Futura 875 tires made by bridgestone firestone with tread separation on all 4 tires. These tires seem never to have existed. They are not futura 775 tires they are futura 875 tires.these tires were purchased july 2001 at a time when dangerous tires were in the news for roll over accident's killing people. Yet pepboys never notified us they were defective. Now the tread separation on all 4 tires is very obvious and the tires must be replaced.clearly there are still defective dangerous tires on the road waiting to harm a trusting public. Why?
Defective tires.steel belts split.tires ready to explode. Futura 775 purchased at pep boys 02/2005.less than 10,000 miles driven on 55,000 tire.showed tires to 4 different auto shops and asked if this was a normal thing or if it wasa defective tire?all 4 said it was a manufacturing defect, including the people in the pep boys garage.the manager of the store said it was not a defect and would not replace the tires, but offered to sell me a couple of new tires.
While driving felt severe vibration and loud noise at all speeds and car pulling to the right hard.vibration became worse about 8 miles later, car was not drivable and almost ran off the road.the tread separated from the tire.pulled over, put the spare on.pep boys replaced both front tires, the other tire had tread failure also.pep boys refused to give me the defective tires.
I purchased a full set of futura 775 p205/65r15 tires for 1998 honda accord on 05/01/2005 from pep boys store. Within aprox. 6 months, two of the tires developed broken/ separated belts causing severe handling/ drivable problems. The store was reluctant to replace all tires, but replaced the two faulty tires with 2000lte tires. Now a third tire has developed the same issue. I replaced it with a good used tire and have kept the broken one for possible return to store.
