I currenty own a 2003 dodge durango, which i purchased new in nov 2003. This vehicle has been trouble from day 1. I've had the brakes replace 3 times, due to pulsating and pulling from the front end. It has been in the shop twice for clicking & popping noises coming from the front end which dealer claimed on both occassionsthey could not find.dealer keeps stating normal wear and tear, when it comes to brakes which i don'tcomprehend since i've owned new veh before and have never had to replace the brakes 3 times within a year. I've paid for 2 high speed wheel balances, and the dealer had the nerve to threaten me with the fact that if vehicle was returned again for brakes i would have to pay. Also recently the windshield wipers malfunctioned and woud not come on or shut off on command. Ofcourse at the time i needed them to visually see the road since it was raining. I clicked on my right signal in order to get off the roadonce i saw the malfunction occuring only to have the windhshield wipers make an attempt to start working.i've kept a log of every repair shop visit and lack of repair finding based on dealer ends. Chrsyler needs to recall this vehicle i've never owned a vehicle with so many problems.

The consumer has experienced the following:tread separation(tires)/the outside tires cupped, more wear on the center, 3-4 tires had shown a sign of separating cords, the driver seat back is worn, unspecified bad remote, and the speaker would drift away then come back again.the consumer seeks reimbursement for the defective tires.sccph

I bought this car in november 2003, in april of 2004 i started to have problems with the brake making noises.the car went into the shop and they replaced the driver side caliper and replaced front brake pads. In june of 2004 the car went back in for the same brake noise the shop resurfaced my rotors and replaced a missing brake clip. In july the car went back into the shop for the same brake noise again, the shop replaces the brake pads again and resurfaced the rotors again. It is now october and the noise is still there!in july 2004 the car went back into the shop for a knocking noise coming from the front end.the strut mounts were replaced. Again in july the car went back in for the same front end noise.the shop replaced the steering rack which did not fix the problem so they put the old one back in.they then replaced the right front strut and lower control arm.the noise was not fixed.in october they replaced the stabilizer shaft isolators and also replaced the two front tires due to a bulletin. Also in october they lubed all front end parts.with all the problems i decided to call to call gm themselves, sadly not much has been done though!

The rear tire has blown when hitting a pot hole at low speed (approximately 5 mph), causing damage to the emergency brake lining. Tire had to be replaced at my cost.emergency brake lining must be replaced at my cost.

Incident-2005 dodge dakota, severe vibrations in rear of truck. So far dealer has changed 11 goodyear eagle ls & 8 wheels and vibration still there.dealer advises that cannot change brand if tires without dodge permission. Awaiting permission.the vibration is a safety problem as the rear end of truck will hop around on rough or poorly maintained roads. I have driven 5 separate 2005 dakota's and the same problem occurred on all 5 trucks. Dealer response is they all do it, so it is not a problem. Also, second concern is the positioning of the 2 headrests in rear seating area as they reduce rearward vision by 25%. It would require a major dis-assembly of the inside back of truck to remove. They are not needed when the rear seats are removed.

Needed new front and rear brakes 26k miles, no warning squeak just metal to metal grind. Which means not only pads but rotors as well. Dealer said normal to replace front and rear brakes 25k miles.

Severe shimmy at speeds above 30 mph. Car is two years old with 18k and has only been serviced by the dealer. Was told by dealer that it needed tires rebalanced. Had tires rebalanced at 18,197 miles. 21k problem got worse, was told by dealer goodyear tires were no good and needed brake rotors turned. Pads were fine, metallic pads cause rotor warpage in just a few miles. Repair estimate on a two year old car is $495.00. No warranty on brakes or factory tires.

There is a vibration in the steering wheel of this vehicle,it is very noticeable when making a turn and the wheel is returning between the 11:00 and 1:00 position.also when driving around town, speeds no more than 55 mph, the steering wheel will shake.dealer has rotated and balanced tires, and match mounted.i went to goodyear and paid for them to do the same.the vibration still exist.i just picked the vehicle up from the dealer today,10/21/05, and the vibration is still there and i picked up the vehicle and the interior was full of grease, on the door and drivers side rug.

2002 mercury villager has vibration in steering wheel at speeds above 10mph.dealer has tried 3 times to fix and even replaced 2 of the 4 tires.still the vibration.repair shop other than the dealer suggested switching brands of tires because after they aligned the front end they rotated the tires to try to isolate the vibration problem only to find that the rotation nullified the alignment.hard for me to believe that with all the villagers manufactured i'm the only one with this problem.

I have a 1999 chrysler 300m.on july 23, 2005 i was informed by the local chrysler dealership that the rack & pinion was badly rusted, and that one of the rods was completely broken!this car only had 62,000 at the time and was not used a a commuting car, and was treated very well.simply put, this should not have happened, given the age of the car and it's use.in addition, the service manager that i dealt with said that they had seen several 300m's come in with the exact same problem.i do not live in a climate where we get snow, thus no salt on the roads, and i am not near the ocean.based on this, as well as discussions with the dealership, it appears that this is a defect, one that cost me $2300, conveniently 1 month after my warranty expired.also, according to the dealership, the rusting occurred over a long period of time and would have affected tire ware.this explains why i went through 4 tires in the past year.luckily, this problem didn't cause me to get into an accident, but this potentially could end up being life threatening for someone else!

The hvac (temperature control panel) started fading in and out, and then eventually went blank. Seems to work fine. But cannot tell wether the defrost etc. Is set at and what temperature the heat or air is set at. Took to dealer, was told would cost $600.00 to fix.i also have trouble with water coming into the car on the front passenger side on floor.have been told that it may be draining in from up under windshield washers. Also, had to replace all four eagle ls tires. I had terrible vibration, took into shop and were told that they were unsafe to drive.

- the contact stated that he had goodyear eagle tires, 205/55 r16 eagle ls.at 31,000 miles the car was pulling to the left, and he took it to a dealer and found that the belts on the tire separated, causing the tread to shift.the contact stated that at 41,000 miles the back of the car beganswaying sideways to the left and right, and it wasdeterminedthat the belts on the tire separated again.the contact stated that the tread was fine, the belt in the tire wasfaulty. The vehicle had a slight oil leak. The dealer replaced transmission solenoid pack. Updated 03/19/07.

Since day one have had a "wobble" in front end. Steering wheel moves back and forth. Feel vibration through floor board. This at 35-40 mph. No "wobble" or vibrations at higher speeds. Tires rotated and front end balanced three times. No help. Dodge dealer no help. They said it was the goodyear tires and to replace them with michelin. Will be looking into front axle or driveline problems next.

I purchased my 2003 dakota quad cab 2wd in early january of 2004.it has approximately 21k.signs of the steering making a creaking sound when being turned were first noticed at approximately 8000.it is more pronounced when entering an elevated street or a driveway, while making the turn.i believe the same defective steering components utilized in the 4x4 dakota also apply to the 2wd versions.i would like the initiative be taken to include the 2wd dodge dakotas in the recall as well.my truck has not yet been serviced, but if study information is required, such as an analysis of the joint, i am willing to volunteer my vehicle for such a study if it would help in moving forward with the recall.

