Radiator ruptured and the engine overheated; hose replaced in steering column recall; rust protective tape recall; dvdscreen replaced and the entire dvd player replaced(screen still not easily visible in middle row); passenger seat belt replaced; middle passenger seat belt failing; gasoline smell inside of car with ac on recirculation; driver's window fell inside door in snow storm and was not considered a safety issue to get a loaner vehicle even though the vehicle could not be locked; tires completely bald and leaking under 30,000 miles, dvd player must be at a high db volume and when returned to radio/cd will almost deafen you; interior lights have to be manually over ridden or will drain battery; car hesitates 1-2 seconds when trying to quickly accelerate and then lurches forward alarmingly; cruise control is not functioning; waiting to have fuel mixture sensor replaced.i was not informed of first 2 recalls until i my engine overheated. I did get the rust recall and a sticker on my sliding door informing user of danger of having middle windows open while opening the middle door could catch a head or other extremity. Toyota dealer service manager says mine is the only 04 sienna experiencing any problems except for the recalls on the radiator; the steering hose; the rust tape; and the middle seat belt.not so according to all i have read here.most of the problems have occurred between 22,000 and 34,000 miles; the dvd screen always failed to lock into a good position for the middle row viewers.

This complaint concerns the new 2010 toyota 4runner.there is an issue with the braking system and handling for this vehicle.upon depressing the brakes, the pedal travels a considerable distance sounds squeaky and notchy and delays in stopping.the anti-lock brakes do not interact quickly and often times engaged at the very end of the brake distance and creates a very uncomfortable and unsettling feeling.the height clearance is also a concern because when cross winds hit the vehicle it creates a very unsettling feeling and causes the vehicle to sway and get under the vehicle making prone to loss control.that wind does not have to be excessive; the mildest of winds will cause a disruption.several measures have been taken to have a local toyota dealership review and address the issue and they have come back and stated that it operates according to specifications.no one other than toyota knows of those specifications and they will not disclose them until enough people highlight this issue by complaining.to add further insult to injury, toyota has placed an administrative hold on any repairs unless they sanction it.in one of the latest uses, i had a deer cross my path and i tried to stop and the vehicle kept moving along and the brakes grabbed after 12 feet.i missed the deer but i was forced to relive the issue of how faulty the brakes are for this vehicle.it reinforced the issues with the braking system.we need for toyota to own up to this hidden defect.the electrical systems in these vehicles seem to control every operating aspect of the vehicle and that appears at issue as well. Front brakes making a swoosh type noise when brakes are not applied. Front and rear brake pads have been replaced 3 times within 15000 miles.rear tire has had to be replaced 3 times in 15000 miles due to wear. Was told by 3 harley davidon dealers this was common due to weight of motorcycle.

In may 2008 i purchased a new honda goldwing. At approximately 3000 miles.i noticed that the right front fork seal was leaking and the tires were wearingabnormally.specifically, the tires both front and rear were cupping or scallopingand started making excessive road noise or "howling".during the next 4000 milesthe tire abnormalities became more pronounced to the point that the vehicledeveloped a "shimmy" or "wobble" at certain speeds and throttle position inaddition to feeling unsafe on any surface other than dry smooth pavement.the "unsafe feeling" can best be described as driving on ice and occurson any uneven surface such as rain grooves, tar strips, bumpy highwaysand whenever moisture is present on the road.upon completion of a 7000mile trip on the vehicle, i returned it to the purchasing dealer with theabove complaint.the dealer told me that the front fork seal was "blown out"and honda considers fork seals a "normal wear item" even though the vehicle only has7,000 miles and the problem started at 3,000 miles, less than 45 days after purchase.honda says the tire issue is not covered under warranty and is "normal" i contacted dunlop tire and described the above complaint.dunlop acknowledged that what i described is "not normal" and provided me an email with contact information for my dealer in regards to replacement or adjustmentunder the terms of the new vehicle limited tire warranty, but as of now the issues remains unresolved.the tires are dunlop d250f, 130/70r18m/c 63h on the front and d250 180/60r 16m/c 74h on the rear.

