge dealer the next morning for them to inspect the tire for abnormalities, etc. About a half block from the original blowout the car suddenly swerved into the center lane and the front end appeared to drop and i gained control of the car and got it to the right lane and the car stopped without me putting it in park. I then put it in park and got out to see what it was and found that the spare tire had broken off the axel and was pushed into the wheel well and the front end of the car was actually sitting on the ground with all the fluids draining out into the street. I heard and felt a loud crunch sound thinking someone had either hit me or i hit somebody else. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I had the car towed and it will arrive at the dealership in the morning for them to assess the damage to the engine, transmission, frame and and wheel axels. I have had no other complaint with my car except for the radio/cd player which was replaced with a new player.....the radio however is still not working right. I was not hurt during either incident, but, i do believe seeing the damage to the car was some kind of defect in order to create that sort of damage. I would appreciate any help that someone may be able to offer or at least investigate the car. Thank you very much for timely attention into this matter.

Purchased in july 2004. Rear end and differnetial failed at 2700 miles.replaced rear-end. Replaced rear-end agian at less that 7000 miles, replaced tires at 13500miles, rear-end continued to lock and slide tires. Have had car in dealer 5 times and tomorrow, the 3rd rear-end will be put in!!! cadillac refuses to buy car back but has extended drive train warranty to 100k miles.

After 15,000 miles on good year tires i had strange wear of all 4 tires. I went to the ford dealership burt ford 303-643-9020 and approved through ford all tires had been replaced. (this was bought new off of ford lot with goodyear tires) they stated the tires had coupled? bad tires and replace. 20,000 miles later the same thing happened all 4 tires and i was told by ford customer care, 1-800-241- ford, andburt ford that again it was the tires and again the new tires have started coupling. I feel this is the ford ranger 2001, 4 wheel drive, build defect that is making this happen. I at this time fear the vehicle has a major defect and this will make the truck unsafe and possibly cause loss of life. Ford stated they checked front end only. They are not taking this as a real issue and have now placed me and my family in danger.

The prius headlights turn off randomly while driving.sometimes one, sometimes both.there is no pattern and they go back on when the on/off switch is activated.this has been going on since about 40,000 miles.the bulbs were removed and reset and the right side was fixed, the left side fails less frequently.this is a potentially dangerous situation since the dealer does not seem to be sure of the cause of this problem.the cost to replace the bulbs is over $400.there is no guarantee that this will fix the problem.the tires wear out very quickly; replaced original tires at 22,209 miles and now at 50,287 miles the second set has to be replaced.the tire pressure light goes on continuously, regardless of pressure.

Purchased a 05, 300 touring, signature series, oct 04. Noticed after driving car home (100 miles) car pulled to the right. Car has been serviced at every required mileage limits. Car has been in shop for pulling to the right numerous times and adjustments have been made. Good year tires wore out at 23k miles. Dealer stated nothing they could do about it even though it had been documented that tires showed improper wear throughout the servicing periods. I had to purchase 4 new tires. The car still pulls to the right and have been given some story that it will prevent me from going into on coming traffic if i pass out at the wheel. Front windshield fogs up when using air conditioner, road noise is bad, power train and rear end leaks, the plastic sunvisor holders break often (replaced twice). Carpet cut too short to stay under door panels.

2007 jeep grand cherokee limited, 4.7 engine, vibration at highway speeds between 60 and 75 mph. Dealership has replaced both driveshafts which helped some. Goodyear replaced on goodyear fortera hl tire which was out of round. This helped some as well. Still there is a vibration (shudder) throughout the vehicle at the speeds mentioned prior.

Purchased in july 2004. Rear end and differnetial failed at 2700 miles.replaced rear-end. Air condition harness wire repair and controller unit replacement.electrical shortage after repair blamed on battery just replaced last year. Paid $5,244.00 and then required to pay $500.00 for new cables and battery after having the vehicle back in my posession for less than 1 hour.shortage after repairblew out battery supposedly.transfer case replaced, brakes, rotors replaced, tires pealing on walls replaced, pinion seal leak and more.

Brakes grinding at 14,000 miles, 2 tires wearing.taken to dealer, dealer turned rotars and said tires were goodyears problem.taken to goodyear dealer, was told it was a bad set up by car dealer and was the 3rd car brought in from that dealer.called gm hot line and was told to take into another dealer and that we would have to pay for estimate if it wasn't warranty.the first told us it would not be warranty.now we are driving on an almost bald tire with my children and grandchild in the car.the reason we bought a new car is so we would have a safe car and when we spent 20,000 dollars we thought it would last more than a year not only 14,000 miles.after the dealer turned the left rear rotar it still has marks on it.

The driver noticed while driving,a squeaking noise was heard coming from the rear of the vehicle.the vehicle started vibrating uncontrollably.the driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle and drove to the dealer for inspection.the mechanic informed the driver that the structure of the vehicle was design defect from the manufacturer.a fix was not available at this time.two months after purchase, the brakes began to squeal.dealer said it was a creep groan and could not repair the problem.consumer experienced 4 flat tires (goodyear p245/45r18 - model # 96vs2eagrs-avsbrptl) all found to have defective splits called sidewalk circumferential cracks.consumer received a safety recall notice regarding a sun roof shatter condition.