Complete loss of traction - spin out at 30mph while other cars passed me by normally. Felt like the rear end just could not stay on the road. Crawled 100 miles to the airport at 30-35mph with constant loss of traction most of the way on a moist highway. Car kept wanting to turn sideways. Tires looked good and still do. Tried shutting the trac on/off, no change either way. Could not keep the car straight on the highway as the rear end kept sliding all over the place.i feel like the traction control was locked in either the on or off position or, the emergency brake was on. Scary. This happened in southern oregon, car was purchased in souther california. Dealer in or won't look at, since i can't reproduce effect.

Tires can not be balanced to eliminate wheel shimmy.wheels and tires from another pt cruiser eliminated the problem.dt

Nissan & goodyear monopoly on 2004 quest tires. It appears that nissan contracted with goodyear to produce an oem proprietary 225/65/16 tire that only goodyear carries and only in one style. When replacing the tires consumers have little choice but to go with that tire or go with a non manufacturer recommended size like 235/60/16 which could cause issues such as speedometer readings off... As far as i can determine only nissan quests use this 225/65/16 tire. Tread wear on the goodyear oem tire is very poor causing an earlier than expected replacement of the tires. I have found nokian a finish tire that is sold in the usa also produces this size tire.the price is the same but the tire is a much better quality.i'll never purchase another nissan or goodyear product.

Tires will not maintain inflation apparently due to rim material.multiple cleanings and resealings have not resolved the problems.new tires have not resolved the problem.new valve stems have not resolved the problem.inflation decreases typically 10 to 12 psi in a week period on front tires.slower on rear tires. This has been ongoing for over two years.

On 5-25-05 my right rear tire blew up on my 6 months old, 9700 miles nissan murano going uphill at 65 mph on interstate 80.caaa came and took me to a goodyear tire dealer 5 miles away.they do not have the tire.the dealer called up 5 goodyear tire dealers within 40 miles radius and all of them do not have it but can get it the next dayauburn nissan has it and i got it replaced there.5-31-05, i called nissan usa customer relations and they told me to call goodyeargoodyeay supervisor said that i must have the rest of the tire for inspection and also said that auburn nissan is not agoodyear tire dealer.on 6-13-05 nissan usa asked me to call goodyear again and they said the same thingit is not fair that i have to bear with all these.1.my car is only 6 months old with 9700 miles on it2.my last service was at dorito bros nissan on 3-1-053.i am 120 miles from home and cannot wait for the next day for the new tire from a goodyear tire dealer.4.5 goodyear tire dealers do not have that tire5. Goodyear insisted on inspecting tthe tire and how can i get it when it got separated and roll to the middle of the divider.6. Goodyear insisted that auburn nissan is not a tire dealer.7.nissan usa said that it is not their problem and this ha to do with goodyaer8. Goodyear was not my choice 9.nissan has the fitted when i bought the car10.nissan should be responsible too or negiotiate with goodyear please kindly look into this, thanks tony

Intermitent grinding noise that was determined at huntington beach mitsubishi to be the tire from goodyear ,p205, ls55 r16 89h

Tire flat, has developed "bubbles" in sidewall.rubber appears to be separating from tiresidewall.could result in a blowout. Mr

The contact owns a 2005 chrysler sebring.the vehicle has goodyear eagle ls tires, size p205\60\r16 (na).the contact crashed the vehicle and damaged one of the wheels.he installed a spare tire on the vehicle, which has been in use for six months.he is waiting for the manufacturer to provide the original tire for the vehicle, but it is on back order.the contact has had to refill the tires every week with air.the dot number for each tire was (mgxv)(hmir)(4604).the powertrain was unknown.the failure mileage was 43,000 and current mileage was 53,000.

Purchased a 2008 saturn aura xr fitted with goodyear ls2 p225/50r18 tires. Car/tires has 4,000 miles, noticed a sidewall bulge on one tire..took car to goodyear dealer, manager stated bulge due to high impact damage. I don't know what his definition of "high impact is"? vehicle has never been off road conditions, only normal city driving. Vehicle has never exceeded 45 miles per hour (to date)...never hitting hole/holes to cause damage. Very concerned about quality and/or defects in tire...

On 10/21/06, my wife was driving her nissan quest on the freeway when she suddenly heard the front right side tire blowout.the tire was taken to the goodyear dealership where it was bought, and it was determined that the tire did not receive a puncture that would cause the tire to blowout.the tire was shredded on the outside tire wall, and it looks as if it were cut.it should be noted that the tire was not cut by any sharp object, my wife can attest to this fact because she did not see or notice any damage to the tire before she got into the car a drove away.the only thing that has been done to correct the problem is that the tire was replaced with a same size used tire until this matter is resolved.

In the past 3 years we have had to replace all four tires on our car, and the rear passenger one twice.in total, 5 different times.they all start to have slow leaks and then go flat.they are the only type of tire that can go on the lhs and are quite expensive.

Eagle ls keeps losing tire pressure (about 10psi) every 5-7 days.have went to the mitsubishi dealership 4 times now for the problem and they said to go see a goodyear service center.goodyear says the tire just needs air and it's ok.this cannot be safe if the tire is continually losing air pressure in such a short time frame.

While driving at 50 mph and with no warning,on july 3, both front tires tread separated. Dealer replaced both tires.on july 26, both rear tires tread separated , forcing consumer to pullof the road. Vehicle was towed to the nearest independent shop. Goodyear, eagle ls, size p225/60r16, dot#unknown.

The contact owns a 2005 chrysler pt cruiser equipped with goodyear eagle ls tires, size p205/55/r16. The contact stated that while driving 65 mph, the vehicle shook violently. After inspecting the vehicle, the contact noticed a bubble had developed on the passenger front tire tread. The vehicle was taken to a dealer who stated that the front passenger side tire tread belt was separating and needed to be replaced. The two front tires were replaced. The failure mileage was 30,000 and the vehicle failure mileage was 90,825.

I had a tire failure with a set of good year eagles ls1. The tire had five to six cracks in the inner and outer side wall of the tire causing the tire to deflate. Initially i thought that it was just one tire, but, it ended up being all four tires. I took the tire in to get another one only to be told that the tires were flawed and that i would and or should replace them as they were now a safety hazard. I ended up having to replace all four tires. My question is, at what point does a tire become flawed? and who should bear the cost of replacement. Does someone have to lose a life before we can make these tire companies responsible? i contacted good year and i got the substandard response that i had got a fair price for new tires, after all, they did prorate them. Again, at what point is a tire flawed? and should the consumer have to bear the costs for these corporations?

Vehicle experienced extreme vibration during acceleration. This caused the vehicle to pull to the right while on the road. Manufacturer will be contacted by consumer.both the manufacturer and goodyear dealer were contacted however was not able to help.

