Bought a 2010 corolla on 12/26/09 with goodyear eagle ls 2 tires.upon driving home my steering was weaving left to right felt as though i was driving on ice and/or hydroplaning.toyota regional rep came from corporate, looked at the steering 2 wks ago.steering improved until driving in rain on 4/4/10 the steering became loose and the car was weaving left to right and i was once again hydroplaning at 65 mph goodyear man said when traction is lost to the road, the vehicle will hydroplane.(these tires are dangerous)the consumer stated it was very difficult to control the steering. The vehicle would wander into the next lane. The consumer also stated the vehicle did not always stop in time when the brakes were applied. The consumer was told the vehicle was equipped with abs and they were much better and safer. Updated ivoq 03/10/11

I just bought a 2010 toyota corolla less than 30 days ago.i believe the steering is either going to cause an accident or at least cause us to get a ticket from drifting in and out of our lane of traffic.i am 32 years old and have bought and drove tons of vehicles so i am not an inexperienced driver.i own a 1988 toyota pickup that is easier to keep in a straight line than this car.before i was ready to purchase the car i did some research and saw some complaints about how hard it was to keep them driving in a straight line.i thought it was just people jumping on the toyota recall bandwagon trying to get something for nothing.i also figured it would be a perfect time to buy a toyota and get a deal because of the problems they are having.when i mentioned the problem to the dealer while test driving the car he said " i haven't heard anything.it probably will just take some getting used to."it has been a month and their is something wrong with the electric power steering.it is very very difficult to keep in a straight line.it is almost so sensitive that just putting your hands wheel will cause a slight change in direction.the only way to keep the car in a straight line down a straight road is to take your hands off the wheel.if it is windy the vehicle seems to correct for directional changes that are not happening.it drifts horribly bad during even small winds.i know it is not just my driving habits.we just moved from palmer alaska and routinely drove a 1990 ford escort, and the 1988 toyota pickup in winds over 50 miles an hour with effects less than those in the 2010 corolla.

The contact owns a 2011 bmw 550xi equipped with goodyear eagle ls-2 245/40/19 tires. The contact stated the vehicle was parked when he noticed a bubble on the sidewall of the front passenger side tire. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the failure was not diagnosed, but the tire was replaced. Approximately one month later, the replacement tire blew while driving approximately 20 mph over a road bump. Upon examining the tire, the contact noticed another bubble on the sidewall. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where they were in the process of replacing the tire. The manufacturer offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 726. Updated 07-06/11

Tires are extremely susceptible to bubbles in the sidewall caused by routing driving.i've replaced two tires in less than 6 months on a new vehicle with less than 12,000 miles. (bmw 550i x-drive).

Normal driving of bmw.only 2 months old. Noticed 2 large bubbles in sidewall.went online to find many many others who have had the same complaint, including bent rims.issue appears to be a faulty tire runflat tire by goodyear.installed on a $75,000 automobile, with no choice for substitute tire die to the configuration.

I had to replace three of my tires on my 2013 kia forte sx.they had side wall damage and formed bubbles.these tires are the worst.

Bmw goodyear issues run-flat tires installed on 5 series cars are defective. The tires cause bubbles in the side wall even over minor bumps. Replacement is required to avoid serious injury.tires are goodyear ls2 245/40/19.

The contact owns a 2011 bmw 550i with goodyear eagle ls-2 tires, line sizes p245/40/r19. The contact stated that both of the front tires developed bubbles. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who stated that the tires were unsafe to drive on and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The tires were replaced. The vin and dot numbers were not available. The failure mileage was 5,500 and the current mileage was 12,000.

My wife and i own a 2010 kia forte which came with goodyear ls2 tires, size 215-45 17. In the three years and 25,000 miles we have used the car, four of the goodyear tires have developed bubbles in the sidewall. This has resulted in having to replace the four tires. At the time the third one needed replacement, i replaced it with a different tire by another manufacturer. This tire has performed flawlessly on the car with no bubbles whatsoever. Recently, i noticed a new bubble on one of the goodyears still on the car. This tire happens to be one the same side as the replacement tire from another manufacturer. I believe that the goodyear ls2 tires may have a serious defect in the sidewall construction. Resulting in sidewall failure (bubbles) with normal use. I am in the process of replacing the three remaining goodyear tires on the kia with a different brand of tire.

Goodyear eagle ls-2 tire failure- bubble in sidewall with less than 3,000 miles on it.

I have a 2010 toyota corrolla that came outfitted with goodyear eagle ls2 tiree 89s.i was travelling on the interstate and the right rear tire blewout.a quick inspection of the tire didn't show any punctures on the main tread but there was a hole on the sidewall.called goodyear to let them know and they said that there wasn't a recall.i see there have been other occurances so i'm sharing mine.had to purchase a new tire.the tires had 13,500 miles total as does my car.