Problems with the front end of a brand new 2006 mitsubishi fuso fe-145. This could be a safety hazard as front end of vehicle grabs - slides - skips sideways after stopping and then starting out while turning. This occurs after extended periods of highway driving.mine started prior to 2000 miles and hasgotten worse.mechanics have checked the front end but have never experienced the great degree of the problem - as time - long periods of highway driving seems to manifest the problem. They say it's the tires.no way is this problem just the tires ! if it is, the tires are no good and should be replaced by the manufacturer.i have been told by a mitsubishi dealer that the treads on the tires are too "agressive a tread" for a steering tire. But, really, this problem is much, much more than could ever be caused by any tire. Something else is wrong. But no one will take the time or make the effort to tell me what it really is.as mentioned, mechanics have felt only slight symptoms of the problems - it gets very, very bad at times.

I was driving my uplander when the vehicle jerked to the left. It resulted in my driving over a concrete median and causing $4000.00 of damage to vehicle.i did not realize until i picked the van up from repair that this may possibly not be my fault.driving home on the day i picked the van up from repair, the van again jerked to the left and i almost had another wreck. I have owned the van since june and have not had this problem, however, i have had the van in the shop for numerous other complaints, such as the power doors malfunctioning, a shake in the front end, loud clunking noise when accelerating uphill, squeak in the steering. I am now very concerned about the safety of this van.

Shortly after purchasing my new 2006 lr3 i started noticing uneven tire wear and requested that the tires be rotated and for the service department to check the front end for proper alignment. On the following maintenance service the dealer said that the warranty had expired for front end alignments and there was nothing they could do unless i paid for it. Now at about 35,000 miles i'm noticing exposed plys on the inner part of the rear tires and am concerned to drive it. This model definitely has a problem(s) causing premature tire wear which i fear may cause blowouts at high speeds thus causing serious injury or death. I understand that land rover issued a technical service bulletin la 204-005 in the us in october 2006, which covers vins from 5a000360 to 6a403382 that states that uneven tire wear may be caused by a degree of "bush settle" that affects the geometry of the tires increasing tire wear. The law firm of kabob in california has filed a class action suit and the case is now pending in the superior court of santa clara county.

Started out with a wobble on the tire then my ball joints upper and lower left and right front along with my tie rods inner and outer left and right my left ball barring hub was replaced on the left side front also i still have to replace the stabilizing front bar which i will be purchasing this week of sept 1st.this all happened just these past two weeks and now i am forced to purchase 4 tires that i cannot afford after spending all that money to fix the front end. Please help me. I did not have any accidents that is just from driving to work and for pleasure.

I have a 2001 ford focus, originally there has only been one owner to this vehicle. Very recently, i experienced a very loud noise in my left rear tire which as days past, i was unable to drive the car. My tire had begun to wobble to the point i thought that it may come off my car. This was caused by defective wheel bearings in the tire.

Date:5/2/07sunfire 2005 was purchased brand new in 9/05 investment purpose in a new car for safety, reliability, gas mileage, non-repair and price of vehicle.at 26,000 miles, $900 of repairs were placed on the car in upgrades to keep the vehicle running, to-date, counting 10 failures, first date of failure requiring car repair 12/27/06.(not including vehicle maintenance)repairs demand at a minimum 3hrs of time at each repair visit.repairs on vehicle demand just a few more hundred dollars in cash payments and cost of a car rental while vehicle is down.incidences of failure on vehicle remain unresolved due to pontiac's denial and refusal to fix the vehicle.supportive documents will show price gouging, harassment and a defective vehicle.the following failures have occurred on the gmc/pontiac sunfire 05 vehicle:trunk latch failure, no crank - battery failure, all four tires failed warped, cracked, frayed apart, brake pad failure.following are failures occurring on the vehicle left unresolved:brakes squeak, maneuvering in turning vehicle makes noise, vehicle bounces/rocks forward when parking and stopping, vehicle bounces/rocks backward at stop.these failures are just a few and counting.

No failure as of yet, but have two lower ball joints on my vehicle that both are out of tolerance at the same time.seems that my make and model year had a recall on the lower ball joints but they are telling me that my vehicle wasn't included.it seems very odd that the ball joints are both out at the same time, almost like there is a problem with more of the joints than they initially expected.

The contact owns a 2002 chrysler pt cruiser.he noticed the left front tire pressure was low due to a split in the middle of the tire.the current and failure mileages were 8,429.

Loud noise from drivers side front tire, found approx. Four inch oval bubble approx. One and one half inch protrusion from outside sidewall near rim.

Goodyear dot mmfujnr33815 goodyear tire mts/235/45r18 94v.second tire i had to replace on new ford fusion (nitrogen).1st the whole sidewall completely seperated from tire.service dept. At ford said they have never seen that happen before.said it was a defective tire.now i have a golf ball size lump on my sidewall of the tire.no apparent reason.it is time for goodyear to be investigated & reimburse consumers.someone is going to die.i found the defect before any blowout or accident.

This is the second occurrence of a sidewall bubble on my bmw goodyear excellence19" run flat tires 98 on my 2011 bmw 550i.in january 2013 at 11,000 miles my right front developed a bubble and needed to be replaced.i only noticed because my tire pressure monitor alert came on and when i took my car to have my tires checked they noticed the bubble.now at 14,000 my left front side tire is also developing a sidewall bubble.the tires have plenty of tread and i do not abuse my car.i am very careful about avoiding potholes and drive slowly over railroad tracks.