While driving 60 mph consumer heard a loud noise coming from the rear.the consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle and pulled over.the consumernoticed that the rear tire had blown out.vehicle was taken to the dealer for inspection. The technician determined that the remaining three tires should also be replaced.

Tire size p2256/60r16;original equipment; while driving the front end of the vehicle will bounce.the bounce worsen when vehicle accelerates to speeds of 40/65 mph. Consumer had tires rotated and balance 3 times, problem still occured.when the consumer had the tires serviced a fourth time, the dealership indicated that all four tire had feathering.the tire tread had separated at the shoulders, the tread depth was 33%. Please include the dot number. Ts

I purchased 4 goodyear eagle ls tires in sept (last year).after 2000 miles, i blew out the sidewall.when getting it repaired, the shop said 2 of the remaining tires showed bulges indicating possible future failure of the sidewall.they blamed it on potholes and would not replace them.

While driving approx. 10 mph in parking lot the consumer was about to make a right turn, but then a noise washeard a noise as if tire was going flat. Theconsumer stopped and checked tires and noticed the right rear tire had developed a crack along the outside tread area.the crack went around entire tread.the other three tires were okay.

10/04 purchased a nissan quest sl minivan.tires on it are goodyear eagle ls2 size 225/65-hr16. Late 12/04 or early 1/05 not able to navigate a 15 degree grade in 3 inches snow. Contacted dealer to no avail. Contacted nissan.told to contact goodyear.goodyear said they would replace the tires with a better tire, but in a different size, as only tire made in the original size was and is a goodyear eagle ls2.this action however had to have blessing of nissan.nissan balked stating if i changed tire size and anything happened that they determined was caused by tire size change, the "warranty" would be void on the vehicle. I was naive and bought this.but all the while, the dealer, nissan and goodyear said they had no such problems with this tire.now two years down the road i find hundreds of complaints regards this issue and more, one of which the tires wear out prematurely, andand "h" rated tire on a minivan is redundant. First time this happened my wife was in heavy traffic.she could have been injured or killed.yet nissan and/or goodyear are not being held accountable for an engineering/design flaw, that needs to be corrected.goodyear should have to manufacturer other tires in this size and in an "h" rating so buyers/owners present and past have a choice when replacing.we can go to a 235/60-16 in a "t" rated tire that has much better ratings than the originals and/or other"h" rated tires in the new size. But dealers and tire manufacturers through collusion are trying to discourage replacing these with "t" rated tires.instead insisting they be replaced with"h" rated tires, that are much more expensive, and have only similar traction ratings with regard to hydroplaning, wet, light and heavy snow that do the originals.the nhtsa should have already been on this like stink on crap, but i fail to see any mention of any such investigation on your web site.come on, doesn't our tax dollars pay for this?

Nissan quest with numerous rattles which have not been located and goodyear eagle ls2 are worn out at 28,000.extreme vibration at 50 mph or above from the tires. Dealership attempted to correct rattles by adjustments however, this was unsuccessful. Dealership denied any problems with oem tires but willing to install my own choice in tires.

On nov. 3rd of this year my son had a blow out with one of the new eagle ls tires. He was pulling into a driveway and hit the curb with his front right tire. He took the tire to a goodyear dealer and told him what had happened. The dealer told him that hitting the curb caused the tire to blow. This tire had only 2341 miles on it and i do not think that hitting a curb while entering a parking lot should cause this tire to blow. This past weekend i was looking over the other tires and found a bulge on the left front tire. I would like to know if you have received any other compliants about this tire. The tire which i am asking about is the p225/55r16 94t s1 eagle ls. Can you please get back to me with any information that you may have on this tire.dt

Purchased a new truck and four days later had a blow out on the right rear tire.i went to a local goodyear dealer and he said the tire was cut (appeared to from loading or unloading during transit).i am absolutely certain i did not run over anything large enough to leave a gash of that size.there was a four inch section that blew out of the tire and goodyear would only offer a discount on a new tire.it appears that goodyear is not concerned about the welfare of their customers, because they will not stand behind their product.

I have 2004 nissan quest, it came with goodyear eagle ls2, the size 225/6516. There is only one company which makes that tire, goodyear. I rotated tire as suggested. The tire traction is lowest one can get. After driving 20,000 miles on the tire started showing severe wear. Bubble showing on the outside wall. Wrote to nissan 3 times, they never bothered me contact me back, called once and told about the tire problem, the answer was we cannot do anything you have to put same time i.e. Goodyear 225/6516. And good year knowing that they only manufacture that size priced that tire is $150+ each, but actually it is worth $39.99.the problem is it is just the monopoly between nissan and goodyear, they could have chosen different size, which will give consumer more choice.

Two goodyear eagle ls tires suffered belt separation within 10 days. The tires were taken to repair shops which diagnosed problem and replaced with new tires. Four tires were purchased from tire rack, and the remaining two tires are still on the auto.

Complaint received via e-mail. Driver's side goodyear tire blew wout, causing a collision and bodily injuries on interstate 94.vehicle spun out of control and hit a concrete median head-on.

The contact owns a 2006 chrysler pt cruiser equipped with goodyear eagle ls tires, size p195/65/r15. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds the steering wheel would shake violently. The contact rotated the front tires from the front to the rear of the vehicle. After the rotation, he noticed that the rear of the vehicle would bounce when driving at various speeds. The contact removed both rear tires and noticed that the tread was separating from the middle of the tire to the outside. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000. The current mileage was approximately 58,000. The vin was not available.

Three of four tires purchased had a belt separation - one lost a sizeable piece of tread.this occurred over a span of three months.

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet impala equipped with goodyear eagle ls tires, size: p225/55r17. While driving at 40 mph, the contact heard a loud popping noise. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the tire was separating. The tires were replaced. The tire was original equipment. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage of the tire and the vehicle was 10,756.

Eagle ls backside right tire blew out separated from thread around whole tire 4 holes in tire speed was 40mph thanks god no rain didn't run over anything the thread separated from around the whole tire with 4 holes no warning tires in great shape.

I went to have brakes serviced and discovered that all four tires have visable tread separations that could result in immediate blowout on any one or all tires.i believe this must be the result of manufacturering defect(s) for all tires to have same tread separations.has this problem with goodyear eagle ls tires been reported in other instances?dt

2007 chevy impala absolutely sucks on any amount of snow. Rear end fishtails left and right as if it has a mind of it's own.absolutely ridiculous and unsafe!!

I own a 2003 ford crown victoria.it came with 4 eagle ls tires.the original tires are over 27 k miles, but the new ones i bought and placed on the front side, have worn from the inside.these new tires simply worn and pulverized inside and blow.so far i have bought 3 tires and the 3 have blow on the sidewall.i'd like to know if there's any recall for this tires that are only 3,414 miles old.

