For the past few years i have been buying p225/70tr15 dunlop gtq rwl tires for my 1993 jeep grand cherokee as replacement tires.three out of the last 4 tires i have bought have developed a welt just off centerline of tread from the inside out.the first couple of times i didnt think much of it as the tire dealer told me i might have hit something a long time prior to welt developing and it is just showing up now. The first of those tires was replaced on 6/19/02 and the second was replaced on 8/26/02.after approximately 13,000 to 16,000 miles later this condition appeared again.i noticed a vibration in the car and confirmed that a welt had appeared in the tire just of centerline.i was on my way back from a business trip which was just 200 miles from my home and the tire disintegrated while i was traveling on the highway.i feel that this condition has happened entirely too often and it is with the same tire brand and type.i have not been to the tire dealer yet, but i did want to report this in case there is a problem and other people are reporting it also.thanks for your assistance.
I bought a used van from florida auto exchange on april 18,2005 and when we test drove it i stated that there was a vibration in the front i was told they would check it out . Nothing, i then had the vehicle looked at again in may again nothing ,well i was driving over a bridge today going about 65 mph when the tread came off my front passengers side tire. I almost wrecked but i controlled the van. Now the car dealer is telling me that this is not there concern that it is a defect in the tires .i need someone to help .now they are telling me the van is unsafe to drive because the back tire is bubbling and i must replace all the tires .i also need a rim andthere is body damage to my vehicle. Plus the dealer is charging me for towing because the spare they gave me with the van didnt fit.....