Goodyear 245-40r-19 tires onmy 2013 bmw 535xi are defective. At 11k miles, i had to replace one tire and then at 15k i had to replace another due to side wall "bubbling".dealer informed me this happens frequently with these tires and there "is nothing bmw or goodyear" will do for the consumer. Goodyear discontinued their insurance. Cost to replace with mounting and balancing/tax $500 per tire. At first, dealer mentioned you must have hit a pot hole. When i mentioned to him that two tires "bubbling" after 15k miles is very questionable he then informed me that this is a tire issue. I sent in a complaint to goodyear and bmw to no avail. They do not want to take responsibility for the tire issue yet the tires are defective and bmw continues to place them on their vehicles. Researching the issue it seems there are many other people in my situation.

I had flat tires in three of my 4 tires in a 6 week period.the first and third of these 3 flats were traced to a crack in the valve stem.the 2nd and 3rd flats occurred at highway speeds within 50 minutes of each other damaging both tires beyond repair.the second tire caused severe pulling to the right.by the time i pulled over the tire was smoking.sears had installed these tires in 2006.they suspect the tech tr413 valve stem was the culprit.sears agreed to replace all tires with new.this work has not yet been done yet so one valve stem remains installed and will be closely inspected upon replacement.do you want this valve stem returned for inspection? the police provided an escort for tire failure #2 so police records surely exist though i filed no formal report.

The valve stems on my tires are causing constant low tire pressure, to the point that one of my tires now has a hole in the side wall. The dealership will not help, and i have under 12k miles on it. I've been there 4 times for this problem and it has not been resolved!

I purchased 4 new goodyear assurance comfort tread tires on 10/01/2008. On 12/02/2008 i had a blow-out to the side wall (outer) of the right rear passenger tire. I was traveling 30mph. I had to be towed to the dealer where i purchased the tires.(claude nolan cadillac). I was told that the tire could not be repaired. I had to purchase a new tire. I have asked the dealer to maintain the old tire for possible inspection.

While traveling on a freeway at approximately 70 mph, the right rear tire had a catastrophic failure. The vehicle began vibrating suddenly and violently. I was able to control the car and drove it to the shoulder of the freeway. An inspection showed the tire was slightly inflated. (the rim was not crushed into the rubber.) i determined that the safest thing to do was to drive the car on the shoulder and take the first exit to get away from the high speed traffic where i changed the tire. The tire dealer claimed that the failure was due to riding on an under inflated tire. This is not so. Before this incident happened, i walked to my car from the right rear and i would have noticed an under inflated tire. About fifteen minutes after leaving that parking place the tire failed.my car is a honda s2000 and i fuss over it all the time. The tires are well inspected when the car is washed and then tire shine is applied. The tire was not under inflated. The tire dealer could find no evidence of a puncture that would cause under inflation.

The contact owns a 2006 chevrolet impala equipped with good year tire sizep235-50-r18. The dot and serial number were not available. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph the front drivers side tire thread separated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.

This complaint is regarding goodyear assurance comfort tires.i purchased these tires for my 2000 forester on may 5, 2005.since that time one tire has developed a lump on the sidewall.this tire was replaced, and the replacement tire blew out 500 miles later while traveling on i-25 at 55 miles per hour.

The contact owns a 2014 entegra aspire equipped with goodyear g670rv tires, size: 29580r22.5 (na). While driving 62 mph, the front driver's side tire blew out. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the tire split into thin layers. The tire was replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle failure mileage was 22,800 and the tire failure mileage was 2,100.

Dt*: the contact stated while driving at 65 mph the side wall of the left rear tire separated causing a blow out and there were no warning of any defects on the tire.the dealership inspected and replaced the tire.the manufacturer was not alerted.

Bought brand new car last year jeep liberty with good year tires. Within 15,000 the tire is defected. Good year could not tell me what was wrong with the tire and neither could firestone for another opinion said that it was not able to be fixed and had to spend $180 to get a new tire. Goodyear would not replace the tire or do anything because of their warranty policy. 15,000 miles on a tire is not warranted enough.

Dt:2003 jeep grand cherokee.the consumer stateddriver's side rear tire sidewall disintegrated.there is only 31,000 miles on the vehicle.the rest of the tireswere weather rotted.these tires have never been repaired.they were the original tires on the vehicle.goodyear,p255/75r16. The tire was taken to the dealership. Instead, it should havebeentaken to goodyear.there was no wreck when this happened.the tires were properly maintained. It is a leased vehicle.

I have had two of the tires that came with my new vehicle have the treads separate. They are model goodyear, p22560r17. One tire separated in february and was replaced by the dealership and the second one on august 20, 2008.

The contact owns a 2004 audi a4.the vehicle has goodyear assurance comfort tread tires (na).while the contact was examining her vehicle, she noticed that the front driver's side tread was separating from the tire.the vehicle was taken to the tire dealer and they diagnosed it as alignment failure.there were no warnings prior to the failure.the vin and tire size were unknown.the failure mileage was 21,000.

The contact owns a 2004 nissan maxima.the vehicle has goodyear, size p245/45r18 tires.while driving 35 mph or greater, the contact heard a consistent loud noise.the vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for a tire alignment, but the noise continued.it was later discovered that all four tires had a nine inch crack on the inside sidewalls.the current mileage was 26,008 and failure mileage was 54.the consumer provided the repair invoice and pictures of the defects on the tire. The consumer stated the dealer provided a check for the tires but consumer stated it does not cover the cost of the worries and headache dealing with the tires. Updated 08/23/07

2006 mazda 3 tires.already need new tires at 30k miles, this seems to be occurring way too quickly.i would expect tires to last 40k-50k miles before needing new tires.

