Vehicle has had erratic handling/steering since day one.has been in dealership for problem 7 times.they say no problem brought to independent alignment shops and frame shop.they determined that rear axle was off center therefore causing the tracking to be off and preventing a proper alignment and causing erratic steering and having to constantly correct the steering wheel while driving.

A new goodyear wrangler rt/s tire (not at/s as shown on your pulldown menu),disintegrated while traveling on i-81 in virginia at approximate 65 mph.the tire was one of two wrangler rt/s tires installed on the front of the vehicle earlier in the week at chandler's auto repair in herndon, va.the driver maintained control and pulled the vehicle (1996 jeep grand cherokee) safely to the side of the road.i checked the inflation before we departed on our trip and it was 34 lbs.the occupants in the vehicle reported seeing no objects on the road, potholes or other road hazards--just a sudden pop and then pieces of black material flying by the vehicle.i do not have the remnants of the tire, which was replaced at the wal-mart in staunton, va, but i do have photographs taken at the site.the failure occurred immediately north of exit 225 (southbound) on i-81.this is approximately 160 miles from our home.allowing for a few errands before departing on our trip, i doubt the tire had more than 200-225 miles on it before it failed.the weather was fair and dry and the air temperature 86 f.i-81 is smooth and in excellent condition at the location of the failure.while i did not report the failure to the police, a virginia state safety patrol vehicle stopped and may have a record.the tread was relatively intact but appears to have separated from the rest of the tire.

I bought a goodyear tire for my jeep liberty and the tire failed and upon inspection there was a tear on the side wall of the tire which was unrepairable and had to be replaced . This is a defectin the tire and not from road hazards

On aug. 11,2012 while towing my 5th wheel hitchhiker trailer at about 1800 hours at a speed of about65 mph at mm106 eastbound on i-94 near miles city, mt. In the right lane, a fellow driver in the leftlane pulled along side of me & rapidly honked his horn & pointing at my trailer.i looked in my rear looking left mirror & the trailer&was still tracking straight & i felt no pulling on the truck by the trailer. I pulled off at the next off ramp a short distance away as the traffic was on the busy side. After getting pulled over i looked at my trailer tireson the drivers side & discovered that the front axle tire, drivers side had blown out. The tire was gone off of the rim except for the tire beads on both sides of the rim. The rear axle tire had a large bulge in the tread area. I called my roadside service to come out & replace the tire with my spare ( this was now at about 2130 hours & very dark so we drove to the next rest area to spend the night as i didn't want to drive the interstate in the dark with no spare.i drove to a tire shop in miles city & had both left tire replaced with new ones, the tire shop then examined the right side tires & found that the rear one had read separation, then both right side tires were replaced with new ones. The 4 replaced tires were replaced in 2008 by goodyear under warranty with new tires because of tread cracking in the groves.i feel the tire blew because of tread separation. Damage to my trailer included w/well skirt broke & was torn loose, w/well water membrane was heavily damaged, directional light wiring torn, black water drain tube cover torn off and the side of the trailer was heavily blackened by the whipping of the blown tire tread before being thrown off to who knows where.the two pieces of the blown tire bead have been sent to goodyear via fed ex, the tire dealer in miles city has the other 3 tires until such time as what goodyear wants to do with them.

The contact owns a 2012 gmc canyon. The vehicle was equipped with goodyear wrangler at/s tires, size lt265/70r17. While driving approximately 45 mph, the low tire warning indicator illuminated. Immediately afterwards, the rear passenger side tire went flat. The contact had to stop on the side of the road. The contact pulled the tire off and brought it to the tire shop where it was diagnosed that a bubble the size of a baseball was present in the center of the tread. The tire was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The dot number was unknown. The approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 41,500.
