Consumer received recall 04v332000 concerning front coil springs. No parts were available.service manager walter.front driver'sside tire exploded while driving.firestone, fr440, p215/60r16.

Consumer has a 1998 toyota, camry.front tires were replaced with firestone . Tire size p195/70r14, dot# unknown, aproximate mileage 12,000 on tires. Tires were riding very funny.toyota dealer checkedalignment, it was okay.they found a flat spot, and the it was defective. On february 2, 2001 they were replaced.consumer will take them back where they purchased them.

Dt*: the contact stated the front passenger side tire tread separated from the tire, destroying the front control panel of the vehicle.the tire indicated the recommended psi as 34 and it has been kept to that standard.the tire was approximately one year old when this incident occurred.there was no abnormal bulging and the vehicle had no vibration. There was also no more than 15000 miles on the tire.

Left front tire blew out at 60 mph on the highway with only 82 miles on the brand new car. I had 2 passangers at the time. This happened at 8 pm and traffic was light on i-84 in connecticut.i was able to move the car to the shoulder and had it towed to the dealership. (tiresize: p185/65r15)

Brand new set of 4 tires, fr440 (dot no.hyrc4fb4703) p195/65r14 purchased from firestone in may 2005.checked air and adjusted after 100 miles as advised, and monthly thereafter.july 13th, 3000 miles later, front driver-side tire blew, while doing 70 mph at 6am (not hot enough for tires to be too hot, only on road for approx. 7 minutes when it happened).golf ball size holes in a pattern blown out half way around the tire on the sidewall, and can see the pattern continuing the rest of the way.firestone replaced tire for $9 due to my road hazard purchase, but wouldn't cover the cost to get a new wheel, control arm, sway bar, axle, strut & strut mount.$500 worth of damage to my 97 mazda 626lx; could've been more, but a friend, my boyfriend & myself did all of the work.a shop would have been much more costly.firestone tennessee office "investigated" and blamed it on: "our inspection showed deformation and rim flange grooving...we did observe signs that the tire has been operated for an unkown period of time in an over-deflected state causing the detachment you experienced."the first shop we took it to at the time of the incident advised us that it was a faulty tire and even though they'd sell us a new tire, to take it back to where we purchased it as the seller should be responsible; that if it was their tire, they'd replace the tire, wheel & pay for any other damage as a result.wished i had bought my tires from them.

Firestone fr440 purchased new for 99 chevrolet s-10 pickup with 33,900 miles.after new tires had 150 miles on them, i had a blow out at 65 mph on the freeway.the tire was shredded, sidewall looked really thin. I was traveling along interstate 10, at approximately 60 mph. The visibility was clear; the roadway was clear of any obstructions.the tread on the right rear tire completely separated from the tire.i did not hit anything to cause this tread separation.the tire had just been inspected/rotated by a firestone dealer within the previous month.when the tread separated from the tire, the loose tread hit the rear quarter panel on my truck causing $2,000 worth of damages. Vehicle was travels along 113 in kankakee il at approx 55 mph, as vehicle entered a bend the right front tire tread separated from the vehicles right front tire causing the vehicle to go into a left side spin over the embankment and into a fence poll. Vehicle did roll possibly two time. Vehicle was completely destroyed, if anybody else was in the vehicle they would be dead. Vehicle was a 94 buick century in good mech shape inspected aprox 1,000 mile prior to accident. The driver stated the was driving fine up to the accident, no vibrations, pulling, noise etc.

Traveling 65 mph for 32 minutes after a cold start (vehicle not on road for 12 hours), vehicle developed a shimmy as if a tire was out of balance.before i could pull off the road (approximately 3 seconds after the shimmy developed), the driver side rear tire tread partially separated from the tire body, from the center of the tread to the side wall.parts of the sidewall also separated and the tire explosively lost pressure.the vehicle was uncontrollable and spun out on the grass median.damage to the driver rear fender flair, dr quarter panel, dr inside fenderwell and partial separation of the driver side rear bumper skin, all due to treat separation.

While driving on interstate 75 between naples and miami florida, the tread on my firestone fr 440 tire separated which cause my ford ranger truck to fish tail on highway.i controlled the vehicle to a stop on shoulder of the highway.called police and they dispatched road service.the firestone p205/70r14 93s m+s tread separated from the tire.the tired did not go flat.the separated tread destroyed the passenger side rear wheel well, tail pipe and part of the vehicle body around wheel well.

The tire lost it tread and did not blow out. The tires had less the 10k miles. The tread seperated in raton new mexico for my daughter (600 miles from home). She obtain a different manufacture tire and i don't have the orginal. The other 3 tires have the codes 31824ur bm19735 and 32746urbm199735. I could not find the dot number on the side it must have been on the inside of the tire. (tiresize: p225/60r16)

Pe 00 020/tire tread separation: while traveling at highway speed of 70 mph, noticed a thumping noise. Pulled vehicle over to the side ofroad, and saw tread separation onright rear tire.