Goodyear tire causes excessive over steering.

Allof my tires have bulges and pits in them. I've only had my vehicle for one year.the tires still have excellent tread on them, but they've developed pits and bulges.i never drive on the gravel and i live on a paved road.i took my car to my mechanic and he believes that the tires have some kind of defect.the size of my tires are 215 / 65/r16.

I bought a mazda 3, 2.3l which had the original manufacture tires which are goodyear rs a p205/50r17 dot v4h44mbr 2906 v2589which gave me a scare since while i was driving. A piece of tread from my front right came off.took thecar to have them replace. They did a diagnostic to see id the car was off balance, but everything was fine. Also the tire shown great deal of damage specially on the inside of it. I am concern if someone else have the same problem with this tires. Since in the shop they couldn't find any wrong with my car regarding the wearing of this. 3 of the 4 tires showed significant damage in the inside of it, you can see the metal.

Goodyear g670rv tire failure

I have a 2011 bmw 535i with 16,300 miles which developed a bubble on the outside sidewall of the 19" goodyear excellence run flat tire. There was no pothole impact or other incident that i am aware of. The replacement cost at the bmw dealer was over $500. I have since learned that there are many instances of problems with these tires. Why haven't they been recalled?

The contact owns a 2007 winnebago vista equipped with good year g670 (n/a), size 245/70/r19.5 dot mj93mhaw3706 tires. While parked, the contact noticed that the front and rear drivers side tires had bubbles on their sidewalls. The vehicle was taken to a tire shop for replacement. The technicians stated that the vehicle may be equipped with tires of the incorrect load range. The approximate failure mileage was 20,000.

I had 4 brandnew goodyear tires put on my car 1month ago and the tires aren't a bit of good. One tire on the front started separating on the inner wall which we were unaware of untili was on the hwy one day and liked to got killed!!i noticed the car was not riding as it should it was like driving down a really bumpy road. My car swerved into the other lane where a 18wheeler was about 4 sec off from hitting me. I pulled off to find abig hole the size of my pinky was visible then in the inner wall. Took the car to the shop they fixed the tire with a replacement. The very next dayi was driving down the road and realized the car was not riding right again and noticed black chunks of tire coming out from under the car and pulled over to notice cracks on the outside of the other front tire. I only got 1500 miles on these tires!!!!! tire brand p175/80r13.

I owned a 2011 535i bmw with sport package and i purchased it on october 2010 within 9 months from date of purchase 4 of the tires which was goodyear excellence rft - 2 x 245/40 r19 94y (front), 2 x 275/35 r19 96y (rear)they were all need to be replaced. First one was a puncture and the rest of the other three there were bubble(s) on it.

Driving down the road @30 mph. The tire blew out and tore up the front right portion of the vehicle. Also, i have the mate to the tire that was on the other sideand it is defected to. So it seems as if these tires are defected. Both tires were bought and put on at the same time. Kelly goodyear balloon type steer tires (armorsteel)

My mother, brother, and i were on an emergency trip to arkansas in the middle of the night on 09/01/08.we had just gone through kansas city, mo when my brother (who was driving at the time) lost control of my 2000 plymouth voyager van and was able to get the van off to the side of the interstate.luckily, there was not a crash involved.the front driver's side tire was shredded down to nothing.he put on the spare tire and we stayed over night at an ihop restaurant.in the morning, we went to walmart and had the tire replaced for $84.74, and we were able to continue our trip.when we returned home to omaha, ne, i went to sears where the tires were originally purchased in may 2005.the manager of the garage at sears went out to look at the tire the shredded and also inspected the other tires.he was surprised by the look of the shredded tire (which i kept as evidence of the damage) and he also noticed that both passenger side tires were splitting on the sidewalls the same way that the blown tire did.the manager ordered three new tires, and they were mounted on 09/28/08.i have "road hazard plus service agreement" with sears, but it still cost me $317.96 to replace the 3 tires.sears adjusted the bill by $35.11 and $26.33 (tread adjustment) for the 2 tires that had splits on the sidewalls, but i had to pay the total cost of the tire that shredded.i was very upset by the whole situation.the tires were only 3 years old and had about 33,500 miles on them (75,000 mile warranty).the manager gave me the following number:pjkcwkhr1005, but i don't recall what it was for.in the end, it cost me $402.70 ($84.74 + $317.96) to replace the tires (i kept the walmart tire as a spare).i believe that these tires were a defective, bad batch of tires, and that i should be reimbursed by either goodyear or sears.i would like to know if there have been any other complaints about these particular tires.the tires are goodyear p205/75s14 weatherhandler ls.

My daughter and son in law had purchased good year tires 8 months ago and have less than 8,000 miles on them when one tire side wall on the tire failedwhen they took it to the dealer they were told that the failure was due to a pot hole.the failure was the sidewall and therefore in our minds that particular tire sidewall had to be defective.they were told that they had to pay for a new tire. This is totally unacceptable.goodyear should recognize that the failure could have taken place on the highway at high speeds where my daughter, son in law and grand children could have easilybeen killed.there needs to be some justification to them other than some mechanic telling them it was due to a pot hole..

