Slowed vehicle to turn corner, tire started to smoke then blew out.when tire taken off to replace, the tire that blew out had a cut/tear approx. 4 inches above the rim. (dot number: vdx8551tiresize: p215/60r16)
Firestone, supreme, si, p215/70r15, dot unknown, replacement equipment with 30000-35000 miles on a 1998, ford, windstar.tire could not be balanced, firestone dealer noticed indentations near tread on all 4 tires. Tires had to be replaced.

Was driving on interstate 75 and heard a loud pop then thumping rear drivers side tire blewout. It blew a hole in side on tire the size of a softball. Tires still had a lot of tread looked really good.
Dt: contact statedwhiledriving on the interstate on 7-24-05 at a speed of 68 mph the tread separated and the tire blew out. This was on the left rear tire. There was roughly 40,000 miles on a 60,000 rated tire. Also, had another tire separate, but not blowout last february 20-04 on the same set of tires. He replaced that tire under warranty. The recommended psi i was 35. There were no lights to come on prior to tire failure.the consumer did feel a minor vibration and it blew within 200 yards.

On 8-06-2005 while driving 45 to 50 m.p.h. On county road jb in racine county the front drivers tire separated causing damage to the fender,inner fender,ripped the bolt out,ripped out the directional light, and damage drivers rocker panel.the driver side rear tire and passenger front tires are also showing signs of separation.these are firestone p205/75r15 tires, dotw201838.i was able to drive home on the damaged tire.since this just happened yesterday, this is the first step i have taken in reporting this incident.

Pe00020 not original equipment, 1991 chevrolet van 20, 21575r15.while traveling on thehighway, vehicle was running very rough, and vibrated. Consumer got out to check tire, and saw nothing. Consumer returned to driving at 65 mph and heard apop. Then, saw tread flying everywhere, it was the drivers side rear tire, swerved widely on the roll, but was able to keep control of vehicle.

Tire tread separation with near loss of vehicle control at 65 mph in a straight line. Tire pressure about 30 psi. Vehicle was empty except for driver. An identical tire on this vehicle also had tread separation, but failure was not dramatic. (dot number: vdhh1lh416tiresize: p225/75r15)
