Rt frount lower controll arm assembly- from mileage of approx. 63000 to present, 112,000, the lower controll arm assembly has had to be repalced 3 times and retorked 1. I also had to pay for realignment at each repair. Now after the 3rd replacement the car shimmies and pulles to the left, which it did not do before repair. The dealer more or less told me too bad. One of the repairs was not done by ford there for not reliable. This car has a file 2 inches thick from maintenance and repairs. There still isn't any expaination of what is causing the problem.

Tread separation,d10l dotpdmo imgi 1300 09r dot pdmo imhr 1300details - i purchased the two tires shown above on 7/7/2000 to replace two of the original tires. I still have the two bum goodyear tires in my garage. This was on a 2000 toyota siena minivan with only 9,916 miles. I purchased it new. On 8/9/2001 with 28,923 miles i had the tires rotated, but the technician could not balance them. He showed me where the tread of both tires was separating from the body. Driveline/transmission slips and clunks when accelerating on 2004 f150 4x4.requency: intermittentrought into 2 different dealers and both said could not duplicate therefore could not fix.consequences of failure: if happens while accelerating into merge traffic or intersection could cause loss of power to vehicle.

While driving on any surface, my 4wd manual transmission 2003 jeep liberty pulls strongly to the right. It easily goes off the edge of the road, creating the need for an off road recovery. Dealer rotated the tires, but said that the wheels were aligned properly after an accident, an all wheel alignment was completed but it still pulls severely to the right. To add insult to injury, when applying the brake in the rain or on a wet surface, the tires skid and do not properly slow the vehicle down, so trying to manipulate the vehicle to not skid off the right side of the road into the ditch is difficult without being in at least partial 4wd--and that doesn't even help occasionally.

Purchased 2001 pontiac grand am gt new november 2000.six months later metal to metal grinding noise and vibration in front - dealer stated rotors warped and replaced under warranty.six months later front brake pads replaced to same condition - rotor turned.six months later another set of front brake pads.still have grinding noise especially at speed under 30 mph-especially bad when turning.front tires constantly losing air. The left rear tire on my dodge caravan blew out and ripped while driving on the interstate. This was a scary situation because had there been a lot of traffic there would have been a serious perhaps fatal accident.this is the second tire to have been damage within two weeks.i believe the tires are defective.i would like an investigation done.i also don't feel safe driving this car for fear of an accident involving bad defective tires.i also would like to have my tires replaced at no cost to me because the damage was not may fault.please help me resolve this problem.

Goodyear fortera hl b07, p275/70r16 tires recommended and installed at boy-rad goodyear for a lexus lx470 caused an unstable and unsafe ride.these new tires were independently balanced and rotated several times without resolving stability issues.seeking refund from goodyear, expect to replace with another brand.

On feb 28, 2004, driving on i-10 from louisiana to houston, first heard a pop noise, then immediately felt loosing control of wheel, tried to hit breaks to slow down the car, and then my 3 years old ford focus flipped over, and thanks god nobody got injured, and everyone was wearing a seat belt.checked the car, the tread on the right rear tire(good year) lookedripped off, assume this tire blew or exploded during the drive on highway, which is very serious situation. Insurance is still investigating the case.but more ridiculously the la police gave a ticket for 'can't maintain the car".we got 4 new tires for only about 2 months, everything is in good maintenance, and there was no driving fault or other accident associated with my accident, plus we were the victims of this tire explosion, we almost lost of life during the deadly flip over.the insurance is doing the investigating about tires, we don't have much to complain, but it may take a while to deal with goodyear then. Now for this 170$ ticket, 5 hours drive from my home in mississippi, what we should do to deal with the la police? i feel like they should ticket goodyear instead of innocent victims like us, but 5 hours driving to court is really annoying especially we are still driving a rent car during this moment. Is there anywhere we can discuss this police manner except 5 hours driving to la court? frustrated car ownerlingyun jin sun.

Rubbing noise when at low speeds and stopping appears to be coming from front end. Took to dealership they statedthere wasa recall on the tires and could only replace 2 of the tires. Problem will return when tires rotated per manufacturers specifications. Requesting all tires be replaced.

