Problem with steering wheel shaking badly while braking.i was told i needed new tires at first soon after ownership.i bought this maxima new in 2003 with about 10 miles on it.couple years later had to take back to dealership for bad tires/cracking on the sidewalls.had two new tires put on and had the rotors machined.problem recurred almost immediately after having rotors machined with some improvement, but now the problem is worse than ever.bought two more tires and was told to replace the rotors when i am going to replace the brakepads, which has already been done once.fog light also had to be replaced while getting an inspection.had to replace a battery which made my gas gauge fail/currently does not work. Put gas in every 300 miles so i don't get stranded on the road.care runs badly and i feel very unsafe in this vehicle/considering getting rid of it as soon as possible.i believe nissan should take this vehicle off the road before it seriously hurts somebody.

The contact owns a 2004 chrysler sebring.the vehicle has goodyear eagle gt ii tires, size p275/60r15.while driving approximately 60 mph, the tread separated from the rear driver's side tire without warning.the tire was changed and the vehicle was driven away.the vehicle was damaged.the current and failure mileages were 39,000.
I own a2006 chevrolet impala with goodyear eagle ls2 tires as original equipment (m-s p225/55r17 95t,dot m643 bhdr 3905).i was advised that all tires on the vehicle had a defect which caused the tread to separate from the tire in the same spot.the tires still had from 7/32 to 9/32 tread remaining. Having taken off one tire to inspect it properly, the defect was found to be so bad that the dealer would not remount the tire on to the vehicle under california law.at the direction of goodyear, the defective tires were then taken to be inspected by a goodyear dealer and the defect was again confirmed.the identified defect could cause failure of a tire at any time without advance warning.as a result all tires of this manufacturing lot should be recalled immediately.
My 2011 bmw 535xi tire (245/40r-19 goodyear eagle ls-2 runonflat bmw runflat x) needed to be changed twice in one year due to bubble on tire wall. I do not remember going over any potholes or bumps.
Our 2007 mazda s 2.3l 5 door sedan bought new came with goodyear eagle rsa 205/50r17 tires. We maintain this car well and regularly.march/april 2008 with 28,000 miles we experienced a tire failure. Thread separation, progressive hard flapping noise, and air pressure loss.took it to goodyear tire and we were told the tire failed, thread separation, and another tire too had same problem. We bought two replacement new tires.sept 2010 with 53,000 miles the other two original tires are failing same manner. Progressive loud flapping noise and pressure loss. The tires are worn but have plenty of thread depth, and we were told at goodyear a month ago they did not need replacement yet when we asked.it seems that these tires in this vehicle are failing rather than wearing out.so, i'm now off to goodyear to buy 2 new tires again!
Have a 2007 toyota matrix--was less than one year old and had approx 17000 miles.notice the tire looked low on air one day--removed the tire to check for nails or damage and found no--so took the tire to a garage and they put the tire in a water bath and found a leak on the side wall--i tool the goodyear eagle tire to a good year dealer--as that was the original tire on the car--they would not replace the tire--so decided to buy a new set of michelins.when the goodyear tire was removed from the rim the mechanic showed it to me and the bead on the side wall--about that is in the vicinity where the sidewall and tread are joined was severely cracked--he said it was a blow out waiting to happen and definite defective tire for less than a year old vehicle and only 17,000 miles.
Lincoln ls '05 with eagle gt hr 225/55 16, numerous flat tires on all 4, some tires as many as three nails or screws. Steel belts unable to resist puncture. All filled with slime now. Lots of tread left.-won't balance, shudders at 70mph.-pulls to the left. Tried alignments and swapping tires and wheels all around. No change.
1.i was driving on the expressway outside of chicago with my daughter on her way to college. 2.the rear right tire blew out at 65 miles an hour.fortunately i was in the right lane and near an exit.i slowed down, exited and pulled into a truck stop.3.i was able to get someone at the truck stop to help me put on the spare tire after it was determined that the tire was unrepairable. I put the tire a goodyear / eagle rs-a / p235/55r18 99v in the spare compartment and was able to drive to chicago.

I have a 2009 silverado crew cab that came with goodyear eagle ls-2 tires--dot m62a bcer.also, my silverado came with a tire monitoring system.on 1 may 2010 i was driving in a residential area of wylie, texas, very slowly, probably around 5 mph because there were cars parked on both sides of the street and people standing by their vehicles talking.immediately after passing between the cars the rear driver's side back tire collapsed, apparently a blowout. I called my insurance roadside assistance that changed my tires.i asked the man who changed my tires if he had a compressor on his tow truck, and he did.because he or i neither one could see any nails nor anything else protruding into the tire, i asked him to air the tire up.he aired the tire up and immediately said here is your problem'air blowing out of the side of the tire. I looked the road over where the tired collapsed, but found nothing.twenty minutes earlier i was traveling on u.s. 75 in plano, texas going 60 mph in heavy traffic.my silverado will let me know if my tires are low.i had no warning before there was an apparent blowout.the tire had 27,700 miles, plus or minus a couple of miles, at the time it collapsed.the tire had good thread and had been routinely rotated. The tire monitoring system let me know when i put the spare on that i should check the tire.i have notified goodyear of this incident.
