We first had the front brakes pull right we had the truck in 2-3 times for that problem they finally fixed it. But now the brakes pull left.they do not know how to fix the problem.the engine/electrial problem.all of the sudden everything electical quits working. I didn't know how to classify this problem.they replace a module and it still happens. We are awaiting for them to fix again.on the tires one blew out in the middle of the night on a very dark road 1 mile from the house my husbad drove it home took it in the next day and the refused to fix because he drove on it.approx a month later we were on a road driving only approx 45 mph. My husband felt something when we were at a light,we pulled in to a store just passed the light got out and the back right tire had blown.we changed the tire took it in and they said they are not on a recall even through they clearly had the white ring all around the tire where it had come apart.we replaced the tires with cooper tires.we still have the tires.goodyear inspected and agreed it was due to poor manufacturing. On the warranty problems we contacted the manufacture arbitration board. They stated since we use the truck for business we can not have the truck replaced.no where in any of my documentation states that.if this were so we would not have bought the truck.the dealership knew we used the truck for business.the business consist of a handyman business.the most we do to the truck is put on miles. First time traveling 55-65mph for approximately 100 miles on interstate, motorhome (ford e450 dual rear axel) started to shake and within a few seconds we heard a loud bang. Pulled over and saw that the right outside rear tire had all of the tread come off. The second time (approximately 10 days later) after driving 60-65mph about 100 to 150 miles of interstate the vehicle started shaking and we immediately pulled over. We found this time that the left inside rear tire had approximately 1/4 of the tread off the tire. We had both tires inspected seperately by tire repair persons and both times each had indicated that the failure was not due to the tire hitting or scraping anything..(dot number: vdtiresize: lt22575r16)

First failure at 15900 miles was a tread separation and blowout.second failure at 20445 miles was a tread separation only. (tire did not deflate)tires were loaded near the maximum load range and properly inflated. (dot number: vdw81xm509tiresize: lt265/7516)

After driving on pavement, air temp 71 degrees for 45 minutes - the tire just came apart.there is a gaping hole down the center. We had another steeltex on the same vehicle loose its tread 8 weeks ago, and reported it here.this is the second firestone steeltex orginal tire on the rv that has fallen apart.we even had it inspected three days ago, and the pressure checked.because it is an rv the weight is considerable.the original tires just can't seem to hold up. Now we are wondering if the vehicle is safe to drive.we had it inspected by a firestone dealer three days ago, and obviously they couldn't diagnose what was about to happen.this is very scary, a 12,000 pound vehicle loosing tires, twice in 8 weeks. We purchase 4 of these tire and within 1 year we have had two blowouts, one blowout, causing a wreck and the other blowout did not result in a wreck. (dot number: vnhk radtiresize: lt235/r15)

Front tire blew out (tread separated) at 70 mph, lost control, did not wreck, minor damage to vehicle fender. I have pictures of the tire if you would like to have them. I have removed the mate to this tire because the scare i had. (dot number: vdor65b187tiresize: 23585r16 m)

While driving, two tires blew out on separate occasions.the sidewalls cracked before the tires blew out.

Driver's side front tire blewout.tire dealer said tire failure was due to tread separation. (dot number: vd1l 1xdtiresize: lt225-75r1)

Inside dual sidewall blew out completely due to tread separation.( dot number: n/a tire size: lt22575r16 )

Tread loss 10/29/1999, one tire, tread loss 7/28/2000, two tires. (tiresize: lt23585r16)( dot number: tire size: lt23585r16 )

On 4 different occasions have suffered tread seperation on 4 tires. (tiresize: 225/75r16)( dot number: tire size: 225/75r16 )

This tire was the replacement for the first firestone tire that blew out. Tire shows signs of tread to sidewall separation & driver stated that sidewall of tire "bubbled out" along the entire sidewall of tire approximately 4-5 inches.( dot number: vdw81xl tire size: 265/75r16 )

Tire tread separation.(dot number: w10ptiresize: lt215/85r1)

Tread completely separated from rest of tire causing damage to right rear of vehicle.tire has been sent to firestone for "inspection" & they determined there were no defects.i would like to have another opinion as to what the cause of the tire failure was.i would also like to know more details on pe 00040 on these specific tires.i notice that the pe was closed april 2002 but i have not found any details on the investigation of these tires.

Due to a bad valve stem, the tire and rim were removed from the vehicle and taken to a tire dealership (big o tires) in monument co. For repair. The valve stem was removed and replaced without the trie being removed from the rim. The tire was reinflated to manufacturer specsof 80 psi cold. The tire and rim were picked up and placed in the back of my jeep grand cherokee for transportation back to my residence. After about 5 minutes of being in the back of the jeep, the tire exploded tearing a 6 inch gash in the sidewall of the tire, an inch and a quarter from the tread surface. The tire had been inflated all of 10 minutes when it exploded. I immedeately returned back to big o tires and confirmed the tire pressure they had placed in the tire. I showed them the tire and explained how it seemed to seld-distruct in the back on my vehicle. Again, the tire was not under pressure as it was only in the back of my jeep. They , big o tires, felt that there had to be a manufacturer defect in the tire and suggested that it be taken to firestone for examination. The tire was taken to firestone of chaple hills. Upon examination, they immedeately identified the problem as the tire being cut from the outside and not their problem. I explained the nature of the incident numerous times to the firestone people but received no help. I returned to big o tires and advised them of what firestone had said. They explained that a cut in the tire could clearly not be the case as if it had been cut to the depth of cutting the sidewall belting, it would have never been able to hold the pressure that they had put into it. They continue to believe, as do i, that there was some type of defect in the construction of the tire. Firestone treated me as if i had cut the tire and made up a story in order to save having to purchase a new tire. There was no reason to purchase a new tire, prior to this explosion, as the tread wear was minimal. (dot number: voil1xa366tiresize: lt22575r16)
