On a recent service visit to lexus on august 4, 2010 i was informed that 'all 4 dunlop tires are showing the metal cords out of them and are unsafe to drive'.each time i bring the vehicle in for service i request that they check tire, brake wear and tire pressure.on december 9, 2009 i was informed that i had sufficient tread left on the tires and that the brakes were fine.at that time the mileage on my vehicle was 19,235 miles. I question how my tires went from safe to drive to unsafe to drive in 3,198 miles.additionally all four tires have 7/32nds of tread-ware remaining in the center of each tire.lexus claims this inside tread-ware is due to soft tires.had i not been conscientious in checking my tires i believe these tires would have blown out.
My 2010 harley davidson fatboy has worn out the tires at 4500 miles. Now the bike has a shake in the front end.the dealer said that it's probably the tires. This condition is unsafe.i have not ever spun these tire and they have been at recommended pressure since new in jan. 2010.these are dunlop oem tires.

I had a sidewall blow out with a three week old dunlop tire while merging on to an on ramp at 40 miles per hour.the tire lost pressure immediately and caused temporary loss of control of the car.the weather was only and 30 degrees, and i openly had myself and empty trunk car.the tires were purchased at an authorized goodyear dealer and installed with a set of equally sized four tires. Corporate and retail goodyear people will only replace the tire if they can be proved that it was defect in the manufacturing of the tire, not with installation or any other charaterisitics.the prevoius tire on that rim was a goodyear tire that lasted 45000 miles without incident, so rim damage appear to be not likely.
I have noticed a bubble on the sidewall of my tire with only 10,000 miles on it.the tire is a dunlop spsport 5000 225/45r17 91v m&s.have there been more complaints of this problem or of any accidents leading to tire blowouts?thanksmike baum

Dunlop sp 20 tires size 185/65-14. One tire seperated and caused damage to vehicle. In addition other 3 tires on vehicle were well on way to seperation. Had to purchase 4 tires.
