On my way to work today i had a flat tire, which resulted in me having to call onstar because there was no spare or jack in the truck. Once i called on star it took them three times calling me back to get road side assistance on the phone. I was stuck for two and a half hours before the tow truck even arrived. Once the tow truck driver arrived i asked him what happened to road side assistance he told me that on star just called his office and told them that i needed a tow truck to tow my car that i only had a flat tire. That could have been fixed if i would have had a spare tire instead of a can of goo and a tire pump. Once the tow truck driver got my car loaded that is when i leaned that i could not ride in the tow truck. So after being stranded on side of the road for two hours had to wait on a ride home and the dealership closed at 5 pm so, i still can't get my car until the next day because of a flat tire that could have been avoided if i had a spare tire. So, i couldn't make it to work and i had to thumb a ride home because of gm wanting to save .4 mpg of gas by taking away the spare tire and jack.

The contact owns a 2015 chevrolet malibu equipped with goodyear tires assurance tires, size: p225/55r17. While driving approximately 30 mph, there was a loud bang sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The driver observed that the front passenger side tire blew out without warning. On 11/25/2012 at about 10:00 pm, after driving on freeway for about 100 miles, the front wheel on driver side began to make a small noise and small vibration and later the tire warning light came on. I stopped by at a rest area and didn?t see any noticeable problem. Since it?s about 50 miles away from home, i decided to keep driving it and the noise and vibration continued. I checked the tire the next day and found it flattened. I fixed it with a tire repair plug, pump it and i found a bubble about 4-inch in diameter. I drove back to vineland toyota in vineland, nj on 12/7/2012 since the tire was only 18 months old and was still in warranty. After taking down the tire, i found, on the other side of the tire, there was another bubble in diameter 3-inch.i strongly believe there is a serious safety issue with this model of tires of good year. If i kept driving my vehicle for few more miles, the tire would explode and caused a serious accident!

I purchased 4 goodyear assurance touring tires (p225/60r17 98t) from sam's club in may, 2011.they've been regularly inspected, balanced and rotated as part of sam's club tire warranties.on january 28, 2011, we happened to park the van just right so that the tires were turned sharply to the left.at that time it was visibly noticeable that there was a huge piece of rubber missing (about 3-4 inches long and 3 inches wide) from the sidewall and metal was exposed. We took the van to sam's where they first tried to say it was due to alignment issues (the van had recently had the alignment fixed), but when it was pointed out that it was not worn completely around and only on one spot, they replaced the tire.we thought nothing of it. About 2 months later, i woke up to drive the kids to school and tire #2 was flat.brought it in to sam's, they found a nail or something in it, and plugged it. But when they tested it later, it wasn't holding air. The sidewall had a crack in it, not replaceable. Changed tire #2. April 30, try to leave to pick up kids from school, tire #3 is flat (had just driven on it that morning). Take it to sam's, huge crack in the sidewall. At this point, its not really funny anymore. Wondering what kind of recall this tire may be under because its not available at the store anymore. June 24, the van was shaking as we were driving, pulled over, and sure enough, huge gash of exposed metal on the inside sidewall. Four tires in less than 6 months, ruined. Tires rated for 70,000 miles and with less than 25,000 miles on them. All holes, cracks, or exposed metal are on the inside sidewall where the tire had started to bulge. Thankfully, we caught it just in time or we could have been in a very serious accident! so disappointed that this tire has not been recalled and that i've still had to pay for the replacement tires!!

I have had 4 tire failures on my 1997 saturn ion. All tires were goodyear assurance 195/60/r15 tires. In ones instance, a tread separation occurred. This happened on 1/22/2010, 11/5/2008. 1/26/2009 and 7/16/2009, at 26,000, 29,000, 34,000 and 40,000 miles.

I have a 2005 toyota camry le, i bought goodyear assurance tires back in may 2010 as a set of 4 tires. These tires have a manufacturer warranty of 80000 miles though after driving for about 35000 miles the tire tread depth came down to below 2/32nd and the dealer denied taking the car out of dealership without a replacement or an assurance of immediate replacement. I had to replace the tire within 2 hrs after coming out of dealership as they didn't have a ready available tire from non-goodyear brand. I am wondering how this tires got down to such a low tread depth so soon? i mostly drive in the city and only few time highway that too not more than 300 miles. This certainly is the worst tires. Goodyear denied providing the warranty coverage as to do so i have to take the vehicle to their authorized shop and the dealership is not one of their authorized shop, which is surprising. Since dealer told me to replace the tire immediately, my first priority was to get new tires and with such worst experience with goodyear, i didn't wanted them again. And they will not accept their tire for warranty if they are not on the wheel. Very ridiculous rules that puts greedy profit before safety! my dealer also found this odd. I want money back for almost half of the total mileage promised by goodyear but they are too corrupt and so they have nhtsa also on their side to bring anything against them.
