My 2007 commander, recently keeps alarming me service park assist while lighting up all the drive boxes, while im driving.when it does this i cannot give the car gas so i have to pull over, shut the car off and turn it back on.its been doing this on and off for the past couple of months.usually the check engine light comes on, i will take it to the repair shop and when they hook it up to the tester, it doesn't tell them anything is wrong and they manually shut the check engine light off.the latest incident i was driving on the turnpike and it did this, i was terrified because my two kids were with me and i had to cut over three lanes, pull off and shut the car down and restart it.today all the drive options were boxed in while i was driving but the engine light never even came on, it just wouldn't let me gas and i had to do the same thing pull over, shut off and restart.my tires are also showing up for low pressure, and the tire dealer told me the tires on this model are known for small holes around the outside ring of the tread, which of course cannot be filled.
1. Normal highway drive home, heard a "pop" in right rear of suv.about 5 miles after "pop" right rear begins to smoke.pulled over and called aaa.purchased the tire about 11 months ago.2. Occurred once.3. Had to replace the tire. Was told considered a road hazard, and not covered under limited mileage warranty.isn't this a defect?
The tires on my vehicle have less than 30,000 miles and i had a big blowout on the freeway!. They also have caused false low tire pressure alerts to register on my suv. There had been no previous flat tires, no warning, nothing. The tire instantly went flat and i had to rush to park on the side of the freeway to avoid collision. The repairman whom was changing my tire could not find a cause nor reason for the problem. The tread was barely worn, yet there was a long slit on the outer wall of the tire! there is no way possible for a slit to just appear while traveling on the freewaywith no apparent reason. There was no debris on the roadway at all!!! i am completely lost at the cause of the flat and no one would cover the repair. Did i mention the price of one tire averages over $200 and that doesn't include the other fees and taxes associated with purchasing a new tire.
The contact's wife owns a 2015 chevrolet traverse equipped with goodyear fortera hl (p) tires, size: p225/65r18 (na). While driving 80 mph, the low tire pressure indicator illuminated. The vehicle then shuddered and the contact felt the rear driver's side of the vehicle drop as the vehicle swerved. The contact pulled over and saw that the rear driver's side tire blew out.the tires were the original tires. The tire was replaced. The approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 28,000.
Goodyear fortera hl p245/65r17 dot m78t ccdr 5012, 15,000 miles, complete sidewall disintegrated. All the way around. Another tire shows sidewall cracking. Blowout at 50 mph.
I drive a 2011 honda pilot.it was purchased new.on the morning of june 7, 2011, a family member discovered that the vehicle, which was in the driveway of the house, had a flat in the front, driver-side tire.the vehicle was placed on a flat bed and taken to a local mechanic.upon inspection, the mechanic noted that there was a puncture to the sidewall of the tire which should not be repaired. A replacement tire was purchased and the old one was discarded. I speculated that road hazard may have caused the puncture, so did not think much about filing a complaint.the tire had about 6,183 miles on it the time of the incident.on the evening of june 17, 2011, as i was driving along the tappan zee bridge (connecting rockland and westchester counties) in new york, the tire warning indicator went on.upon my arrival at home (about an 8-minute drive from the bridge), i noticed a hissing sound coming from the rear, driver-side tire and immediately concluded that the tire was deflating.the following morning the tire was flat.after installing the spare, i took the tire to a goodyear dealer. Upon inspection, the mechanic noted that there was a puncture to the sidewall of the tire which should not be repaired, which was the same issue discovered with the front, driver-side tire. I replaced it with a new tire. The tire had approximately 6,500 miles on it the time of the incident.this time i filed a complaint since it was highly coincidental that two tires would fail within a 10-day period with the same fact pattern.i suspect that the vehicle came installed with at least two tires that had weak sidewalls.