Owned car for 1 day on day 2 driving down road and tire blows out. Garage refused to warranty tire w/o completely inspecting tire.

Oem tires have extremely poor wet pavement traction. First incident occurred less than 30 days after purchasing the vehicle. It had rained heavily for an extended time that day and continuing moderately into the evening. Approaching the intersection where i intended to make a turn onto a side street, i began slowing to what i considered a safe and prudent speed given the road conditions. Upon applying the brakes the vehicle could not be stopped resulting in sliding completely straight through the intersection, luckily on a green signal light, and with no other traffic in my path. Realizing i was not slowing sufficiently to negotiate the turn, i did not attempt to turn the steering wheel and continued down the same street to a safe area to turn around and return to the street i intended to turn onto.second incident, again on wet pavement, was after making a complete stop at a traffic light controlled intersection. When the signal light changed to green, i started negotiating a left turn. Approximately half way through the intersection, at a speed of less than 10 mph, rear tires lost traction and the rear of the vehicle tried to swap ends. Needless to say, my wife yelled at me to stop doing whatever it was that i did to cause such action, to which i replied. I did not do anything other than start moving forward at a slow pace and was just as surprised as she was by the behavior of the vehicle.

I purchased a 2011 chevy impala at the end of december 2012. Since then, i have put about 10,000 miles on the vehicle with goodyear eagle ls-2 tires. Unfortunately, starting on june 13, 2013 i have had a series of sidewall blowouts. The first blowout was june 13. The second was july 29. The third was august 27. The first two blowouts happened while at speed on the highway. Fortunately, the third one happened while in town and driving less than 25 mph. I heard a sound very similar to what i heard prior to the other two blowouts, so i immediately pulled over and inspected my tires. I have a photo of the bubble that formed on the inside sidewall. Not three minutes later, that bubble blew out and the tire quickly deflated. This is now three tires, all goodyear eagle ls-2, that have blown out in less than three months. Based on the number of complaints left at nhtsa, i cannot believe this is an isolated incident with my vehicle, especially when the shop owner at the tire store told me "that's a manufacturer defect, a faulty and busted belt" upon seeing the photo of the bubble.

Ibought this 2011 model bmw 535ix in march 2011, and it came with goodyear eagle ls/2 rof tires. The front tire started to develop a bubble on the side wall and lose air pressure. A few days later a crack was found on the rear tire. The vehicle has only been on the road for 6,000 miles when the issue occurred. The worse thing yet is that even though the tires are under road hazard warranty, all tires that come with this car are in national backorder which means consumer has no way to get the same oem tire. This tire/wheel set shall be recalled by bmw as it appears to be design flaw on bmw's side according numerous online complaints and bmw forums. The same tire is used by many other different car makers and there is no problem with them.

Repeated sidewall bubbles on my goodyear eagle ls 2 tires, 245/40 r19, and need for replacement, both front tires in two seperate incidents, with less than 7,000 miles on the car, after hitting minor bumps in the road.they are unreliable and dangerous.

Have a 2011 bmw 535xi with 5,000 miles on it. Bumped a small pot hole and my front goodyear 245/40/19 eagle ls2 run flat sidewall busted up and ballooned. For the very high cost these tires are made like crap...there have been numerous very similar complaints listed all over the internet. Please recall to save the consumers the costly factor of constant replacements and our overall safety.

I purchased a 2011 bmw 535i xdrive vehicle with goodyear eagle ls runflats 245/40 r19. The car has only 19,000 miles and from the day that i purchased it (in feb 2011), i have had to replace the front tires 8 times and recently the rear tires 2 times. A total of 10 tire replacements.some replacements were due to bubbles on sidewalls. The others were due what appeared to be cuts on the inside/outside sidewalls. I have spoken to many bmw owners of similar vehicle and everyone is running into the same problem. Goodyear initially was replacing my tires at no charge becasue they tire damage always was within tire warranty window until last year when they changed their road hazzard warranty policy and no longer cover the expense. These are very expensive tires. Something has to be done about these tires.....