While driving tires started to separate from vehicle. Was noticed after parking vehicle & checking tires. The separation is occurring inside of the tires. Had happened before on tires by same manufacturer.

On 5/29/2015 after leaving rest area and doing a walk around my rig, i was driving north on i-95 in my 2009 super class c rv, haulmark, model 3303ts, 44' long w/ suburban in tow, traveling 70 mph, kaboom, right front tire blew. Safely slowed vehicle down (foot off gas) and merged to safety lane. After getting my self together, i looked at the damage. The blow out took my passenger side steps, fender, hood, bumper and damaged parts of regen systems. The tire is goodyear g670 rv, 295/80r22.5 dot danu2caw0612 installed by goodyear on 7/20/12, mileage 23589.mileage at time of accident 40064. My rv was towed to a elite tow parking lot for the weekend and then towed to volvo dealer locally. Still sitting in their lot waiting on parts to be fixed. Tire is still with rv at present. Insurance, goodyear and i want the tire for payment reimbursement & reason for blowout.

Dt:the tires on the vehicle have bulged.every time this has occurred consumer had taken itto dealer to be replaced.driver's side fronthad to be replaced three times.also, passenger's side front tire had to be replaced.the replacement for the passenger side front experienced tread separation.the driver side rear tire has been replaced twice.the rear passenger side tire has had no problems as of yet.all tires were purchased brand new.there was no road construction or rain when the problems occurred.each time when this occurred consumer was driving on city streets.the average temperature was around 85 degrees or less.there were no accidents.the manufacture of all the tires was goodyear tire & rubber, sizep205/65r15rs standard.all tire were being replaced free of charge under warranty.all the replacement tires were purchased from discount tires 7401 west lake mead boulevard las vegas, nv 89128 702-636-2160 or at 4840 south jones boulevard las vegas, nv 89103 702-362-2995.

The contact owns a 2012 bmw 328i equipped with goodyear efficient grip run flats tires, line size 225/45r/18. The contact stated that the front and rear passenger side tire developed a bubble on the side wall. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technician stated that the failure was caused by driving over a pot hole. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but did not offer any assistance. The tires were replaced. The dot and the vin numbers were not available. The failure mileage was 4,393 and the current mileage was 10,000.

Toyota sienna runflat tires wear to rod by 16,000 miles...started to hear noise in front end tires. A little pull to left .very jittery at 55+mph.. Pressure seemed ok- so took to mechanic.he said "run-flat" tires completely worn down to rod..but go try dealer since only 16,900 miles.called toyota said not their responsiblity- tire co.'s wouldn't even help locate specialty tire shop for special oem dunlop oem (run-flat tires).toyota guy admitted though (on the side) that it may be run-flats as getting many complaints.web indicates many of same experiences at @15-20,000 miles.an accident waiting to happen.they should be recalled immediately before a family gets killed.needless to say we are replacing with regular tires- no fun-flats.this technology may not be ready for prime time and every one is making it oem already.thanks.

1.june 28, 2005, i purchased a 5th wheel with goodyear marathon tires, st235/80-r16, load range "d".august 9,2005, i blew a tire on the 5th wheel, while traveling in wyoming. In late september, all four rims were replaced "under warranty.in late september, i blew a second tire which was mounted on the new aluminum rims. The gvwr of the trailer is 14,100. The trailer was weighed in july as having 10,580 pounds on the rear two axels.hitch weight is 2,700 pounds.for a 13,340 pound actual trailer weight.(last year i owned another 5th wheel which also experienced a large bubble on the sidewall of a new marathon st 235/80-r16 tire.)2.goodyear tire analyzed both tires and told me that failure was due to " the condition found is the result of operation following a loss of air pressure.no workmanship or material related condition was found to have caused the initial air loss.we heard the two tires blow!the third tire they warranted.also, the goodyear marathon, st 235/80-r16 is a 65 mph "max speed rating" tire. There is no warning in the owners manual that states that if you have goodyear st 235/80-r16 tires on your 5th wheel, the maximum speed should not exceed 65 mph.you couple this with the max gvwr of the trailer and you have certain tire failure.especially, if the vehicle is on the road for 6-10 hours, in the heat of the day, and experiencing heavy truck road damage. (ie missing pavement, potholes, bridge bumps, ruts, etc)3.the "tire co." issue arecall, in october, for the rims.however, my trailer is not on the recall list.also, i believe the tires on my 5th wheel should have aload range rating of "e" or "g"and not a load range rating of "d", as i have now and the tires should not have a maximum speed rating of 65 mph unless the manufacturer clearly states that 65 mph should not be exceeded.

As of april 2011, two air bubbles develop on the side wall on one of my front tire whilei only have less than 2300 miles on the car. I purchased a 2003 bmw 325i last year . From san diego bmwand i had 3 or more tire blow out eversince , and is all from the same side of the car (left rear) . I got brand new tires , rotation alignment , anything i can think of. From the same dealer i purchased my car from . My last tire blow out was on nov. 20,2004 from the tire i had repair on at the dealer service dept.)and it happened two days after i had my car service, and tire repair. (i call the service dept. All they can tellme was to get new tires. )

After placing right front goodyear concord tire on vehicle it developed a very slow leak. Tire had lost 2 lbs of air pressure in one month. Tire never went flat. At tire retailer, tire was checked for leakage, but no bubbles appeared. Hadtire stem replaced. Problem still exists. Finally, had the tire replaced with another. Hadsame problem with the new tire. 1991 plymouth, acclaim. T205/60r15, 90s 1-dot plune3lr4000, 39,950 miles,2-dot mdune3lr1800,and 42,630 miles.

