Left rear tire tread separation on dunlop grand trek at 21265/70/r16 on toyota sequoia 2002, while traveling at 65 mph. I don't know exactly yetif the vehicle is total loss or if can be repaired because as consequence of tread separation the vehicle lost control and crashed into the concrete wall and is badly damage. My daughter and i were injured, but not too bad but. In addition the air bags did not come out after the impact. I am looking for some legal advise to see if dunlop company will honor my loss and toyota company. I bought this suv as "certified use vehicle" and the expiration date will be on 2008.

Premature tire wear, thedealer did not know what is causing the front tires to show premature wear.this is on a 2003 tundra t-3 with dunlap tires.i am not the only person with this type of tire wear, it starts on the vehicle at about 15,000 miles

2006 toyota sequoia, sr5; dunlop at20 grandtrek tires, p265/65r17; 4k miles; since new, vehicle has a shimmy starting at 32 mph and beyond; dealership has inspected 3 times, reportedly re-balancing wheels once and equalized all tire pressures.problem not solved!test drove another like vehicle, similar problem.other same vehicles' owners have similar complaints.reported to toyota customer service; no resolution!please advise of any similar problems with tires/rims/vehicle/warping of drive axle, etc.thank you.

Our 05 toyota sequoia bought new with original tires(dunlop grand trek at20). Almost right away noticed the tires wearing oddly on outside of all 4 tires. We purchased toyota's service plan & took it in as suggested every 5,000 miles. My wife told a service man & was told it was expected. I took it in & they rotated the tires again. Going against toyota's recommendation(every other oil change). I didn't see how rotating them sooner would stop the problem. I have noticed the traction on them failing even on dry road and this is the only form of transportation for my wife and 2 year old son. Looking online i have found toyota had complaints for the same problem since 2003. There's even several ones for the same exact car as ours. Others had serious problems & i am wanting to avoid an accident. These tires are unsafe and we want them replaced the outside edge on all 4 of ours have been bald over 10,000 miles. Yet toyota says its ok. Are they trying to push us off until the warranty is expired? oh, dunlop's web site said to go to the dealer, toyota's handbook said to go to the tire co.? i don't care who said what i bought the sequoia new from toyota with the tires they put on it & they have known about this problem for over 3 years now. Someone needs to step up and take care of this before there's an accident & someone really gets hurt. I'm going to take it in for the 30,000 on 1/3/07 & attempt to resolve the issue again. However i have noticed every review states that the new tires(same ones) do the same thing. One person has already had them replaced twice. We should get safe tires that last (with normal care & wear)as long or even close to the time expected we paid for it!. If you do some on line searches you won't have to look long to see many other people with this exact problem. These tires are very unsafe and misleading. Please help!bought this suv to keep my family safe. Thank you. Concerned husband and father.

The contact owns a 2005 toyota tacoma.the vehicle has dunlop grand trek tires.whenever the vehicle is driven over 35 mph, the front end begins to vibrate.the tires have not been diagnosed by the dealer.the failure has occurred ever since the vehicle was purchased.the current and failure mileages were 26,000.

Tires keep getting worn out.

While driving on tx us-59 nb righthand lane going approx. 65 mph, the right rear tire failed. I managed to regain control of the vehicle and stop on the highway shoulder. What i found was a very hot tire which had remained inflated, but had lost approx. 75% of the tread circumference down to the steel belt. Approx. 25% of the tread remained with the tire, of which approx. 10% remained attached to the steel belt. The situation described allowed the tire to become a rotating metal eating machine, causing considerable damage to the vehicle wheel well, truck bed, suspension and exhaust system (3 inch stainless steel pipe bend to 90 degrees). Insurance estimates are approx. $2400.00. After waiting for the tire to cool, i deflated and removed the tire. I was then able to bend and move damaged sheet metal away from the wheel well area to allow clearance for my full size spare, which i installed and drove approx. 5 miles home without causing further damage to the vehicle.

Oem grandtrek tires are a disgrace.1 side-wall tear, 1 internal shredding, and 3 blow outs within 15,000.replaced soon thereafter.

Dunlop at20 grandtrek tires, p265/65r17; 6k miles; since new, vehicle has a shimmy starting at 32 mph and beyond; these tires have very poor traction during wet weather and my 4 wheel anti slip constantly engages while driving in wet weather. Dealership has inspected and technician stated that these tires were junk and i should get my wear and replace.

30 month old 2003 toyota 4 runner sport.went to use spare tire for the first time but found places on the sidewall where the rubber appears to be melted.the marks look like they correspond to the places where the spare tire touches the undercarriage of the vehicle when the spare tire is stored.it looks to me (as a layman) that the damage is significant enough that it compromises the safety of the tire.

The contact owns a 2006 toyota tacoma.the vehicle has dunlop grand trek tires, size p24575r16.while driving 60 mph, the contact heard a popping sound and the low tire pressure light illuminated.he pulled over and noticed a blow out on the rear driver side tire and cracks on the sidewall.as of august 16, 2007, the dealer has not inspected the tire.there is a recall for the tire bead (nhtsa campaign # 06v061000), however, the dealer and manufacturer stated that they were unaware of any recall.the contact felt that his vehicle should be included in the recall and submitted complaint number 918236 to the manufacturer.the failure and current mileages were 15,900.

2004 touareg-excessive wear on all 4 tires, less than 20k miles.

Tire failure: toyota tundra 2003 equipped with dunlop grand trek p265/70r16 tires:the tiresdeveloped 5" long cracks between the treads parallel with the treads on the wear surface. The tireswerethe original equipped tires on the vehicle from the manufacturer. The vehicle was manufactured in 08/03. Mileage of the vehiclewas 8,126 miles. The vehicle wasnoncommercial, light duty work and has been parked in a closed location-garage. There wasno evidence of weather checking on the tires and the tread depthwas near new. There has been no off road use of the vehicle. There has been very limited towing use of less than 1,500 lbs of total towed weight. The tread separation occurred on the right front tire.

Our suv started seriously skidding on the road surface while driving, check the tread and found inside and outside of tires edges bald, and center of tire also poor tread.so for the safety of myself and family i had all 4 tires replaced.