Two patches on passenger side from tire only seem to be showing wear beyond normal use.first patch is 5 3/8" long by 7/8" wide.silver metal fibers are sticking out of the patch and some white fibers are seen around the edge of the patch.patch is oval shaped and located on the outermost tread (part of tread facing away from the car)second patch is 6" long by 1/2" wide with only white fibers showing. No metal is exposed. This patch is located on the inner edge (part facing car/engine) and is oval shaped as well.whole patch is completely on the outer tread as well.both patches are in the same relative location on the tire, however one is on the outer tread and one is on the inner tread. The front passenger side tire is the only tire with this problem. Had treadwear measured by an associate at ntb (national tire and battery co.) and all tires have 4/32 worth of tread on them.alignments and rotations are done "regularly" but do not have the paperwork to prove it. Tires were installed by the manufacturer when car was purchased. Car has 36,000 miles on it. As of now, still driving on the tire, but shopping around to get it replaced soon.

Tires repeatedly go flat. Have bought many new sets and have had rims machined to no avail.

The tires on the car have failed.i have done the all of the scheduled rotations and alingments.the tires "goodyear eagle ls (225/60r16) on my 2001 buick regal are putting my life at risk when i drive everyday for work.i contacted buick and they still are making a determination to replace these failed tires, at 23,900 miles.i believe that gm should of tested these tires before they had made the decision to put them on a quite pricy car.goodyear i believe is at fault for producing such a tire that is a complete failure.i hope that something is done about this problem.

My front left tire, which is a goodyear eagle p225/55r17/sl gdy b01 ls-2 95t0, blew out in three places on the outside of the thread. The incident could have been much worse. I bought my 2013 chevy impala last october. I had my tires rotated last at jimmy gray chevrolet in southaven, ms 38671. I have only 37,000 miles on the car. I feel goodyear owes me a new tire, because of what happened. If they would pay me $140. I will be happy. I will save the tire for evidence, if they wish.

All 4 tires have crack around the bead of tire. Have spent over $500.00 in repairs, alignments, and tire balancing. Problem i think is from the steering response of the vehicle. This model needs upgraded tires.

Tires wore out at 20,000 miles. The tires have uneven wear even with regular rotation.

Purchased 2, goodyear eagle ls, p225/60r-16 tires to replace original goodyear gt's at 27,000 miles on a 2002 impala.after driving on the ls for about a month and extremely dissatisfied with the thumping and boom, boom, boom noises and feel of the ride...., i took them to the tire dealer who said he would put them on the machine that tests for defects.both tires failed the test.the dealer said it was very unusual to have both tires fail.they replaced them at no cost with identical tires. The replacements unfortunately acted the same way. I did not want to go through the testing again, so i just paid to have 2 new michelin hydroedge's installed.of course i could not add 2 new tires to the front of my vehicle with another brand of tire, so i had to purchase another 2 michelins at an additional cost of $251. With the new michelins installed, the ride and handling was beautiful.something is dreadfully wrong with the goodyear eagle ls's.

While driving vehicle hear and feel lump, lump about 10 times and then an explosion.you can feel the tire explode on the bottom of your car and through the steering wheel.

After routine driving i found a large "bubble" or blister on the sidewalk of my goodyear eagle ls 245 40r19 tire.. I have serious concerns for the safety of my family while driving within bubble of over 2 inches long. Something should be done including a recall of these tire as there are a large number of complaints online and is a serious situation.

Goodyear eagle ls tires on a 2007 pontiac grand prix began separating around 24,000 miles, this is all 4 tires according to the service tech at dealership.we took the car in to have the tires looked at, they replaced one for free but will not replace the others of which they say all need replaced.we purchased one for $124.we purchased this car and when it had 10,000 miles on it.

The tire fell apart.the rubber is coming off exposing the steel wall and lifting up around the inside edge of tire.

While driving vehicle hear and feel lump, lump about 10 times and then an explosion.you can feel the tire explode on the bottom of your car and through the steering wheel.

Experienced a flat tire today due to a tire valve stem cracking at the base of my 2005 scion xb.

Almost identical circumstances as in odi 10137234.big o tires aligned my van in oct 2005 and discovered the tread separation.alignment was within spec, except camber or caster on the rear were 0.02 degrees out.they referend me to the dealer. At first, over the telephone, the dealership said it was due to neglet and referred me to an authorized goodyear dealer.goodyear tire dealership discovered tread separation on all 4 tires on my 2004 oldsmobile minivan on the inside edge, under the vehicle.goodyear saw my rotation/balance records and agreed to warrant the tires.this is why all four tires were worn, due to rotaiton every 6-8k miles.they gave me prorated credit based on tread depth remaining.50% for two and 25% for the other two credit.mileage is at 32k.they also explained that we should not drive on them until replaced.of course i replaced them with another model of goodyear.i was concerned that my wife and kids would be killed in an accident (wife's car).big o tire also stated they have heard of tread separation on these exact tires, the ls model, on other vans.i demand that both goodyear and oldsmobile should address this situation for a recall.in addition, full reimbursement is necessary for replacement.this needs to be addressed immediately to prevent possible injury and/or death.

Tires aremaking addnormal thumping sound / dealer and general motors stated that they are aware of the problem but have they will not take corrective action at this time.

2009 kia spectra purchase new from halleen kia north olmsted, oh.tires are completely bald at 16,403 miles.car is 16 months old, driven locally.

I have a 2005 nissan quest that i been taking to the dealer every 3 months for steering wheel vibration. They insist that is the tires, i finally found that is really the tires. Went to the tire shop and they do not want to warranty the tires. I just find out that most of the quest owners are complaining about this tires. I hope you guys help us and other customers about this goodyear nissan mafia. This are the goodyear ls2 tires originally installed by nissan.thanks !!

The contact owns a 2012 chevrolet impala equipped with goodyear eagle ls tires, size: p225/55r17. While driving approximately 70 mph, the front end of the vehicle started to shake. The contact discovered a bulge in the front driver side tire. The dealer stated that the failure occurred as a result of hitting a pothole. The tire had not been replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dot number and vin were unavailable. The approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 50,000.

Nissan & goodyear monopoly on 2004 quest tires.it appears that nissan contracted with goodyear to produce an oem proprietary 225/65/16 tire that only goodyear carries and only in one style.when replacing the tires consumers have little choice but to go with that tire or go with a non manufacturer recommended size like 235/60/16 which could cause issues such as speedometer readings off...as far as i can determine only nissan quests use this 225/65/16 tire. Tread wear on the goodyear oem tire is very poor causing an earlier than expected replacement of the tires.

I have goodyear eagle ls tires on my 2002 ford mustang that keep blowing out on the inside and shredding the tire. In 3 years i have purchased 4 tires and had another blowout last night that shreds the inside of the tire. I had just had this tire checked on the 8th of april and the tire was fine.

Goodyear eagle ls tires sidewall bubbles after driving just a few thousand miles. This is the second tire with a defect that was not caused by any impact.

