2004 chevrolet colorado experiencing problems with the air bags, defective tires, body structure, water leakage, electrical problems, and slippage of the automatic transmission.***no answer required***. *mr the starter was stuck, the wiring harness in the roof laying on the door caused a short when the door was fully opened, power mirror was inoperative, the door locks opened on their own and there were missing screws in the fender.the consumer requested reimbursement for the replaced tires and for the missing screws. *scthe master switch wa replaced and the seams behind the brake booster area were resealed.

While at a complete stop, i was hit from the rear by a car traveling about 30mph.upon impact the driver's seat collapsed and came off track.the airbags did not deploy.because of the severity of the damage, i contacted nissan to find out what needed to be done to prevent tthis from happening again because if my children were in the back seat, any child behind me would have been crushed to death.nissan said that the seat was supposed to collapse as a saftey mecahanism.i am still undergoing therapy for injury to my low back, which hurt upon impact, and my neck and shoulders.i want this seat fixed.i would rather have whiplash, which i sustained anyway, than crush one of my children to death.( dot number: tire size: p205/60r15 )

We bought this van as a conversion van. We have been very unhappy with the perofrmance of the van. We have had the airconditing repaired twice. The battery failed many times. One time the alternator was replaced. There has always been a clonking noise when braking that the dealer can identify. The tires wore out just after they were a year old. A vehicle which is less than three years old suffers a failed clutch on the air conditioner. After checking into possible part recalls through nhtsa, a hard copy shows the layout of what the part should look like , with serial numbers to identify the part. Upon inspection of the compressor, no serial numbers were found, just what type of refridgerant should be used. This leads me to believe the part i now possess is not the original part that was used at time of manufacture. Further research has shown that this problem is frequent with the taurus, but my specific model has yet to be listed. I now wish to make it known. The theory of the part not being the original seems to be something that was passed over and suppressed from the consumer. Additionally, as of 09/15/00 one of the power windows failed and no longer works. This on a vehicle less than three years old. I previously owned a vehicle for ten years and never had these sort of problems. I wish to relay the information of what i have gone through with this model for the record. Engineers have been trying five years to resolve, they cannot fix problem.brake system has abnormal wear for age of car, rotors have been turned and ground twice in 18 months. Power steering problem - when you turn the steering wheel, there is an unusual noiseand you can feel a viberation while parked and while moving. I took this car to the dealer i purched the car from on sept. 14, 2001. Mr. Jay wakefield ,general manager and mr. Tom berry, service manager acknowledged my problem. However, both said the manufacturer was aware of the problem because it has happened to other cars. So far they have not found the solution. They also said i would have to live with the problem until the mfg. Notifies them what to do. I do not feel safe driving the car in this condition. The tires have been an on going problem since i purchased this car. Wakefield buick did put two new tires on several weeks after i purchased. The tires causes the car to viberate when you get up to 60 mph and up. I mentioned this problem to jay wakefield but he was not symphetic with my tire problem. I will have to put new tires on at my expense. I know several people that has bought buick lesabres and they had the same problem i am having. This vehicle has a tendency to sway or oversteer when going around corners.this vehicle is equipped with general hp 400 a/s tires, dot number acur 3hu 5200 dx 67614 33712.the manual calls for pressure of 29 psi front and rear.the sway is very pronounced at this low pressure.a suggestion from the toyota garage and tire dealer was to increase the tire pressure to 34 psi.with the tires inflated to 34 psi it is now very unstable when driving in gusty winds.consumer feels this is either a tire problem or something dealing with the suspension. *jg

The inside right rear tire on my new 2000 - f-350 dual wheel truck peeled on the face and sides while traveling on interstate highway i-10 at approximately 65 miles an hour. This truck has not been used to transport any heavy weight, just to travel between my home in scottsdale, az and quartzsite. Az (a distance of about 142 miles). The other tires on the truck (all the same original tires that came with the truck) show signs that they also may peel and/or separate. In october 2000 the state of arizona replaced all of their general tires because of peeling (i came across an article in the paper while researching if there was a recall on these general tires). These tires, with only about 6600 miles on them and plenty of tread left are a hazard to any driver having them on his/her car. Luckily the defective tire on my truck was on one of the dual inside back wheels. I have contacted the dealer, bell ford and will take the vehicle to the dealership in the next few days. All four of these general ameri gs60 genseal tires were in dangerous condition, as certified by two tire dealers, after less than 16,000 miles. The tires had been maintained with proper inflation and rotation throughout their life but both dealers said all four showed dangerous rot on sidewalls and signs of tread separation. General offered to replace all four at no cost but would offer only the same tires as replacement which i declined. I had brought the tires to dealers to have them rebalanced after the vehicle began to shake at speeds of about 75 mph. I declined general's offer because i did not want the same tires back on the vehicle after all four had failed. I believe ford was negligent in failing to record key facts about the failure of these tires despite my attempts to offer the information on their customer service line. Ford never asked for or accepted information about the tire models that had failed or any other information. They simply referred me to general. The tires were oem equipment when i bought the car. Both my right and left front tires have developed sidewall failures-one at under 12000 miles and one at under 15000 miles.tires have developed large sidewall bubbles or convexities of around 3 inches in diameter and 1 inch in height. Ford does not warranty the tires so i've had to deal with general tire. A person at the 800 phone number for general tire mentioned that this could be two isolated defects, perhaps a bad batch, or perhaps the tire selected by ford may not be appropriate for the weight of the vehicle. This is consistent with my concerns, as the truck has a diesel motor which is quite heavy, and both front tires developed the same problem early in the tires' treadwear. One tire dealer said he's seen it before, so i am concerned that the tire cannot stand up tot he weight of the diesel engine. Ford says to contact general tire, and general tire will only warranty the individual tire as it fails. Nobody seems to have the responsibility for warranting that the tire is appropriate for the vehicle. This may be two rare and isolated incidences, but i feel that 100% front tire failure is a safety concern that warrants looking into. I submitted a claim to general tire for my bent rim they replied with a letter claiming that there was a nail in the tread, which caused the tire to fail.