I bought a car "dodge durango limited" from dodge dealer "united motors" in riyadh, saudi arabia back in oct 29th , 2007.the problems with this car started since i bought it. Since i bought the car, i started to feel vibrations in at the steering and a high pitch sound at the front to the degree that i could not wait for the 5000 km maintenance and i needed to take it at the 3500 km for fixing this problem. The other problem was that the rear window driver's switch was not working. The report from maintenance was the need for wheel balance and they said that they fixed it, software upgrade done for the sound, but they apologized about the rear window with no further action. After receiving the car i still had the problem of vibration but i brought it again at the 5000 km for the general maintenance and the same problem of vibration. This time the dealer provided me with a letter to goodyear tires as an expert opinion. The goodyear dealer provided me with a report (attached) that the tires are defective with flat spots due to storage, need to be changed and advised to get and approval from dodge dealership. First, i met with mr. Ali m. Radaideh and his words were as follows: "we do not take the words of goodyear dealership and we have to make our own investigation" this was already done and they tried their best twice. "your tires are safe and can be driven for even one year". This conflicts with the words of goodyear dealership and really endangers me and my family's safety. At this point, i needed to escalate to the general manager, "mr. Faisal aljamaan" with the following words and behavior:"dodge and goodyear are pointing fingers to each other and you need to wait till we resolve this".he threatened me" to lose a lot of money" when i mentioned the option of returning the car. Thank you and best regards

Purchased a 2006 chevrolot uplander van with good year tires, p225/60r17. Right afterthe purchase vehicle started making noise & riding rough.was informed by dealership that tires were defective , and that i should have good year replace tires. Good year alleged tires were cupped due to no rotation prior to my purchasing vehicle.now approximately 6 months after purchase i have to purchase 4 new tires and be responsible for the cost. I believe this to be a total rip off.

Driving down the road @30 mph. The tire blew out and tore up the front right portion of the vehicle. Also, i have the mate to the tire that was on the other sideand it is defected to. I purchased 4 new nexen 641 215 60/16 tires on 7/5/15 in nashville, tn at the action nissan dealership. I drove to arizona from there, and the right passenger tire blew out 4 days later in the state of new mexico. There were no visible punctures. I believe it was defective. I have read online accounts of similar occurrences. It has me very concerned. Please note: the nexen brand is not available as a choice in your tire drop down options. Per your representative with whom i spoke today, i chose goodyear as the option instead. I was also given the reference # of [xxx].information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

Three goodyear excellence 245/40r19xl run-flat tires have failed with sidewall bubbles on my 2011 bmw 535i.the first was on 8-31-11 at 7,317 miles.the second on 1-15-13 at 20,158 miles and the most recent on 7-16-13 at 23,433 miles.the factory original right-front tire and its replacement tire both failed.the third failure (on 7-16-13) was on the left front.this is my wife's car and it is driven very conservatively.no wrecks, no hitting curbs, etc.never in my life have i had this type of tire failure.these run-flat tires are truly defective.in each case, i had to pay for a new replacement tire.old tires are not available unless i could reclaim the latest tire at my local tire shop before they discarded it.complained to goodyear the last time and they agreed to pay part of the cost of the replacement tire.these need to be taken off the road before someone gets killed.

Rubber tire valve stem cracked. Tire deflates. Has occurred so far on 3 of 4 tires purchased in october 2006. Failures occurred in march 2008, july 2008 (twice). In all three cases, valve replaced by tire dealer.

There were two recapped tires placed on the rear-extended lift axle of a dump truck.while driving 55 mph one tire blew out, and the other tire separated while carrying a load.upon speaking with the retailer they referred the consumer to the wholesaler.neither claimed responsibility, and referred her to j.p. Four defective tires on vehicle. Please expalin.tt

Husbands truck began wobbling noticeably while driving.checked tires and came to the conclusion that 3 tires had bubbles in the sidewalls, and of the 3 tires 1 had a bubble the size and shape of a football in the middle of tread, i believe they were goodyear tires 255/65/17.also,the wire inside of the tire could be seen on another part of the tread, which there wasn't much of.27,000 miles on vehicle, bought used less than 1mo ago.put spare tire on the worst one, took back to dealership and ford replaced all 4 tires since the other one was different make and wrong size.could have been serious accident involving tires if traveled 1,000 miles with family when attended grandmothers funeral.

Had two goodyear g 670, size 295 80r 22.5, tires blow out on ,my motorhome.the first tire blew out on labor day 2009 and the second the following july 2010.both tires had to be replaced --i actually replaced all 6 of those tires for fear of more blowouts.