Driving 70 mph on interstate and had blowout due to splitting of goodyear eagle ls 2 tire with only 28000 miles. Tires purchased on new 2007 buick lacrosse with 0 miles.could have caused wreck and possibly death.this happened again on 9-6-20210 samesituation on a second tire.goodyear would not replace all 4 tires even though 2 blew out due to splitting of tire.goodyear only pro rated the two that were blown and i would have to wait until others blow.this is too dangerous and goodyear needs to be responsible.if the others blow and there is wreck or injury there will be a lawsuit and want it noted that i have reported and tried to do something about bad tires.only have the dot # for the second tire only because goodyear dealer kept the first blown out tire.i have not let them have the second tire yet.i am trying to work with gm to get some help with getting all tires replaced.gm first told me to go to goodyear but now with the second tire a month later i am really concerned for my and others safety.the consumer stated the dealer and gm decided to replace the remaining three tires as a customer satisfaction gesture. I believed that i had a flat tire from a nail stuck in the tread but after observing it closer i found that the nail did not penetrate the tire, that my flat was caused by a split in the side wall.

I have a 2011 bmw 535i is purchase nov 2010 from bmw military sales, three weeks after receiving car, my right front tire form a bubble and was replaced by bmw of landstuhl, i shipped the car to the us may 2011.june 2011 my right front tire form a bubble; took car to dealer and was told tire was not cover in warranty; both new tire, aug 2011 front left tire form blister; took back to dealership and was told i need to contact goodyear; i email the manufacture no response; april 2013 i had curbside rear tire took to dealership and was told that el paso had rough roads and that the blisters form from wear and tear; so i replace all fourrun flat tires and no more bubbles forming on tires. Not counting the tire replace by bmw landstuhl i have replaced 3 tires.

In the past 5 months of owning my bmw 535xi, i had to change my goodyear eagle ls2 size 245/40r19 run flats 3 times because of bubble on the side wall. There are a large number of bmw 535xi owners reporting similar problems with this tire on the internet. Continuing to drive the car with a sidewall bubble poses a significant safety risk. Therefore, the tire needed to be replaced.

Goodyear eagle ls 2 run on flat tires (245/40r19) developed sidewall bubbles on 3 tires over 9kmiles.no rim damage, not even a scratch.i did not hit any major potholes.the online customer reviews also cite terrible experience with side wall bubbles.(see tirerack reviews of this tire). The nhtsa complaint form only allows for 1 complaint but three of my tires failed at separate times in the same manner. The 1st tire failed at 6k, second at 9k and the last one at 12k.

The contact stated that the passenger side front tire had 2 bubbles forming on the sidewall of the tire. The tire was not diagnosed. The vehicle manufacturer was notified and no solution was offered. The failure mileage was 10,000.jft

3 tires have failed on a toyota prius with less than 30,000 miles.

Driving my commute, that i previously had traveled on low profile tires in my previous bmw for 3 years without incident, i got a bubbled sidewall on my brand new goodyear run flat tire. Upon doing some research i found out these bmw oem tires were failing all over the us. It seems the tires were only spec'd on the sport package with the all wheel drive option. The tires are unavailable do to i assume the large amount of failures. Bmw put a size on the car that in the oem spec doesn't exist by any other tire manufacture. The fix was to give me 2 summer tread tires until the oem tires were available. Although bmw never recommends mixing summer and all season rubber.

Cords in there of the four tires on our 2013 chevrolet impala ruptured, causing bulging on the inside margin of the tire faces.the bulging caused the steering wheel and entire car to shake at all speeds. The tires had to be replaced long before the end of the tread life. The tires, which were original equipment on the car, were goodyear eagle ls2,size p225/55r17, dot# m643 bhdr 2312.continue use would have resulted in damage to suspension and drive line components and possible catastrophic tire failure.

Tire failure.no cause, no incident.sidewall tread block split and all air lost within 5 miles of low air sensor alert in the car.11,500 miles.

Three tires had large bubbles, first tire at 11,000, two more at 12,000.tires were original for a 2012 bmw 535xi sport.tires were "goodyear eagle ls-2 runonflat 245/40r19"tires have gentle use, 99% freeway driving on good roads.tires are very dangerous and must be recalled.bmw knows this because they quickly replaced them with michelin's at prorated cost. Please take action to recall these tires!

Goodyear eagle ls2 tires were described by the local ford technician during a pre-vacation service as needing to be replaced in the near future. That is at a mileage reading of 21,338.7 miles. There is also a very pronounced tire rumble at highway speed and tire wear is also very high and irregular.i will probably replace with michelin tires in the near future.

Tire blister.this is one of four blisters on this brand of tires.

Bmw 550xi, normal driving, tire pressure indicator came on, car became unstable.parked vehicle and observed large bubble in front right tire sidewall had split, causing rapid deflation.no road hazards were involved, mechanic states that these tires get sidewall bubbles all the time.