2011 harley davidson road glide cvo touring motorcycle. The handlebars shake violently at speeds under 40-30 on a decel or steady state. If your hands leave the bars for a split second the bars shake side to side and progressively get worse. You feel like the front wheel is coming off. You feel helpless like the bike is shaking out of control. No other harley touring bike i have every owned has done this. Front tire size is not listed on your site the tire size is 130/80b17 65h.

I filed a complaint with the arizona attorney general on may 17, 2010.i purchased a 2010 honda civic in chandleron november 7, 2009.my car was damaged.i bought it brand new.american honda motor chose to categorize mycar problems as 'normal'.the dealership where i purchased the vehicle performed work without my knowledge whichcaused a new problem to arise.car pulls to the right, steering wheel shifts to the right while braking and more.i wasinvolved in two separate traffic incidents that could have easily resulted in an accident. There is much, much more; this is not an everyday, average type of complaint.please allow me to explain in detail, preferably over the phone or in person. My primary objective is that no other person buy this car at retail - it is extremely dangerous.i surrendered it on may 7, 2010.

Dt: contact stated the tires that came on the car were defective. The back tires were bald and the front tires were wearing thin. The car has 14,000 miles on it. The consumer ordered 4 brand new tires .she had not talked to the dealer. There was a problem keeping the tires balanced and there was always a vibration.

Tire pressure monitoring system failure (tpms)no events led to failure, system just disappeared from car...tells me i have a flat tire when i don't....tires losing pressure now and alignment is off for a second time after being serviced, tires wearing incorrectly and at a fast rate...there is a serious problem here that need to be investigated with vw before another ford/tire situation/death happens to all of us now vw touareg owners. (2004 vw touareg v6 owner: brand new!)

2008 honda civic hybrid purchased new, it now has 22k miles, tires were rotated at 17k miles during dealer work to replace defective rack and pinion. Following this repair i noticed a pronounce road noise inside car at speed range from 30 to 55 mph. On 7/20/09dealer advised that lack of timely tire rotation and alignment is the cause of excessive tire wear noted on one tire. Tire is worn smooth on inside portion of the tread. Dealerstated that corrective action is not covered by warranty. I contend that excessive tire wear on one tire is a safety issue. Conditions found should not exist on tire that has only 22k miles. I expect honda to take appropriate measures to correct this problem at their cost. Updated 07/31/09.

Rear tire howling from 12,000 miles on and were wearing very quickly on the inside which is not visible from casual glance. The tires worn down to a unsafe level and honda has known about this service related problem for months and never notified me as a owner and i had the vehicle in there twice for service. The upper rear control arms were replaced at 22,000 miles and they refused to do any tire coverage even though the failure caused the problem. I feel this is a major safety concern as i did not notice it on time to keep the tire from being worn to a point of safety concern. I hope you can do something to help warn consumers whom may have bad hearing and may not notice this until the rear tires can blow out on the inside.

The contact owns a 2015 mitsubishi mirage equipped with dunlop tires, size: 165/65/r14 (na). While driving approximately 45 mph, the front passenger side tire blew out without warning. The contact lost control of the vehicle, drove off the road, and crashed into a covert pipe. The contact regained control of the vehicle and crashed into another covert pipe. The driver sustained injuries to the abdominal area, which required medical attention. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front passenger side tire blew out and needed to be replaced. The tire was replaced and the vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was 15,000. The dot number was not available.

The contact owns a 2007 honda fit.the vehicle has dunlop tires, size 195/55/r15 (na).the contact noticed a bulge in the front passenger tire.several months later, while driving approximately 62 mph, the front passenger wheel spontaneously detached and only the rim remained.the vehicle was towed to the nearest tire shop and all four tires were replaced.the manufacturer was unable to assist.the dot number was unknown.the failure mileage was 20,450 and current mileage was 20,492.

I purchased a new car honda civic hybrid 2008 and at 6000 miles had to have all four tires replaced due to cupping. Honda realigned all four and paid for tires. After another 6000 miles, i had all four tires worn down again. This time i did not hear from honda after filing a complaint. I took to another honda repair shop & they suggested rebalance & rotate.