I replaced my front tire at bergeys dealership.the tire was bubbled up on the middle of the front surface.i had requested to replace two more times but the bubble still show on the tire.i suspect the tire's lot quality is not good. But, the dealer did not accept that their tires were not good;i really don't want to drive this tire on the road. I wish this tire's lot need to be recall because of the bad quality to prevent drivers get into an accident. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

I was traveling on interstate 75 northbound just north of ocala, fl when my 2015 entegra aspire motorhome suffered a tire blowout to the left front steer tire. The tire type is a goodyear g670rv 295/80r22.5. There were no prior indications that there was a problem with the tire. The incident resulted in momentary loss of vehicle control as well as causing significant damage to the motorhome in the wheel well area. This area housed a wiring harness and support structures for the body components of the vehicle.additionally, the tire belt fragments damaged the vehicle i was towing and caused damage to another person's vehicle who was behind my motorhome on the highway. After the incident occured my wife posted on an entegra social media group what had happened and it appears that there are a multitude of other people with the same problem with the same make and model of tire on their motorhome. I subsequently have purchased a different brand of replacement tires for the motorhome as i do not trust the goodyear tires on the motorhome. The date code on the tires were (1914) so about 4 years old. There were no signs of dry rotting on the tires and the vehicle does not sit for extended periods of time.

I purchased 4 new tires from my nissan dealership in september 2014.within two weeks i had two flat tires from the tire sensor leaks.according to tire tec the tire pressure monitoring system servicing rubbers need to be replaced.once a tire is removed and replacedthe rubbers are usually damaged by bending the rubbers thus causing the leaks.i see many complaints on this site advising of sensor warnings and problems with keeping air in tires.this is a problem that is universal to anyone who has a vehicle with the electronic tire sensors and needs to be addressed.so i have had two of my sensors replaced.the other two of my tires constantly leak air.

The valve stems on my tires are causing constant low tire pressure, to the point that one of my tires now has a hole in the side wall. The dealership will not help, and i have under 12k miles on it. I've been there 4 times for this problem and it has not been resolved!

Replaced 3 tires of bmw 19inch rft. Bubbles on all tires. 6k miles. We need a recall here before injury occurs.

Goodyear tire (size- p215-70-r16) wrangler-hp-99sstock on 2004 honda element -4wd-ex-4at. Flat tire on interstate, traveled less than 1/4 mile after tire deflated. Changed tire went directly to residence about 2.5 miles. I inflated the tire once i reached my residence to observe any air flow coming from a foreign object that i may have encountered on the interstate. Nothing noticeable in tread area. I turned the tire over to look at the back side of the tire and noticed 6 ripples(bubbles) on the tire. Tire destroyed. I actually called 14 different tire stores and every store informed me that this tire was not a stock item and asked me "why would i put these tires on my vehicle?"i said i didn't,this was a stock tire when i bought the vehicle in march,2005. Anyways, to make a long story short( no one) had this tires. Not even the car dealer criswell honda." everyone," "everyone will have to special order them." so may i add if you buy one of these vehicles make sure any tire is available -after market- so you do not get stuck in this dilemma.

The consumer stated the dealer provided a check for the tires but consumer stated it does not cover the cost of the worries and headache dealing with the tires. Updated 08/23/07

Steel belt widewalls failed, all four tires sidewalls crack, some to opening of 3/8 inche. Some on inside, some on outside , only 28645 miles on tires when noticed due to high speed wobbel

We got our 3rd. Blow out in less then 1 yr. On goodyear tires. First time aug.04 second time feb.05 3rd.time july 05. 1st. & 2nd. Time damage to the motorhomecombined about $7-$8,000.00 worth of damage. Finally goodyear replaced all 7 tires 4/30/05. First time out for 4th of july weekend we got another blow out. There was about 450 miles on the new set of tires. The tire split on the side of the inside rear passangers side. Called aaa and they sent someone out to change tire he said it blow from having to much air in tire. They spare had 110 lbs. And the required amount is 70 lbs. He let out air and put on. We then took blown out tire to mountain veiw tire where thye where put on. Robert called goodyear and said it was from running over something. The thread was not damaged at all only the side where it blow. Goodyear would replace tire and only charge us half around $179.00. This damage was not from running over anything just from having to much air. We feel that goodyear should replace tire and their expense no ours.

Goodyear tire blew out at sidewall due to a small nail hole which caused the air to suddenly escape.

After adjusting the tire pressure in the morning to 110lbs and driving approximatlely 90 miles the first tire failed and caused $ 2,000.00 in damage to my 2004 model 5th wheel trailer. On may 4th the second tire failure occured in salt lake city, ut on interstate i-15 causing more damage to the 5th wheel.the second tire was turned over to my insurance adjuster in missoula mt.(progressive)

Fist sized blister developed on sidewall of tire forcing it away from the rim.

I am writing about a goodyear tripletred assurance tire with about 5,000 miles.i was told by the dealer that my tire had a valve leak.while driving on the freeway my tire went flat.the dealer said that the low psi caused the rim to 'chew-up' the inside of the sidewall of the tire. My vehicle is a 2002 honda odyssey.

I rec'd a letter regarding recalls on tires on a 2004nissan maxima informing of defected tire walls where the tires crack/split.my tires are now showing such damage, but, i have misplaced my letter indicating where to take the tires for replacement.please send pertinent information as soon as possible so that i can have damaged tires replaced.thank you.d. Goodyear 215 60r16 tires new as of aug 2015. Hit a pothole, tire blew, $4k damage.

Goodyear tires new as of aug 2015, hit a curb, tire blew.

Had two goodyear g 670, size 295 80r 22.5, tires blow out on ,my motorhome.the first tire blew out on labor day 2009 and the second the following july 2010.both tires had to be replaced --i actually replaced all 6 of those tires for fear of more blowouts.