2007 saturn aura stored indoors always.40,964 miles only.1metal belt exposed. Replaced 2 tires. 5mos laterbelt separation in same brand tire. Auto pressure check system (computer has observed correct tire pressure for life of tire). Tires still look new plenty of tread (at least1/4").

Minor pothole hit twice with < 1000 miles on odometer, second tire now with side wall bubble.due to back order for tires, no available replacement.this is a common problem and sidewall issues are a danger for blowout.needs to be addressed!

The goodyear 245/40/19 ls2 tire on my 2011 bmw blistered then lost all air after hitting a minor pothole at less than 5 mph.the car was drivable at low speed after the loss of air.no spare tire is provided on this vehicle.these tires are not readily available from bmw or goodyear and i had to wait four days for a replacement.this is an improvement over the one to two weeks i had to wait for the five previous replacements in the last five months.

The vehicle would wander into the next lane. The consumer also stated the vehicle did not always stop in time when the brakes were applied. The consumer was told the vehicle was equipped with abs and they were much better and safer. Updated ivoq 03/10/11

Last april i purchased a bmw 550ix. In march of this year while on the freeway i developed a flat tire. I was able to run the vehicle 40 miles to my home with the tire flat but had to flatbed the vehicle to my car repair store to replace the tire. That tire had a bubbled sidewall at the time of the flat although i cannot say that the bubbled sidewall was where the tire failed. I had the tire replaced for around $500 and the mechanic made no mention to me about the bubbled sidewall issue with this tire although, as it turns out, he was aware of the problem.at the time of repair of the above flat, my mechanic informed me that the passenger-side front tire also had a bubbled sidewall necessitating replacement of that tire in order to pass my state vehicle inspection.since the repair in late march 2012, i noticed that the passenger-side front tire has a bubbled sidewall. I might add that no potholes have been hit, do road debris has been struck.so two and possibly three of four of the original tires on this vehicle, which is just now over 1 year old, have failed sidewalls necessitating replacement. The mileage on the vehicle is around 13,000 miles.

Driving on highway at 60 mph and passenger front tire sidewall completely separated from tire.original tires when vehicle purchased. Only 11,000 miles on tire; goodyear eagle ls 2.

All 4 tires showed tread separation with mileage between 34000 and 49000 miles.the tread bubbled up on the inside tread edge of all tires.i had 3 flat tires due to this defect.goodyear only offered what they called "good will" replacement at about half price.i paid to have the first 2 replace on 02/16/2013 and 11/04/2013.both of these tires went down after highway driving. On 11/19/2013 i rotated the tires and noticed the remaining 2 original tires were showing signs of separation on the inside edge of the tread.contacted goodyear and they would only discount them by half after having 4 out of 4 tires go bad.i left the goodyear store and am having 4 michelin tires put on.i think goodyear should refund me what the first 2 tires cost me and they can have them back. I don't think these tires should be on the road they are not safe.

2009 malibu,i have replaced 1 tire when side wall broke after hitting a bump also have a bent rim on a different wheel, tires are weak don't ride well, complained to dealer and gm was not willing to compromise on cost of new rim and different brand tires. Was told that gm does not warranty the tires. I have owned chevy's for 40 years,i presently own 3 that are all on the road no more gm's for me.

Blister in tire.this is one of four blisters.

The contact owns a 2008 chevrolet impala equipped with goodyear eagle ls-2 tires, size: p225/55r17. While driving 65 mph, there was a vibration coming from the tires. Spring valley goodyear of columbia, south carolina was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and stated that there were no recalls on the tires. The tire and vehicle failure mileage were unknown.

This is about the safety issues with a set of goodyear eagles ls-2 tires.with only 1300 miles on the vehicle, i have already slid three or four different times, including sliding into the median twice.i have no confidence in these tires to stay on the road or when pulling out or going around a curve.these tires should not be on the road.

The contact owns a 2013 chevrolet impala equipped with goodyear eagle ls-2 tires, size: p225/55r17. The contact stated that the tire warning light illuminated because the front passenger side tire developed a slow leak. Several days later, while pulling out of the driveway at 10 mph, the contact noticed that the vehicle drove abnormally. The contact pulled over and noticed that the front passenger tire thread separated. The manufacturer was not notified. The tire was replaced. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was approximately 36,000. The vin was not available.

Tread separated from tire, loss of air.third tire of this same make and model to do this.