On 02/02/2009 i had my vehicle, a 1998 mercedes-benz 230slkserviced for a routine oil change.during that service the serviceman inspected my tires and brought to my attention that they were bald.the tires in question were the third set of dunlops that this auto has had, the first being original equipment which i had success with so i was a loyal dunlop customer.when it was time for tire replacement i naturally purchased the same dunlop tires.to my shock, they exhibited premature tire wear within six-to twelve months of purchase.although i was told they would be replaced for free because they were defective, dunlop did not make good on such offer or warranty.on 10/22/2007 i purchased two dunlop tires, 225/50r1692v, dot dn 41 29w and two dunlop tires 205/55r1691v, dot dm cp 38w, allspsport 2020e.while dunlop failed to stand by the tire warranty, i was assured that if ipurchased four new dunlop tires they would mail me a check for a partial refund.resting on their assurance that they would stand by new tires, i had them installed on my vehicle.the mileage at the date of installation, 10/22/2007, was recorded by the tire dealer as 66,666 miles.the mileage at my most recent date of service was recorded as +- 84,250 miles meaning that these dunlop tires lasted only 17,584 miles!at the time of service the vehicle was determined to be in alignment and not have a suspension problem.all four dunlop tires exhibited the same degree of wear.the four dunlop tires were removed from my vehicle and i transported them to my garage, where they remain. I allege that these dunlop tires are defective, and furthermore i allege that dunlop has breached the implied warranty of merchantability.i am requesting of dunlop that they refund me my net purchase in full and in exchange for such i shall not seek recovery in small claims court as is my right.it is indeed fortunate that no injury either to myself or others resulted as a consequence of these tires.

While riding a new 2008 honda goldwing motorcycle in the rain at 30 mph ina straight line , not accelerating the dunlop 250 rear tire slid out from under me causing me to crash.. The tire came stock on a brand new bike purchased sepf 09,, i complained to honda and the dealer regarding traction issues, the dealer said it was the tires, if i switched them things would be better,, i have done research and there is a pending class action lawsuit against honda with the dunlop tires, front end wobbles..i had that as well, but my main concern was rear traction issues,, the bike never should have slid out at slow speeds in a straight line, many goldwing riders complained about them and had to pay for new tires on new bikes, it is ridiculous.. Dunlop came out with the e-3 tire which they admit corrects the wet pavement traction issues.... So they know about it !! in my opinion the stock 250's are hazardous and cause accidents or near accidents.. When tired to input the tire info on the complaint form here , they did not have my tire size avail,, it should be dunlop 250 radial 180/60/r16.

The contact owns a 2007 pontiac torrent equipped with dunlap signature 2 tires, size 235-65r16 and dot number tj46ju1r3512. The contact stated that the four tires failed prematurely. The tire tread separated and caused the tires to become flat. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The tires were replaced. The tire failure mileage was 164,039.the vehicle failure mileage was unknown.

The front tire on my 2005 honda gold wing has gone bad in under 4000 miles, and is not usable at 6000 miles. Honda will not warranty tires, even though it is from the front end wobble.honda tells me that i will have to replace the front tire every 6000 miles, and theywill do nothing to alleviate the wobble that is ruining the tire.my vin# is [xxx]. This is supporting odi#10135765.please help.thanks, [xxx]. Updated 07/19/2012 information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6)

I had my 2007 civic hybrid in for service last week and was told that there were parts subject to a recall that affected the tire wear and the ride.the recalled parts, rear suspension, and the installation were covered by honda, but the excessive tire wear was not.mike (service) checked with honda who said they would only pay for 30% of the new tires, so i would still be out hundreds of dollars.i am disappointed that 1) honda would have a defective part causing excessive wear and bad performance, but not notify the owners to bring their cars in;and 2) that the effect of this faulty part caused excessive wear in the tires, and that honda would not pay for new tires.i now have to get new tires at 29,000 miles which i feel is in appropriate.finally, i have researched the appropriate tires for this vehicle and there are many choices well under $100 per tire, and for the dealership to tell me that my replacement tires would cost $100 + per tire, plus installation, balancing etc., is too costly. I do not feel that i have been treated fairly and am very disappointed in honda.when a defective part is not communicated to the owner who could bring the car in to get it fixed before the tires were totally damaged, that is the fault of honda.

