Was driving approximately 75mph when the tread separated from the tire. This caused the vehicle to be steered towards a hill and bounced off it. The vehicle then rolled over and landed onto the lane, on its roof. Firestone wilderness at; size p255 70r16. Ts
I have just purchased a 2001 ford explorer sport that was sitting for a> year as part of an estate.> > >> > > this car has fireston wilderness tires p255 70r16 1095 m+s. Which have been recalled. Ford & firestone refuse to replace these tires becausethe time allotted expired
My passenger rear tire blew out nearly tipping my truck over. I was able to gain control and pull to the side while the cars behind nearly caused an accident trying to avoid hitting debree from the tire. I noticed that my tire had not blown but the entire tread was missing. The tires on my truck are the wildreness at p255/70r16 dotw2co 1px 158. In my opinion all these tires blow out the same way and should all be recalled!
P255/70r16 front driver tire tread separated from tire while i was driving on highway interstate 895. My fender is damaged... And i am now scared to drive on highway with these tires.i kept the old damaged tire as evidence.can you please help me to see if i can be reimbursed and /or receive new tire replacements and a rental car until all this is resolved?
Purchased car on 1/17/2008 as demo 2007 w/6314 mion way home car was pulling to rightwas found to have a shifted steel belt on driverside front tire.tire was replaced. We wanted all the tires replaced becausevisually the defect may not be detected. The dealership refused because gmac policies are that it has to be proven there is a defect.if we had a blowout at highway speeds and were injured or killed i guess they would replace them.we were told that sometimes a bleb is seen but not always. We replaced all the tires w/coopers at our expense. Major recalls on ford explorers took place in 2000,2003, 2004.