We purchased a 2004 chevy monte carlo ss @ jim johnson nissan here in bowling green,ky in december of 2006. Since then we have been feeling a "thumping" while driving-no matter what speed. We had taken the car to jim johnson a couple of times, which tires were taken off-balanced and re-balanced and still the same issue. Jim johnson had placed 2 new tires on the front but we are still having the same problem. The tires we have on there are goodyear eagles. We called goodyear consumer ctr. They in turn had us go to a goodyear tire dealer for a tire inspection, upon which they found a "thumping" in the tires. Goodyear consumer center had offered us $58. For each tire replacement towards the warranty. We feel for our safety and others around our car,we shouldn't have to spend any money for replacement of the two tires that are faulty and defective, we feelthat they should replace them at no charge to us for safety reasons and the idea that they are faulty and defective no matter what the warranty claims are. We feel they are not standing behind their product.

Tire is flat in some areas, causing vehicle to wobble.could cause vehicle to have a blowout. Size#18560r15, dot# unknown, please provide. Cause unknown. Dealer notified.

My pontiac 2005 grand prix came with goodyear tires, two of which needed to be replaced after 18,317 miles.the tires were regularly rotated, balanced, and aligned prior to this.

Tire vibration before and after multiple repairs.

The rear tire has blown when hitting a pot hole at low speed (approximately 5 mph), causing damage to the emergency brake lining. Tire had to be replaced at my cost.emergency brake lining must be replaced at my cost.

I have had 15 tire defects requiring replacement of !! tiresin 16,300 miles of driving. These defect result in unsafe driving conditons and possibility of accidents. The tires are not capable of sustaining minor and normal highway conditions. My tires are currently being replaced again. Three bulges on the right front, two of the left front and one on the right rear. These are not do to driving they have resulted in 11 new tires and 15 blowouts, in 16,300 miles. The tires have a design flaw. See internet for complaints> this is a serious safety issue which need investigation.

Dear sir,i recently purchased 2 tires from www.tirerack.com within the last month and had them mounted and balanced by an authorized dealer.last night i had a complete tire failure while on the expressway which could have been fatal.the tire that failed had less than 100 miles on it and was checked the day before for proper tire inflation. This tire failure could have cost me as well as my family, our lives. I will not purchase the same goodyear tire again.the tire that failed was a goodyear eagle ls 275/55/r20 any help with this would be greatly appreciated.thank you!

Outcome of my complaint #769146 dated may 1, 2001.the problems with the chrome wheels was finally resolved when chrysler replaced the front two chrome wheels at 24,000 miles because they were both out-of-round since new, creating the wobble in the steering, uneven steering, vibration and tire wear.i am still awaiting reimbursement for the two new pro-rated (by goodyear) eagle gt tires on the front, as well as awaiting word about a promise to reeplace the two rear eagle gt tires as well. Anyone with the same wheel and/or tire problems can write to me and i will advise you as to what to [email protected]

The front tire on my dodge durango is messed up.it gets stuck sometimes when i'm trying to turn.the shop that i took it to said that the ball joint in the front tire is bad.they told me that they have heard of a lot of durangos that were having the same problems.they also said that my tires are being worn down because of the turn of the wheel.i had to buy a whole new set of tires also.it was very expensive for all the things i had to have done.i saw a website about it so i decided to report mine.something needs to be done before somebody gets killed.please recall these vehicles so the world won't lose any of it's precious life.my kids lives are very important to me, and i don't want to lose them because of a faulty part in my car.please consider the facts about taking huge risks by not getting all these durangos fixed.

Vibration and pulling on highway in speeds above 60mph.had tires rotated/balanced and numerous alignments performed without resolution. Third party inspected tires and found "tread separation" on 3 of the 4 tires.tires exhibited these problems since about 29000 miles and were replaced at 36000.

I purchased goodyear eagle ls tires p225/60r16 they now have 25,000 miles on them and are completely bald. Sams club measured the tread at 0/32. Sams offered me a prorated warranty of $35 per tire, i paid $73. (out the door $184 for 2)they were sold to me as a 50000 mile tire, they are under warranty and wore out at half the warranty. Isn't this a faulty tire? i can't afford new tires again and they are very dangerous for me and my children during the rainy season. I tried to email goodyear but the link does not work. Hummm, i bet they know that. Other people on line said they got no where with them. Please help.shouldn't they have to replace the tire? i see they have many loop holes. How can i get help. I see many complaints on line on this same tire wearing out too early. I don't want to have to check the box that there were deaths or injuries seen below. [xxx]information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6).

On three of the four tires the steel beltsare showing through. Tires were replaced. Technician called tire "bald" from running out of alignment. There were no severe indications of mis-alignment wear. Only one tire failed as described.inspection revealed same belt exposure on two more tires. *ph

1. Front driver side tire flattened on the way to work...i filled it up and proceeded to work and had help changing tire in parking lot.2. All 4 valve stems were leaking on my tires3. Replaced 2 back tires and fixed valves on 2 front tires.

This may not be a nissan exclusive strategy.consider this to be a wake up call and a potential for other "ford-tire supplier" potential upcoming scenario.the goodyear's eagle ls2 225/60/17 ultra high performance are oem and even after following nissan's computerized reminding schedules for tire rotation every 7500 miles, these tires (i have not met an exception yet, go to tirerack.com to mention one source for instance and read these tires' reviews.... Not coincidentally, most of the complaints you'll read are quest minivan owners) are wearing fast and not at same rate (when compared fr to rr..like i said even after proper p.m andtoo fast for average drivers like moms)the laughable matter on all this is that :a) these minivans are driven by moms.b) these minivans per design have ultra high performance tires (like moms are a bunch of street teens or drag racers).c) oem recommended size are extremely hard to find (almost like a well planned monopoly by auto manufacturer and tire supplier) if you go to the optional oem size 225/65/16 you will worsen the already questionable fuel efficiency of this quest vehicle line.d) goodyear laughs at customers like me when bringing my "sooner than expected" tire wear out conditions and they openly admit that they have no idea why nissan required these eagle ls2 to be oem equipment. There are goodyear retailers that don't even adventure on selling them.e) addressing tire warranty issues is a problem that has to be re-invented. Vehicle manufacturerswill not do anything for you as they recommend you to bring it up to certified tire manufacturer retailers...another huge headache for average joe (and a subject for other investigation). I am a ee for one automobile manufacturer, if nhtsa is really interested on protecting the american consumer by enforcing the treat act, please listen to early symptoms like what i am presenting to you here.

Just about every 6 months from when i bought the car, my 17" aluminum wheel rims corroded & oxidize enough to cause heavy flaking that breaks the seal on the tires causing air to leak out. I have come out to flat tires on at least 4 separate occasions.there is nothing wrong with the tires themselves, just the heavy corrosion on the wheels.i have the local tire place take the tires off the rims, scrape the wheels, seal & reinflate the tires just about every 9 months.i've been told chrysler knows about this problem but have never rec'd a recall notice.