I purchased a 2004 sienna brand new in 2004.toyota engineered the 2004 toyota sienna w/ dunlop run flat tires.as such they designed no space for a spare or a jack.including 4 tires that were replaced as part of a recall i have replaced a total of 13 tires in 6 years.these tires cost almost $300 to replace.the low tire pressure warning light has never lit up, toyota tested it and stated it works but have no idea why it does not light up when the tire goes flat.toyota takes no responsibility for their design choice in any way.i have requested everything from partial reimbursement to a full set of regular tires with a spare and a jack.all requests have been refused.

One of the tires exploited at 5k miles and now the tires have only 18000 miles and are in bad shape with clear evidence that wires are showing. I called the dealer but they don't want to be responsible nor the brand owners. I brought the car to the dealer because i felt vibrations when im on the freeway. They found tire separation on the right front tire. The service guy said they have been changing these tires because of tires separation. I was wondering why i wasn't told about this if it was already happening to others who have the same tire. They changed 4 tires .

The contact owns a 2016 harley-davidson tri glide (na) equipped with dunlop signature (na) tires, size: ps05/65r15 (na). The contact stated that the motorcycle was equipped with all season tires, which provided little to no traction during the rain. While attempting to accelerate, the rear of the motorcycle began to glide in the opposite direction. The motorcycle spun around while the tires became inoperable. The failure occurred only when it was raining. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

Dt: the contact owned a 2004 toyota sienna all wheel drive. All the tires had to be replaced at 14842 miles. The vehicle was taken to the dealerbecause one tire was damaged, and they said all the tires worn out and needed to be replaced. The tire that was damaged had a hole in it, and it was a flat tire. The tires were regularly serviced. The tire manufacturer was dunlop ,line is 225/60r17, odi # 3dt00004279-du. Searched on the internet and saw many similar complaints.

15" dunlop tire, looked like it was barley used still had the numbs on it. Middle of tire tread peeled off, sending the back end of our truck sideways then rolling in a deep embankment. Truck totaled.will give more info.

Ever since i bought this sienna 2006, i have noticed both of my back dunlop tires are leaking air frequently starting on feb 2008.the mileage as of today is only 5400.the right side of the back tire popped and i have to replaced with the michelin.as for the left side, every week, it dropped to 20psi.i have to pump it back up to 35-40psi every week.took it to the dealer, no holes or any problem found on the dunlop.they refused to replace the tire.i ask them why it didn't happen to the front tire then, why only the back tires?i told them it must be the manufacturer problem and they have to replace.no comments from them and they said i have to purchase a new one to replace it.stupid idiot solution from them.

I was on a road trip to southern california on 5/4//2011 & had stop for fuel & was looking over my 2011 harley davidson fltrx motorcycle & notified what to be a small crack in the sidewall of the tires. I was about 50 miles from the closest hd dealership. I arrived at the dealership but they had no tires in stock & would be at least 1 week. They called ahead to the next closest dealership. They noted that the tire was cracked in several places on the sidewalls. I was able to get a better look at that time. I travelto the next dealership & they inspected the tire & replaced it to me at no charge because tire was defected. The bike was bought new in oct 2010 & had apx. 3,800 miles when i spotted the cracks. & 3919 when it was replaced. I kept the proper air in tires. With our 2004 toyota sienna minivan, we have had several problems with the run-flat tires installed on the vehicle as original equipment.these dunlop run-flat tires are standard on the all-wheel-drive versions of the 2004 and 2005 sienna.the tires have been prone to puncture (two semi-delfations in the past 6 months) and the tires do not wear properly.as a result, we are forced to replace them at $300 a piece with only 12,000 miles on them and after they were properly rotated and maintained during their short life.a quick search on the internet confirms that these problems are rampant on the 2004 and 2005 siennas with these run-flat tires.the toyota dealer has admitted that this is a big problem with these cars and has offered to pay for only 2 of the 4 new tires.to exacerbate the problem, siennas with run-flat tires are not equipped with any spare tire because the run-flats are supposed to allow you to drive the car until you can have the flat fixed.two problems emerge from this -- (1) if your run-flat tire fails completely (there are reports of this on the internet), you are stuck with no spare; and (2) if you can still drive on the flat tire, there are few if any repair shops outside of major metropolitan areas that can fix these run-flats.