I bought a 2012 impala .2 days after i bought it from dealer had tire go down from bubble on sidewall. A month later same thing. Had blow out with 3couple days ago. Went and bought new set and found out 4th tire had bubble.now i hate i bought another set of goodyear eagle ls2. How can i get my money back k from goodyear or new tires

I was driving my 2011 bmw 550x m sport on the ohio turnpike in july 2014 when two bubbles started to form on the goodyear ls-2 245/40r19 front left tire. Given i only had 70 miles to my destination i continued at the 65 mph. Well, needless to say, as i exited the turnpike the front left tire failed. Lost all pressure. This wasn't even the tire i thought might fail. I was forced to drive 30 miles on the highway on two dangerous tires so i could get to a safe place to call for a tow. The car was towed to the bmw dealership 70 miles away. These were newly replaced tires with about 5k miles on them. I'm attempting to get the tires replaced at no cost even given the unsafe tire results but it's my only option at this point given my location. The dealer is trying to charge full price for the replacement tires. I find this unacceptable.

I work in a tire shop and in the past two weeks i have had two 2013 impala lt's come in with partially separated tires. Both were goodyear eagle ls2's, same size, and same dot number. Separation was identical on both vehicles.customers reported that their tire had a slow leak in both cases. Upon checking the tire i noticed both tires had uneven wear and were separated on the shoulder. Tires were both replaced as a result of the partial separation.

Tire pressure monitoring system problems *ln

Tpms valve stem broke during the check and inflation of a customer's vehicle. The broken valve stem resulted in a loss of tire pressure requiring immediate repair.

While servicing this customer's vehicle we put an a tire inflator on the vehicle's valve stem. The valve stem broke and was very brittle. The tire lost all air pressure and needed to be repaired at a tire shop for $138.

Owned car for 1 day on day 2 driving down road and tire blows out. Garage refused to warranty tire w/o completely inspecting tire.

Repeated sidewall bubbles on my goodyear eagle ls 2 tires, 245/40 r19, and need for replacement, both front tires in two seperate incidents, with less than 7,000 miles on the car, after hitting minor bumps in the road.they are unreliable and dangerous.

Goodyear eagle ls-2 tire failure- bubble in sidewall with less than 3,000 miles on it.

Tires are extremely susceptible to bubbles in the sidewall caused by routing driving.i've replaced two tires in less than 6 months on a new vehicle with less than 12,000 miles. (bmw 550i x-drive).

Bmw 550xi, normal driving, tire pressure indicator came on, car became unstable.parked vehicle and observed large bubble in front right tire sidewall had split, causing rapid deflation.no road hazards were involved, mechanic states that these tires get sidewall bubbles all the time.

The contact owns a 2014 chevrolet impala equipped with goodyear eagle ls-2 tires, size: p225/55r17. While driving approximately 40 mph, there was an abnormal noise coming from the rear driver side tire. The contact pulled over and discovered that there was a blister on the sidewall of the tire. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate tire and vehicle failure mileage was 33,000. The dot number was not available.

Driving on highway at 60 mph and passenger front tire sidewall completely separated from tire.original tires when vehicle purchased. Only 11,000 miles on tire; goodyear eagle ls 2.

Minor pothole hit twice with < 1000 miles on odometer, second tire now with side wall bubble.due to back order for tires, no available replacement.this is a common problem and sidewall issues are a danger for blowout.needs to be addressed!

Blister in tire.this is one of four blisters.

Bmw goodyear issues run-flat tires installed on 5 series cars are defective. The tires cause bubbles in the side wall even over minor bumps. Replacement is required to avoid serious injury.tires are goodyear ls2 245/40/19.

I believed that i had a flat tire from a nail stuck in the tread but after observing it closer i found that the nail did not penetrate the tire, that my flat was caused by a split in the side wall.

The contact owns a 2011 bmw 535i (na) equipped with good yeareagle ls-2 tires, tire size 245/45/18. The contact noticed a bubble on the side wall of the front passenger's side tire. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the tire was replaced. The manufacturer was not made aware of the problem. The failure mileage was 7,800. The dot number was unknown.

I had to replace three of my tires on my 2013 kia forte sx.they had side wall damage and formed bubbles.these tires are the worst.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet impala equipped with goodyear eagle ls-2 tires, size: p225/55r17. The contact stated that the front driver side tire had blown from the inside wall but the outer wall was still holing air. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and offered to pay for a portion of the tires. The tires were replaced. The failure mileage on the tires and the vehicle was 30,000. The vin was not available.

Tire blister.this is one of four blisters on this brand of tires.

The contact stated that the passenger side front tire had 2 bubbles forming on the sidewall of the tire. The tire was not diagnosed. The vehicle manufacturer was notified and no solution was offered. The failure mileage was 10,000.jft

The manufacturer of the tires were not notified. The failure mileage on the tires was 17,000. The vehicle failure mileage was 117,000. The vin was unavailable.

Tread separated from tire, loss of air.third tire of this same make and model to do this.