The 17-inch chrome rims will not maintain a bead or hold air pressure more than a few days.this vehicle is currently on the 3rd set of tires in 80k miles.due to the constant state of low pressure in the tires, i have experienced premature tire wear on the factory installed tires and the replacement eagle ls tires.the last set of tires had been remounted multiple times with bead sealant from several tire installers and a chrysler service center.proof in the inability of the tire to maintain a bead-seal existed when the vehicle was driven out of my driveway, and during a left-hand turn to enter the roadway, the tire slipped from the rim completely and partially dismounted from the rim, resulting in the rim damaging the tire beyond repair.this incident occurred during a low-speed turn (5-mph) on a tire that was not visibly flat.the air pressure in tires mounted on these rims must be checked almost daily in order to ensure reasonably safe driveablity of the vehicle.

Chrysler crome wheels will not hold air pressure in tires.it is a everyday job to check the air pressure in tires to be sure the car is safe to drive.i have returned to the dealer many times to reseal tire bead and rebalance tires.it is obvious to me that the crome wheels are defective and i fear i may have an accident because of lost air pressure in tires.

The contact owns a 1999 ford taurus equipped with goodyear eagle ls tires, size: p225/60r16. The contact stated that all the tires experienced cracks and leaks. The dealer found no failure with the tires. The tires were not replaced. The tires were replacement tires. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vin was not available. The contact stated that the same failure occurred with the goodyear tires on his 2000 mercury grand marquis. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 152,000 and the tire failure mileage was 20,000. The dot number and vin were unknown.

I bought a 2004 nissan quest in january of 2004. It was purchased new from the dealer.the van had goodyear eagle ls tires.we have had the van a little over six months and have had three blowouts, all occuring on the sidewalls of the tires.the first blowout occurred the first month we had the van. We were on the highway.the second blowout occurred as my wife was pulling up on the curb to park.the third blowout occurred in a parking lot as she was turning a corner.there were four rails on the ground and the tire grazed one and totally blew. This was in a church parking lot at a very low speed.the fourth tire was replaced when we noticed a gouge in the rubber of the tire.we have replaced all four tires with another brand.when we contacted the car dealer, we were told that there were no other reports of problems with this tire and goodyear would not do anything.my wife and i both have impeccable driving records - no accidents, speeding tickets, reckless driving etc.. So this is not a case of negligent driving on our part.

While driving my 2003 dodge dakota pick-up on the expressway my rear left drivers side tire had a blowout.upon stopping and inspection, the tire had a side blowout with only 15,775 miles of wear.this tire came with the vehicle when i purchased it new in april 2004. I did not hit anything on the roadway and was driving thespeed limit of 55mph.i had been driving for about 25 minutes on the expressway when the blowout occurred.i still have the tire and am concerned that this was caused by a defect which caused the side tire blowout

To date 3 of the 4 original goodyear eagle ls2 p225/65r16 tires are separating along the tire wall seam. The tire were original equipment on a 2004 nissan quest with less than 20,000 miles wear. A local retailer is replacing the tires awaiting goodyear's decision for cost. The first indication is that the tire looses air pressure and upon inspection a part can be found along the seam. This is definitely and manufacturing defect.

Goodyear eagle ls tire (p205/55r16) with under 15,000 miles mounted on a pt cruiser and driven on an interstate blew out through the sidewall.driver heard a pop and immediately pulled to the side of the interstate and discovered the blown tire.

Tire sidewall separation on rear tire, passenger side, while traveling on highway. Reported to dealer and tire manufacturer.

The contact owns a 2006 chevrolet tahoe.the vehicle has goodyear eagle ls, size p225/60r16 tires.while driving 55-60 mph, the vehicle alarm sounded, which indicated that the tire pressure was low.the contact pulled into a gas station and noticed that the tire was flat.she went to a tire store and the entire tire was coming apart with a three inch split in the tread in the driver side rear tire.the tire was the original tire that came with the vehicle.the vin and dot number were unknown.the current and failure mileages were 19,700.

Consumer had two tire sidewall failures. The consumer experienced a wobblling sensation a week prior to the sidewall failure being diagnosed.

On the incident date, i was traveling on the freeway at about 78 miles an hour (idaho freeway speed limit is 75).the outside sidewall of the left front tire completely disintegrated causing the tire to come completely apart.it was literally filled with ash from the rubber.the tires are on a 2005 pt cruiser convertible touring edition and had only 19000 miles on them.they have always been maintained with 36 or more pounds of air and the air pressure has been checked much more often than normal due to the fact that they always looked low.i had just checked the air in them two days before.about 15 miles prior to the tire exploding, the car had a very distinct pull to left which i attributed initially to wind load from the side of the car, apparently it was not wind.these tires are a death trap waiting to happen.

Driving and parked car.have complete tire sidewall failure. Car is 2004 dodge neon with original tires with 24,000 mile son them.

Hit pot hole at about 30 mph twice. Developed bubble in sidewall both time, goodyear denied resposibility both times. Car is 2002 cadillac deville dts with 17,100 miles. Had to purchase replacement tire both times. Have tire from last incident.

The rear tire has blown when hitting a pot hole at low speed (approximately 5 mph), causing damage to the emergency brake lining. Tire had to be replaced at my cost.emergency brake lining must be replaced at my cost.

Consumer was driving approximately 40 mph when heard a loud "pop" noise.the right rear tire blew out at the sidewall. Goodyear eagle, ls 225/55r16,dot- m6t4bmer090222,674 miles on tire, original equipment.

All 4 tires have crack around the bead of tire. Have spent over $500.00 in repairs, alignments, and tire balancing. Problem i think is from the steering response of the vehicle. This model needs upgraded tires.

While driving south along i-95 at about 65 mph, i felt a sudden shuddering, i slowed down to determine if it was rough pavement and the rear right side tire blew out.these tires are newly mounted, within the past five months by my ford dealer.i pulled off the road and had aaa remove the tire.upon inspection, there were no punctures to the tread only a blown out sidewall.

Bulge on sidewall of tire. Tire had to be replaced.said to be road hazard.no such problem with other type tires

The contact owns a 2004 ford mustang.the vehicle has goodyear eagle ls, size p225/55/r16 (na) tires.while driving approximately 55 mph, the sidewall of the passenger rear tire blew out without warning.the contact pulled off the road and aaa replaced the tire.the tire pressure was normal.the powertrain was unknown.the current and failure mileages were 50,000.

Goodyear eagle ls tires sidewall bubbles after driving just a few thousand miles. This is the second tire with a defect that was not caused by any impact.

Tread separation on goodyear eagle ls tires. On 5-17-05 during scheduled tire rotation , discovered 2 of 4 eagle ls 225-65r-16 tires had tread separation @ 51,660 miles.madison goodyear dealer, in lieu of requested adjustment offered sale tires @ $119.00 each. Instead i purchased 4 new tires from a competitor.