The contact owns a 2004 toyota sienna.while driving 70 mph, the passenger side rear tire blew out.the following day, the front driver side tire cracked.the road conditions were dry.there was no crash or property damage.the tires were dunlop, size p215/65r16.the current and failure mileages were 35,000.

I wish to file a complaint against the dunlop d407f tires which came oem on my 2009 harley flhtcuse4.my tires started experiencing severe cupping around 12k miles and harley would not cover them under any of their warranties.i had to ride all the way across the country on this dangerous tire to try to get it replaced by my dealer which never happened.the tire now has 17k miles on it with severe cupping and less than 3/32 of tread in the bad areas.the good sections of the tire (the leading edge of the tread pattern) probably have 15k miles left.i believe the severe bouncing of this tire may have caused the radio on the bike to die.i believe dunlop has discontinued this tire after only a few months of production because they are aware of the problem.harley now uses the d408f tire which is basically the same tire with the tread backwards.a cupping tire is especially dangerous around corners and in rain and i feel adamant that these tires need to be taken off the road.harley will not replace these tires because they go by percent of tread wear at the most wore part of the tread pattern, not by the least wore part which looks brand new.

Dunlop d407 tire (front) for the harley davidson 2009 fl touring models installed on my2009 screaming egale fltrse3the bold angled lateral grooves exhibit abnormal wear and uneven tire tread cupping. I have a 2009 harley davidson ultra classic electra glide.this model along with the "touring" line of hd motorcyles are newly redesigned and uses the new dunlop 407f motorcycle tires.these tires are the only tires that are available for this line of motorcycles.my tires are "cupping" after 7,000 miles.the cupping is causing vibration at highway speeds and noises while cornering.i have been reading about this issue on harley davidson forums and i have discovered that there are numerous complaints about this issue.there are reports of407f tires cupping with just 1500 miles of use.i feel that the cupping problem of the dunlop 407f tires maylead to a dangerous situation and that this issue has to be investigated.

I want to share a very disturbing, dangerous, aggravating and disgusting experience i have just recently had with a brand new dunlop elite 3 tire i purchased from honda of chattanooga, tennessee, on september 8, 2007 (invoice # 042179).september 8, 2007new dunlop elite 3 tires, front and rear.after about a week i noticed the front tire seemed to be showing signs of wear.september 29thi noticed a section of the tire was coming apart. October 2, 2007i took it back to honda of chattanooga, tennessee, the dunlop tire distributor.i only had 1,000 miles on it.there was no way the tire should be showing signs of wear like i was experiencing. When i arrived at honda of chattanooga, tennessee, the serviceman and the parts manager looked at the tire and said the tire was definitely defective and wrote up a ticket (# 14411) and wrote on it front tire has failed after 1000 miles,is going to be replacement work at no charge to the customer, - replace front tire.) they told me they didn't have any more to work on and it would be changed that morning. When i called right before lunch they changed their story completely and said they asked a customer what it looked like to them and they said it looked like the tire had been cut with a knife and they couldn't replace it until they heard from dunlop tire and expected to hear from them that day.i called the owner of the dealership and told him i felt he should stand behind the tire because it was only 3 weeks old and he sold me a defective tire. He said i should go ahead and pay for another tire and wait to hear from dunlop tire. I told him if dunlop didn't stand behind the tire i sure didn't want to purchase another one and i didn?t want that dealership to install it. Then i got to thinking - i was at work with no way home and an unsafe tire on my bike? so i called the owner up and said i would pay for another tire. The tire was unsafe to drive with and i feel it was defective from the start.

