Possible axle defect on a 2001 land rover se7.

On 12/27/2008 went across rr tracks at 25 mph had a frt tire blowout. Upon further inspection discovered tire splitting apart on the inside wall of all four tires near the rim. Out of site of a visual inspection unless tire is off. 23,000 miles on 07 ford spt track. Way too soon to have to replace all four tires. Also believe this is a tire defect and could have been much more serious if i had been traveling at higher rate of speed. Took tires to ford dealer and goodyear no help or very much concern. Im concerned that there are other drivers out there with these tires and they should be notified of the splits that are occurring and have their tires inspected asap before someone gets hurt or worse. If other drivers tires are splitting like mind did then the tires should be replaced asap. And i should be compensated for having to purchase 4 brand new tires so soon. I also have kept the tires as proof of my complaint. Thank you

While driving on the highway, the tire blew up due to a nail embedded in the tire.the tire was ripped away from the rim.the spare was placed on the vehicle and then driven to the dealer where the truck was purchased. The tire was deemed defective as a nail embedded in the tire should not cause it to rip away from the rim.

I was heading to california from el paso, texas on the 13th of may, 2009.we drove to blythe, california and stayed the night. We didn't want to drive throughout the night. The next morning we headed to torrance, california. Within 50 miles out of blythe, my back right tire had blown out. We heard a hugh loud noise when it blew out.i lost control of the 2008 jeep cherokee with only 9000 miles immediately. I finally got control of the vehicle and pull over to the only area that was possible. My brother in law was following me in front and my good friend behind me.they all saw and heard the blow out. I had my wife and two boys in the car.i am so lucky i got control of the jeep.if i would of hit the break immediately i feel that we could of easily had a roll over. The tires were all in great condition. The blow out took out my right bumper. I am a registered nurse and have worked in the er and have seen many roll overs.i was afraid for my family and myself. I have also have witness a roll over myself.

I bought new fratera tires (4 in all) on 10/14/05, and was given an 80,000 mile warranty.my vehicle had 61,084 miles when they were purchased.the vehicle now has approximately 86,520 miles and the tires had to be replaced yesterday (8/3/08).two of the tires were at the limit for being legal on the road.these tires has less than 26k miles and they had to be replaced.my driving habit is not to slam on the brakes, nor is it to spin the tires to where excess rubber is laid on the pavement.i don't even drive very many miles--less than 26k in almost 3 years!!!

Within approximately one week in august, i've had two faulty tire valve stems cause low tire pressure and necessitate a trip to the dealer for repairs.these were on the same side of the car (right front and right rear).i park in a carport and the right side of my car is the more exposed side.the mechanic identified the problem by pressing sideways on the tire stem and hearing the air hiss as it escaped.this seems to be the cracking problem that i've read about in consumer reports magazine.i approached the dealer about fixing the others so that i would not have a crisis later.they pulled up a report based on the vin and since there were no official recalls, they would not fix them.i called ford customer relations on september 10, 2008 to file a complaint.i spoke to a representative who identified herself as jamie.her response was even more frustrating as she appeared to be giving me scripted answers: no recalls on my car, we don't fix things that aren't broke.apparently safety issues are not a consideration.i returned to the dealer who sold me the car and he fixed rest of my tires at no charge to me.

Possible axle defect on a 2001 land rover se7.

Bough a set of goodyear fortera, p275x70r16 in 2004.had a flat tire about 2 weeks ago.went to the goodyear tore to have it fixed.note....very easy driver and drive like grandpa.have 1/2 tread still left.tires are not rotting...car garaged.goodyear service man found several large cracks at the tire....he told me that he had never seen this before.have a road hazard warranty.when he called goodyear, they wanted him to return the tire directly.they were concerned about this unique defect.i know there is another tire on the car with the same condition.i did not buy any tires from goodyear.i refused to give the tire back to the manufacturer as they could hide a safety defect.now scared to take car on freeway.then took it to discount tire here in houston tx..they checked out the tire;and told me the tire could not be fixed and was unsafe to ride on. Due to the cracks in the tread.i've never had any tire do this to me and i'm 62/yr.have had plenty of tires in my life.i offer the tire to nhtsa as i'm sure you would want to see theactual defect.oh, i have written you recently about runaway acceleration with a toyota earlier in the decade.toyota must be distorting the recent news about lack of finding about the issue.don't trust those people.i was real and had to replace the car.dangerous in city traffic....never had the problem on the road...only city driving.name is [xxx] .important.....mentally disabled and on ssdi.under the terms of theamericans with disabilities act as amended on 1/1/2009.....please respond by phone or written letter.reading skills are very poor these days.would like a prompt reply within 30 days plus. I am guaranteed a quick reply according to the department of justice in washington dc.any questions...check with the justice department, ada section in dc.phone numbers are [xxx] thank you[xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

I purchased 4 goodyear tires in oct 2006,i have a 2006 jeep liberty sport,i have less than 15,000 miles on these tires,i was told by the goodyear store manager that these tires are prematurely wearing, i ask what could be done to satisfy this and was told in a letter by goodyear that i would have to bring in the jeep and all 4 tires would have to be removed from the jeep and be sent to goodyear for further evaluation, i asked how am i going to get my jeep home and i was told that i would have to purchase tires, i explained that i am a disabled veteran and i couldn't afford to just pick up and buy 4 new tires, i am only asking for replacement tires.

Corroded and snapped tpms valve cap.

Tire valve stems leaking causingconstant low tire pressure.

Approximately, two months ago, a valve stem on my jeep tire was corroded and the tip cracked off, causing the sensor to go off on the dash and it was not able to have air put in.i replaced the valve stem at a cost of approximately $80.00.just this past week, the same thing happened on another tire...the top of the valve stem cracked off and i am not able to put air in the tire. I'm sure it's only a matter of time until the same thing happens with the other valve stems on the other two tires.

The "service tire pressure system" light comes on.i have brought the car back to the dealer 7-8 times for the same problem and have complained to jeep.i bring it in for service and they perform whatever new fix they conjure up and it sometimes will stop for a week or two then come right back on, it once came back on while driving home from the dealer.i also have a friend with the same vehicle who has the exact same problem.the tire pressure system has read faulty tire pressures as well that come and go and can change dramatically in just 5 minutes.i am currently driving on my spare due to a low pressure reading and when i went to put air in my tire, i tried to unscrew the plastic on the valve and half the valve crack off.i now have the spare on and while a portable tire gauge reads 35 the tire pressure system in the car reads 19.