The contact owns a 2000 chrysler concorde.the vehicle has goodyear, size p225/60r16 tires.the contact stated that the driver side rear tire began to slowly lose air until it was completely flat.he noticed that the sidewall of the tire had severe cracks and was chipping.the other three tires also began to lose air.the dot number was unknown.the tire failure mileage was 29,000 and the vehicle current and failure mileages were 80,000.

The valve stems on my tires are causing constant low tire pressure, to the point that one of my tires now has a hole in the side wall. The dealership will not help, and i have under 12k miles on it. I've been there 4 times for this problem and it has not been resolved!

Tire split in several spots near the rim of the vehicle.the tire dealer where the tires were purchased said it was most likely caused by low inflated tire, but my vehicle has an automatic tire pressure indicator and there have been no issue with tire pressure until the day of the incident when the tire pressure indicator came on to indicate a pressure change.my wife was able to get off at the next exit on the interstate and tried to add air only to find that the tire continued to leak air.she was able to get to a tire dealer who told her it was about to complete blow out if she had continued to drive.that dealer felt it was a defective tire.

I purchased 4 tires from goodyear and with less than 22,000 miles on the car it began to shake when i reached a speed of around 60 mph.six times in three months i took the car to goodyear on water st. In syracuse, ny and they rotated and balanced the tires.still shaking i took it to my mechanic who drove the car and inspected the tires and three of them were defective.he replaced the tires for me and i took the old ones back to goodyear.they just looked at them, called akron, ohio and i received a phone call stating i could received a voucher for $139.92 for a future purchase of tires.they were told by the manager that there was nothing wrong with the tires.again, i feel the consumer is being taken advantage of, particularly a woman.i could have caused a severe accident and hurt myself or other people on the road.

Engine was repaired 1 1/2 months ago. Went out of town for thanksgiving weekend when the alternator failed in birmingham, ala.,which left me stranded!i'm back in kenner but my maxima remains in alabama still waiting for another alternator? plus i'm still waiting for the skyview roof to be replaced!!

While traveling on highway heard a thumping noise. Left front tire tread separated from vehicle.goodyear, wrangler #rts,p24575r16. Dealership was aware of problem.

The contact owns a 2008 mazda 3.the vehicle has goodyear all weather tires, size p205/15r17 (na).while driving 25 mph, the front passenger side tire blew out.the dealer stated that they were not responsible for the tires and accused the contact of striking something with the vehicle.the dot number was unknown.the current and failure mileages were 3,526.

While traveling about 30mph onhighway and without prior warning right rear tire tread separated from vehicle.goodyear, eagle, p22560r16 97t, made in canada.

The contact owns 1999 ford e-350 equipped with runway enduro ht tires, line sizes lt225/75/r16. The contact stated that after inspecting the driver side rear outer tire she noticed that it had become deflated. The tire was taken to a tire shop who stated that cracks had developed in the tire walls and the steel belt separated. The failure mileage was 73,000.

I have had two of the tires that came with my new vehicle have the treads separate. They are model goodyear, p22560r17. One tire separated in february and was replaced by the dealership and the second one on august 20, 2008.

I had a blowout on i-75 in lexington ky.went to walmart to get tires.when i got to charlotte nc i went to the toyota dealership to have my remaining back two tires checked.he said they were defective.the tires were original equipment on my 2008 prius.the tire information is 15" p185/65r15.

The contact owns a 2006 toyota corolla.the contact took the vehicle to the dealer for an inspection.the toyota dealer stated that the tread on the two front goodyear tires was worn.other than the tires, everything else on the vehicle was normal.the tires were replaced at dobbs tire company.the dot number was unknown.the current and failure mileages were 17,000.

My tire went flat while driving, when i realized what had had happened and found a safe place to pull over about a quarter mile later, by that time the tire had split completely around the entire tire on the outside and the inside. Thank goodness this happened just as i was merging on to the interstate, and i wasn't going very fast at the time.i was told later by the tow truck driver that these low profile tires split like that frequently by just driving a short while on it after it blows.i am very fearful of these tires now.(goodyear eagle rs-a225/45r17.i was told my the manufacturer of my car vw that they didn't warranty tires on there cars. The local goodyear dealer told me that this tires didn't have a mileage guarntee, that the tires should go 50,000 miles.my car only had 24,000 miles on it. I am very disappointed in vw and goodyear and these tires.so much for so called performance tires.

The contact owns a 2006 chevrolet impala equipped with good year tire sizep235-50-r18. The dot and serial number were not available. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 mph the front drivers side tire thread separated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.

Dt*:the contact stated while the vehicle was at the dealer for routine maintenance, the mechanic noticed a tread separation problem on the front driver side tire.the contact was referred to the tire dealer and upon inspection the tire dealer determined the tread separation was related to impact damage.but, the vehicle was never involved in an accident or other type of impact.the tires had been regularly rotated every five thousand miles as recommended by the manufacturer.the tire was replaced with a like tire by the tire dealer.the failed tire was a good year, integrity, p185/65/r15.

The valve stems on my tires are causing constant low tire pressure, to the point that one of my tires now has a hole in the side wall. The dealership will not help, and i have under 12k miles on it. I've been there 4 times for this problem and it has not been resolved!

Rubber tire valve stem cracked. Tire deflates. Has occurred so far on 3 of 4 tires purchased in october 2006. Failures occurred in march 2008, july 2008 (twice). In all three cases, valve replaced by tire dealer.
