Brakes always felt weak since purchase of car in july 2004, car collided at low speed with a car in front of it when brake pedal was pressed to the floor, as the driver in front of my car was not paying attention to traffic and was driving a van that could not be seen around, and proceeded to lock his brakes to avoid rear-ending the car in front of him. Faulty anti-skid valve caused back wheel brakes to be inoperable, allowing no fluid through. Break lines were rusted through and leaked fluid once the valve had been replaced. Brake calipers were also ceased and had to be replaced. Master cylinder and break booster also faulty. Problem is now better but after approx $1500 problem is still not right- car refuses to stop moving when car had not been run for a day or more. It must be shifted into neutral to stop the car. Problem goes away after engine warms up. No vacuum leaks, proper vacuum pressure at all times.

At 65 mph on ny i-87s - without any warning my toyota tacoma suddenly dragged to the right.guided truck to the right shoulder - went to see what had happened.found passenger side rear tire was not intact.found the tire tread was wrapped around the axel - separated from the rim. Have never seen anything like this. Tire was demolished.contacted tire manufacturer (continental/general) and dealer (mavis).they informed me that there was nothing they could do.tire was warrantied for 60k miles - i had <17k on tire.

I purchased 4 new 70,000 mile general altimax rt tires in february 2013 from walmart #3581. The tires now have exactly 10,774 miles on them. They are making loud thumping noises that i describe as a helicopter sound. The sound varies depending on vehicle speed, but it seems most noticeable around 35-50 miles per hour. Steering is difficult, and the car feels unstable. 70k tires should last longer than 10,774 miles on passenger car. These tires are defective and dangerous.

Dt: contact statedthe tires wore out. The original front tires were replaced because they wore out from the inside. The replacement tires were also wearing out. The dealer did not offer any explanation for the tire wear.updated 12/27/05.

The contact owns a 2011 chevrolet colorado with general general usa tires, size p215/70r16, dot number: 4309.the contact was driving 55 mph when a loud noise was heard and the vehicle began to pull to the right. The contact merged to the shoulder where she noticed that the rear driver side tire had blown. The tire was replaced by the spare tire. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.the failure mileage was 17,000.

Tire and vehicle vibration and noise problem, increasing at higher speeds (60-70 mph) with my newly purchased 2005 buick lasabre in july 2005.two dealerships did extensive inspections, road tests, tire rebalancing and stabilizer repairs and were not able to resolve the problem of vibration and noise. They advised calling gm customer assistance for help, who prepared file no. 1-355945989 as unresolved, and recommended i file this complaint with your offices.

I have a 2001 toyota camry that i bought new.at present the car has just 20,000miles on the odometer. The car came equipped with general hp 400 a/s tires. At present the tires have approximately 3/16 tread depth.my complaints are:1. While driving on a wet blacktop road at about 30 mph , i gently applied the brakes for a changing traffic signal.at that time the tires lost traction and the car slid into the intersection. This occurred dec. 2004.2.while starting from a stop sign on a slight upgrade, the tires lost traction and spun. This occurred jul 2005.i am to the point where i feel the car is unsafe to drive in the rain or even on wet pavement.do you have any similar complaints with these tires ?

Dt*: the contact stated the vehicle vibrated badly at any speed.the dealership aligned the front end, balanced the tires, and rotated the tires three times to correct the vibration, but the problem persisted.the dealership determined the left front tire's belt was broken and replaced the tire.on june 10, 2006, the tread on the left front tire detached and caused extensive damage to the vehicle.

Blow out of tire on interstate 90 in madison at 70 mph. Sidewall of tire disintegrated. Nearly lost control. Tire was a general altimax hp, size 255/60-17 on a 2004 buick renier.. Tire had approximately 30000 miles. And had been rotated and balanced.

As my wife and i traveled in the state of florida on 5-28-2007, my rear tire came apart causing my vehicle to spin 360 degrees and causing damage to my vehicle due to the incident.thank god, the traffic surrounding my car was not affected by my spinning.the damage to the car was temporarily secured by the highway road ranger and i was required to drive at very low speed on the highway to reach my destination.

While traveling at 65 mphnoticed vehicle riding roughdue to tire tread separation. Please provide further information.