I was driving on the freeway at 70mph when i heard an explosion and my car began to vibrate.i pulled over to the shoulder and saw that my right front tire had blown out.i did not hit anything on the road nor was my tire punctured.several people who looked at the tire said the blowout was caused by a structural defect.3 weeks before this incident, i had the tires inspected and properly inflated by the tire dealer where i had purchased them.the tires were supposed to last 40,000 miles but i only got 24,000 miles out of the defective tire. The tire is a goodyear club dot # 7ue8 0y62 1700 (size 185/70r/13 - 86t) i am concerned because this tire failed without warning and i am now worried about the other 3 goodyear club tires that i have remaining on my car. I am a conscientious and responsible driver (i have my tires rotated regularly and properly inflated) and i was shocked when this blowout happened. I believe these tires are defective.

Dear sirs, i have attaches a copy of the note i sent to goodyear rubber company in regards to the tires on my vehicle. It sounds suspiciously like a problem that firestone had and may result in accidents. I thought i would let you know as well for your database. I have 3 out of 4 goodyear wilderness tracker tires that are factory tires on my dodge dakota that have 2-4 inch splits on the sidewall next to the bead. Some are on the outside but some are on the inside sidewall. The goodyear dealer offered me 40 $ off a 120$ replacement tire . The tires have 27,000 miles on them. Not only is that unacceptable for an obviously defective tire but i did not want more of the same tire. I discovered this problem as i had 2 rear tires going flat with no foreign objects in the tread. The goodyear rep stated that he had seen this problem before so it is obviously a manufacturing defect and is unsafe. While i doubt goodyear will offer me any reimbursement i thought you should be aware of the problem and i will be contacting dodge and the nhtsa with my concerns as well . It would be quite disastrous if the tire separated from the bead while at interstate speeds. Tim fultz....*nlm

Front tire blew out, lost control of jeep and crashed into wall

The tires have 40000 miles on them. They are the factory tires and the tread came off as i was driving and done damage to the truck not sure of exact amount will be getting estimates tomorrow . It was the driver side front i have pictures of tire and damage and also of the other 3 tires and still have the tire that failed

Dear nhtsa;below is correspondence with goodyear tire company. I have had problems with the dunlop rover touring gt tire number pn p22570514 as detaled below. I do not have further tire information since the vehicle is in the united states but i can obtain it as necessary. Thank you, mark devries*la3 october 2003dear sir:on 6-22-01 i purchased 4 dunlop rover touring lt tires for my 1992 aerostar van, milage 108,098 at sears eagle ridge mall, lake wales fl. On 8-6-03, the vehicle (138,690 miles) was returned to sears eagle ridge because the right front tire was separating from the tread. A new dunlop rover touring lt was mounted.on 8-12-03 my family were on the florida turnpike when they suddenly heard a "thump, thump" from the right rear similar to the sound heard the previous week with the separated tire. This time the tire exploded and my wife barely managed to control the vehile while steering the van to the side of the turnpike. I have digital pictures of the exploded tire and my van. My family continued to louisiana where they departed for indonesia where we are resident with chevrontexaco, leaving the van with my daughter who attends university in lafayette, la.i think the original dumlop tires are defective and are unsafe. How else do you explain one blowout and one potential blowout within 300 miles. I have instructed my daughter to only use the van within town and not to use it on the highway or exceed 50 mph. I do not feel the remaining tires are safe and am very concerned that they also may suddenly fail. The number given above is for my parents home. I can email with pictures of the exploded tire and scanned copy of the exploded tire replacement purchase. I am also mailing a copy of this email and supporting documents to goodyear corporate headquarters.i intended to take care of this sooner but did not receive copies of the exploded tire until recently.thank you, mark [email protected] october *la

I purchased a 2004 ford 150 4 wheel drive crewcab. Living in oregon we have snow during the winter.when i attempted to purchase chains for this vehicle i was told they would not fit.when i contacted fords customer relations i was told i should have read page 276 of the owners manuel prior to purchase so i know own a $41,000 4 wheel vehicle that can not be driven in the snow. Fords attitude was so what!

Bad set of tires. I bought this car new and have been having problems with it making a noise. I am a woman so i thought it was coming from the rearend of the car. I kept taking it in andhaving it checked and the dealers said it wasn't the rear end of the car. Finally they found what was making the noise, the tires have bumps and lumps on them, the tires aren't even round.i have tried since november to get gm to honor the warrenty on the car and replace the tires and have recieved nothing but a run around. They were suppose to let me know something dec. 21st but i have not heard anything from them. The tires are not safe and were not any good to begin with. You cannot rotate the tires and they are suppose to be rated for top speeds and go for a 100 thousand miles. I am sacred to drive anywhere on the tires and i don't believe i should have to spend 2 thousand dollars to replace the tires when they weren't any good to begin with. I have already paid for tires when i bought the car and they should have been good.i have been tryng to find out what the problem was for a year but they didn't find it until this past nov. This is when i contacted gm. I don't want to have a wreck because of these tires and i can't afford another car at this time. I love the car but i want some dependable tires on it. I remember the problems with the firestone tires causing wrecks.these tires are goodyear run flat tires 18 inch in the rear and 17 in the front. The car is under warrenty, can you help me get the chevy divison to honor it?