Dt: the contact states that the 2005 nissan quest has tires that feathered on the inside edge of all four tires. The tires have been balanced and rotated every5,000miles. The tires stayed at the right pressure, whichwas 35 pounds. The tires started showing signs of feathering around 10,000 miles. The tires were the original onesthat came on the van. The tires needed to be replaced at 16,000miles. The contacthas been in contact with goodyear and nissan. The van has been in alignment the whole time that the contactowned the van. She stated that goodyear said that one of the tires was out of alignment by .011. Goodyear was the only one who found any problem with the alignment. The representative from nissan has checked the alignment and the tires were within the specs.the damage was apparent at10,000 miles. At this point, goodyear has said that they would pay for50%of the cost on another set of eagle ls tires. The contactwas looking for an alternative brand of tires. The contacthas every single piece of documentation of where she has had the tires rotated and balanced. Nissan and goodyearwere telling her that thepaperwork was no goodforthem because it did not come from the dealership.

On friday, september 9, 2005 at 7:30 pm i was driving on the expressway at approximately 60 miles an hour (in a construction zone).i felta tire going flat.i pulled off the main highway got out an saw that my right front tire was flat.a tow truck was called, the spare was put on and the flat tire was put in the trunk.the next morning my husband and i inspected the flat tire and saw that the tread had separated, and the steel belt had punctured the tire causing the flat.my husband took the tire to discount tire for inspection of the other tires and replacement of the flat.while there he was told that the left front tire tread was beginning to separate also.we replaced both tires, but left the rear tires in place.the service advisor indicated he sees this 2-3 times a week on goodyear tires.the tires are goodyear eagle ls; the car is a 2004 pontiac grand prix.we also have pictures of the damaged tire.please advise.

On 8-14-06 i exited us hwy 59 west of beltway 8 sw of houston tx. Noticed "wobble" in front end of car. On turning south on murphy rd i notice wobble getting worse and appeared to be on drivers front. I pulled into chevron station to put air in what i suspected was a low air tire. No low air problem existed. I ran my hand over tread of drivers front tire and discovered a large bulge on inside edge. There was a fire stone store about a 1/2 block south on murphy street where i bought a new tire. Not being a tire expert i can only tell you it appears that once again a goodyear eagle ls failed on my 2003 pt cruiser due to a "slipped belt".my pt cruiser came with with goodyear eagle ls tires. It also came with a "tires for life offer" from the dealer, "goodson dodge" in spring, tx. ( they have since sold dealership). The following tires failed due to "slipped belts" on original tires. Two (2) each 195/65/r15 dot#m6c6 bmar 0403. They occured at seperate times and replaced with other tires at "discount tire store". Second time when i visited store and explained problem as i walked across parking lot the discount tire store employee said something like, "oh, a pt cruiser, let me guess these are goodyear eagle tires. I said yes why ? he said "i don't know if its a tire defect or a problem with the car but this is a frequent occasion. I should have reported this then. I did report it then to yall but i did to the dealership and they said there was not a problem and their tires for life warranty did not cover defects. Only tread wearout. 2 of original 4 tires on my pt cruiser were replaced at tire tread wear out. It was one of those tires that failed yesterday. Dot#m6c6bmar1205. I still have all 3 failed tires.recap:vehicle-2003 pt cruiser purchased august 15, 2003 about 90,000 miles driven.defective ties: goodyear eagle ls m+s 195/65/r15tires rotaed every 6000 miles, 6 each tires owned 3 failed. 50% failure rate.thanks, bob smith.

No injuries or other damages were reported at this time (original equipment, tire size is ls-195/65r15 & the dot # m6aehtdr0202) dealer was not notified at this time. While driving vehicle hear and feel lump, lump about 10 times and then an explosion.you can feel the tire explode on the bottom of your car and through the steering wheel.

Dt*:the contact stated while the tires were being rotated the vehicle dealer discovered the belts on the inside of all four tires had separated.the tires were taken to the tire dealer who informed the contact the tires were seven years old.the tire manufacturer has been alerted.updated 7/13/2006 -

Where the tread and the side wall meet on this tire there was a half inch separation about five inches long.the consumer was able to see the steel belts under the tread.this problem is only evident on the front right tire.

2004 nissan quest, premature failure of treads on tires, tires have no tread warranty and a monopoly exists on tire replacement as it is a special made tire size for nissan.basically tires are worn out at only 33,000 miles.goodyear apparently made these tires designated as sports tires but placed them on a mini van apparently just for nissan in the size 225/65/16. Have been unable to locate any other manufacturer who makes this size so it appears to be a nissan/goodyear exclusive and thus a monopoly on these tires. Goodyear nor nissan provide any tread warranty that i've been able to determine.goodyear said directly that they do not provide a tread warranty on this tire.goodyear indicates expected life span to only be about 30,000 miles.this was not indicated when vehicle was purchased and not what you would expect as normal to replace tires every year to every year and a half at a cost of over $700. I have been unable to get nissan north america headquarters to communicate to me any information and local nissan dealers are also somewhat confused over the size. Consumers who expect tires to last a reasonable amount of time under good driving conditions do not get reasonable expectations out of these tires and must return to nissan/goodyear for high cost replacements for low quality tires.

Two goodyear eagle ls tires suffered belt separation within 10 days. The tires were taken to repair shops which diagnosed problem and replaced with new tires. Four tires were purchased from tire rack, and the remaining two tires are still on the auto.

All four tires were replaced due to belt failure which had protruded through the tires.*nlm

While driving vehicle hear and feel lump, lump about 10 times and then an explosion.you can feel the tire explode on the bottom of your car and through the steering wheel.

All four goodyear eagle ls tires that came installed on my buick park ave have tread separations. Three of the four tires have open separations.expect that this is not an isolated incident. Tread separations developed over some time.

Bad goodyear eagle ls tires on both front tires. Just replaced l front tire with only 1 low pressure signal - tires went bad in one week.now the r front tire has come up with the same problem. There isonly 28,000 plus miles on the car and the tires are rated for 50 to 60 thousand miles.

2009 kia spectra purchase new from halleen kia north olmsted, oh.tires are completely bald at 16,403 miles.car is 16 months old, driven locally.

Goodyear tire defect goodyear ls tire. Tirees are cupping starting at approx.15000 miles. Tires must be replaced at 20000 miles. No response by goodyear. Goodyear has had 294 on-line complaints for this tire with approx. 85% for this or simular problem. The vehicle was checked okay. See www.goodyear.com.

Goodyear tires on 2004 oldsmobile van defective (safety concern to other owners). Tires developed blisters then rubber split open causing tires to go flat. I had to buy tires immediately. Old tires are not here. I took them to dealer where i purchased the van new. No help from them or tire manufacture or van builder.

On 11-25-03 i took my vehicle to my local tire shop to get a leak repaired.they inspected the tire and marked several places on the tire and told me that the tread was separating.they told me it would be unsafe to drive so i purchased a new tire at a pro-rated price.please investigate this type tire as i see there are additional occurrences similar in nature.*nlm

Tire tread wear.the oem tires (goodyear eagle ls2 225/65 hr16) treads wear down around 25k miles.there is only one manufacturer of these tires and there is no warranty on them.attempting to find replacement tires at a reasonable cost is not easy.

