Multiple issues with 2009 prius.first:loss of air pressure in front left tire from time i picked up the vehicle to present.i continually need to put air in the tire, usually on a weekly/bi-weekly basis.the other tires are fine.second:for the same tire, the tire pressure light would not be triggered until ~23 pounds, should have been triggered in same tire at 33 lbs.third:vehicle would not stop when applying pressure on brakes at slow speed.this has occurred about 6 times in a 6 month period.simultaneously, the vsc light went on and the slid indicator went on.the terrain was on either asphalt or concrete roads, slightly downhill (concrete) and one street is a bit rough (filled in pot holes).also, both areas are within a quarter mile of each other and near the ocean.with each occurrence the vsc went into effect.on 11/21/09 it jolted hard much more than the other occasions; this date was the incident on the bridge when the car was going in a slight downward direction.i lost control of the vehicle for several seconds and was afraid that i would hit the car in front of me; i beeped my horn to warn the driver in front of me.my vehicle did stop in time but it took alot longer than it should have taken.on a later occasion, i was going about 5-10 mph faster on a nearby street and attempted to stop for a stop sign and it did the same thing, however the vsc did not jolt back as hard.the vehicle was not angled down as much as the 11/21/09 incident.on 11/21/09 i took the vehicle to cabe toyota dealership and they looked at the car but found nothing wrong with it.i also had the car looked at by toyota corp today and was told that the driver feels that i felt the abs brakes only.this is not the case.when i stepped on the brakes each occasion it was as though there was nothing there and i had no control in stopping it.this was especially true when the vsc kicked in (the jerking).each time it lasted many, several or more seconds.

I took my caliber in for some warranty work. They found the left strut was bad.they ordered the part.i went back in the next week for the strut and alignment.while they were driving back from the alignment place, they had an accident in my car.they fixed it. I have since then brought it back to a roar in the car.they told me my tires were bad.i asked if it could be because of the alignment was out and they said no.i asked if it could be because of the accident, again no.who in their right mind would align a car with bad tires.they have made no deal for me in this matter.the tires did not go bad in a matter of a week.

While on vacation, the right rear (goodyear dunlop g/t qualifier p235/55r 16 96t) tire on my 2000 pontiac firebird coupe lost its tread and blew nearly killing myself and my fiancee'. This happened near beaver, utah on i-70. I only had approximately 10000 miles on the tires. They were warranted for 70000 miles.the automotive technician informed me that the rest of my tires were dangerous.the tires were cracking along the edge of the tread and across the tread. He stated the other tires would end up loosing their tread too. Also, he informed me that the tires were considerably older than what i thought. He showed me by the dates stamped on the tires.discount tire told me the tires were new when i bought them.i had to buy 4 new tires at a cost of $603.88 in beaver, utah..our lives were worth more than the cost of tires. Upon my return to springfield, i proceeded to discount tire to talk to the manager. I told him what happened and showed him the damage to my vehicle.he informed me that he would have to forward the complaint to goodyear because it was the tire company, not their fault. I disagreed since they sold me old tires, but he said that is how they handle claims. I received a claim form from goodyear tire & rubber company.i filled it out, got two estimates of $1125.65 and $1485.97 for repairs to my vehicle, and sent it back to them on august 10th, 2015 for processing.i called today, september 2nd, 2015 to find out the progress of my claim.i was informed that they couldn't do any thing for me since the station in beaver no longer had the defective tires and they needed them to asses the tire failure.i was told that i should have brought the tires back with me.tell me how i was to bring 4 tires along with my luggage back in a firebird.

Severe and recurrent pulling of my 2009 honda civic hybrid requiring three (3) sets of new tires in less than 6 months and 16,000 miles.my vehicle has been taken to my local honda dealership multiple times to address this concern.it is only a matter of time before the pulling results in an accident involving myself and/or my wife with child.honda has not been able to identify the root of the pulling problem.efforts have involved creating a formal case with american honda. In addition to my local honda dealership, both the district parts and service manager and case manager supervisor have been consulted.additionally, i have written two (2) letters directly to mr. Tetsuo iwamura, the president and ceo of american honda notifying him of my concerns. I am really in need of any support nhtsa can provide in resolving this safety issue.presently, i drive in excess of one-hundred (100) miles daily.and, my wife and i purchased this vehicle with the intent of her using this as the family vehicle in the not to distant future.this pulling is very unsafe and at this point i would not even be able to sell it. Honda is stonewalling me.we really need your help.the letters i have written to mr. Iwamura, which i am willing to provide nhtsa copies, say it all.