I own a 2000 pontiac grand am gt, and i am completely frustrated with the lack of response to all of the grand am's problems. There is a grinding/rubbing noise coming from the front of car. I was told it needed new rotors and pads....well i have done that twice now within the last 4 months, and still the noise is there. Then i was told it was the transmission....replaced that and the noise is still there. Now i have found out by all of the other hundreds of complaints on this car that the noise is more than likely faulty goodyear tires. When i called local pontiac dealer they told me that there was nothing that could do without charge because of no recall on the tires. I am to my boiling point with this car and something has got to be done by pontiac.*nlm

Goodyear tires:i purchased a 2002 dodge dakota in june, 2002.from day 1, i had trouble steering.after 3 trips to the dealer, i learned today that the goodyear tires were defective.i was told to immediately get new tires.the goodyear dealer was unresponsive to my need. It was obvious that he did not want to deal with defective tires.i went immediately to a michelin (sp) dealer and purchased 4 new tires.the michelin folks could insert a car key fully inside splits that were in my tires.i found news reports of abc investigating goodyear but obviously this is not getting to the public, either through the media or dealers.no incident but only because i took the truck in for an oil change and again complained about difficulty keeping the truck on the road.this complaint is sent in hopes that an investigation will start.i was told that the tires were from a "bad batch". How many tires are in a batch and where are the other tires?please respond and let me know the appropriate actions to take.i was most fortunate because i drive 70 mph on interstate-10 daily.the oil change may have prevented an accident and perhaps my life.respectfully, patricia hunter

While driving on the highway at about 40 mph, the drivers side front tire blew out.upon inspection of the tire, there was no hole or damage to the tread area but there was a hole in the outer side wall.it did not appear that the side wall hit anything. The consumer did not remember hitting anything.the consumer did not lose control of the vehicle.the vehicle remained stable.the only indication the tire blew out was a vibration.

Purchased 4 tires from goodyear called the "cub" in march. At the beginning of sept., the tires are 6 mths old.incident #1: beginning of september; tire#1 tread split apart.incident #2: tire #2 tread splits apart.per goodyear's replacement policy, if the tire is less than 25% worn or one year old (whichever comes first) the tire will be replaced free of charge.both tires were six months old when the tread split.the second tire split a few days after the first. The first tire was replaced, goodyear charging for balancing only.when we took the second tire in, we were told that these tired had been "discontinued" and would no longer be replaced free of charge.they would, however, be happy to "upgrade" the tires for an additional charge. We were handled deceptively with these tires. What we want is to know that we will not be part of the statistics of fatalities with faulty tires such as with the previous goodyear incidents.we commute to and from san marcos ocassionally, and want to rest assured that we will see our loved ones at the end of the day.what we are requesting is not unreasonable.we would like tires that are reliable and safe. We paid for these tires and installation in march of 2003 and expect products and services to be rendered as paid for.upon contacting customer service representative, only identifying herself as "mary" by her choice, said that if we wanted tires they would have to prorate them.nothing else could be done.two tires remain on our vehicle.in explaining the situation, concerned with our safety, asking what could be done in the event that we have the same problem (with treads splitting) or with an accident with the remaining tires, what could be done?"mary" replied, "file a claim with your car insurance" we would like to get the tires replaced or have our money refunded so that we can seek and find "safe" tires for our vehicle.please contact me for more information.

Goodyear 215-70-r15 allegra tires purchased at sams club purchased appx 2 yrs ago. Appx. 14 months ago and then last week had 2 tires replaced due to belt seperations. Mechanic at sams indicated that this particular type of tire is in his shop frequently due to belt failures. I have replaced 4 tires already and there is only 20,000 miles on the set. I am concerned due to the frequency with just myself and the indicated volume of the problem indicated by the sams club mechanic. The belt seperation did not cause an accident but did lead to control difficulty due to extreme vibration as all failures occured on the front. These tires were routinely rotated and balanced, kept at 35 p.s.i. And were not severly used or abused. The vehicle they were on is a 1995 ford windstar lx.