There was uneven tire wear.the tread surface lifted off of the cap.there were chunks of tread that had broken off. *sc

The tread/steelbelt on the goodyear eagle ls tires installed as oem on my 2001 chrysler minivan (purchased new sept. 2002) have separated after 13 mo./28,000 miles.the separation is worse on the front than on the back with one tire having a 12 1/2 in. Separation and numerous small splits/separations and the other having a 6 inch separation and numerous small splits/separations.the dealership responded that this was normal wear/tear which is difficult for me to believe.there are 7 other complaints regarding this tire with nhtsa, five of which are for steal belt separation.this should be investigated immediately.*la

Both back tires had a failure of the belts causing the tread to warp casusing a significant visible problem.

Three of four tires purchased had a belt separation - one lost a sizeable piece of tread.this occurred over a span of three months.

Before traveling, thedriver checked the tires and noticed that a nail was in one of the tires. The dealer checked all of the tires and found that the steel belt was separating from all four tires. 11/3/2003 - operator 161 - corrected the dot number at consumer's request. *scc

The contact owns a 2007 pontiac grand prix with goodyeareagle ls tires, line size p225/60r/16.the contact stated the vehicle was taken to the dealer for routine maintenance at 36,000 miles and the dealer informed the contact that the tread had separated from both rear tires. The contact purchased two new tires but they continued to exhibit a loud, abnormal thumping noise. The contact then replaced all four tires. The dealer advised that the tires were molded incorrectly which caused the abnormal noise.the manufacturer of the tires was contacted where a complaint was filed. The failure and current mileages were approximately 36,000. Updated 10/13/10the consumer stated two of the tires suffered tire separation. Updated 10/14/10

I have a 1998 buick park ave. Purchased at my dealership:brunswick buick pontiac, 1120 route 18 north, east brunswick nj, 08816, phone# 732-651-4110, mr. Jose pascual (service advisor), with original goodyear eagle ls tires serial numbers: 0606, 0610, 0615, 0623on the vehicle. At approx. 41593 miles, my right front tire went flat in my driveway.i brought the car to the above dealership and was told that a gash approx. 5" long on the 'interior caused by a displacement of the tires steel belt, and upon further inspection by the service rep., i was told that the other three tires were on the verge of a similar failure.had the failure not happened in my driveway but on the highway i might not be writing this.i contacted a mr. Tom d. At goodyear (732-821-4700) reference # 671401, and was told to bring all four tires to a goodyear dealer which i did and was told the deterioration was due to normal wear and tear, buti told goodyear that no-one would buy these tires with the knowledge that the belts would come apart at approx. 40000 miles.i conveyed their comments to the dealership who did not agree with this conclusion and is holding the four tires for a g.m. Representative to inspect the tires.it was necessary for me to replace the tires prematurely at my expense as i had more normal use of the existing tire rubber.i am seeking: 1- reimbursement for the cost $409.53 of the tire replacements from goodyear, and 2- to apprise your agency of this condition as recommended by a buick g.m. Customer service representative ms. Kellly bristol, phone # 866-952-4368, x58036, service request # 1-172024374, so that any other persons having similar tires can have them examined for possible defects.

Needed new front and rear brakes 26k miles, no warning squeak just metal to metal grind. Which means not only pads but rotors as well. Dealer said normal to replace front and rear brakes 25k miles.

On 12-17-04 my tires were rotated and balanced at discount tire co.this resulted in vibration at low speeds in my steering wheel.discount rechecked the balancing, but found nothing wrong.several days later i moved the l/f tire to the rear to see if the wheel might be the problem - the vibration stopped!on 12-23-04 i stopped by the local goodyear dealer to discuss the problem with them.it was made clear that all i wanted was a tire safety inspection at no expense to me.they said they would be happy to inspect the tire at no cost and the next morning i dropped the car off at 7am (12-24-04).a couple of hours later goodyear called and said the l/r tire was bad (tread separation) , that they had replaced it with a new tire, and it was ready to be picked up.no mention was made of any cost involved, and i assumed it was a free replacement (27k miles).went to pick up the car and was told there was a pro-rated charge of almost $80 for the replacement tire (goodyear eagle ls p205/55r16).i told them there was to be no expense to me for the tire inspection - that if they found the tire bad i was going to have a complete set put on at pepboys.they put my old tire back on and agreed there was no charge for anything.

I started to get a vibration throughout the vehicle. The dealer checked and determined that the steel belts inside the tires have shifted. They recommended that i purchase new tires

I have had continuous problems with air pressure loss in my tires. Every tire on my vehicle has been serviced at least once and one tire has been serviced three times for the same problem. The dealer indicates that it is a problem of corrosion around the valve stem causing leak down. The dealer also indicated that they have seen this problem repeatedly on the lhs and 300m. I asked if chrysler has a fix for this problem and the dealer indicated that there is not a fix. Meanwhile, my vehicle is now out of warranty and i have had to pay to have 3 valve stems replaced for a problem that will eventually reoccur. This last time almost resulted in a loss of control of the vehicle with my wife and 3 children in the car as the tire almost came off of the rim. Now, after the first 3 failures i have made it a habit to reinflate my tires at every fueling and did so not less than 3 days prior to this latest failure. I am concerned that this continual inaction on the part of chrysler will result in the harm of one of my family members or someone else and this correspondence serves as notice of my concern. Please contact me as soon as possible with your response.

Experienced a flat tire today due to a tire valve stem cracking at the base of my 2005 scion xb.

1. Front driver side tire flattened on the way to work...i filled it up and proceeded to work and had help changing tire in parking lot.2. All 4 valve stems were leaking on my tires3. Replaced 2 back tires and fixed valves on 2 front tires.

Vehicle experienced extreme vibration during acceleration. This caused the vehicle to pull to the right while on the road. Manufacturer will be contacted by consumer.both the manufacturer and goodyear dealer were contacted however was not able to help.

The hvac (temperature control panel) started fading in and out, and then eventually went blank. Seems to work fine.

After 1 1/2 years of front end pulling, unevenness and steering wheel wobble, dealer concluded faulty tires.goodyear then concluded cause to be out-of-round oem chrysler 16" chrome wheels.goodyear did not replace the tires free of charge, i had to pay for the pro-ration.as of this writing, am awaiting to speak with chrysler service zone rep about the problem. I have requested chrysler reimburse for the two front tires, pay for rear tire replacements, and replace all four chrome wheels with new ones. Goodyear store manager confirmed many pt cruisers have been in his shop, misdiagnosed by dealer to be faulty tires, only to discover the oem chrysler chrome wheels are out-of-round.also told me 1) either the oem wheels are defective in manufacture, or 2) the design of the pt cruiser is causing only the chrome wheels to become out-of-round upon normal driving/usage.my goodyear tires were/are 3/4 tread worn at just 22,500 miles.normal tread life for these tires is between 45,000-50,000 miles.dt

Consumer called complaining about having a defective rim on the vehicle. Also stated that thereis a crack of about two inchestrue the whole rim and is never been used also said that this is a spare tire. Manufacture was not contacted at the time of this call. Ts