I took my honda civic hybrid in for a service at the honda dealership it had just over 21000 miles on it and i was told i needed to replace all of my tires due to uneven ware.

My husband and i both purchased 2008 mitsubishi lancer gts. Two vehicles within 3 weeks of each other in october. Chad's care has 13,000 miles mine 15,000 miles. Both cars need new tires. The front tires are down to the thread on both cars. The back tires on mine are passes wear lines. Chad's tires in the back are a little bit better. Of course when calling the local dealership which is 45-60 minutes away from my house they informed me that there was nothing they could do for me. Surprise ! what do i do now and where else can i turn? please help! email us if you have any ideas.

Run flat tire commercial.it is true that you can travel on a run flat tire forover 100 miles with a nail punctured tire.this commercial does not tell you the prones of it and i experienced this problem.i have a 2008 toyota sienna all-wheel driveand it has the electronic indicator of low air pressure. It came on once in a while and just added some air. But lately it came on more frequently and i took the van to the toyota dealer in la crescenta ca., where i bought the van, for inspection. They told me there is a nail in the left front tire and this type of the ran flat tire can not be repaired. So i had to buy a new tire. Lucky enough they could order it right awayand got the tire mounted the next day. The dealer could not mount the tire on the rim and had to send it to a special tire place, because this are special rims, i have been told. The price for this one tire was $ 269.56 including mounting, balancing and sales tax. Since this type of a van with this run flat tires, does not come with a spare tire. They told me, it is not necessary to have one. What will happened, when you are in the middle of the wilderness in the country. Yes you can drive over 100 miles on the flat tire, but when you get to the next town and they have to order this tire and it can take days before they get one. There you will be stuck for a while.this does not sound like a good way to have thistires. It sure is a miss leading advertising and a bad experience. On tap of it the tires have no warranty.unhappy experienced owner, karl

In addition, the vehicle started wobbling and was difficult to steer. The contact pulled over and discovered that the rear passenger side tire was blown out. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was confirmed that the tire needed to be replaced.the tire was replaced. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure.

Left front tire is beginning to separate in several places along the outside edge. Need to know if i should submit evidence now before tire completely fails. (explodes)

Run flat tires on a 2004 toyota sienna xle limited awd fail/wear prematurely. Need to be replaced at 12,000 miles. Dealer will not compensate for expense.also, the vehicle does not come with a spare tire and this fact was not disclosed and in fact the vehicle de-caling was misleading. A decal on the passenger side door pillar indictes where the spare is loacted, but there is no spare on this vehicle.

I believe honda should issue a recall for the rims and tires on the fit sport, they are virtually unobtainable (usually have to be specially ordered - impossible to find when away from home), very expensive ($175/ tire w mount and balance) and very poor quality (3 blowouts in 10,000 miles). I consider this a serious design flaw, affecting the vehicle's safety.

I bought a 2007 dodge caliber in dec 07. Within a few months i started to hear and feel front end noise/vibration. This began under 10,000 miles. They have cut the front rotors ,replaced front strut and sway bar links, all of which did not resolve the real problem. Dealer since , states that the problem is the tires (dunlop) because i did not rotate at the right mileage. I now have 26,000 miles and i won't buy new tires just yet. I have to live with the noise and vibration but chrysler has to live with the bad reputation that all these complaints is giving them. They will not help resolve this situation and i will never buy another chrysler product. Why isn't any gov't agency getting involved? it's a '!@#$% shame!

Severe tire sidewall bubbles on all four tires after only 2 years of normal use. Tire brand and type: dunlop 195/60r15 888 h signature ii.

While checking the pressure on the tire i noticed a large bubble on the tread including a distinct wear mark different from the rest of the tire.

Left front tire is beginning to separate in several places along the outside edge. Need to know if i should submit evidence now before tire completely fails. (explodes)

Tread separation on a dunlop sportmax roadsmart motorcycle tire, size 120/70zr18 m/c.a piece of tread approximately 1.5" x 3" separated from the tire carcass.tire was inflated to the recommended 42 psi.tire had been in service approximately four months, with <=4852 miles of use.

While returning home from vacation, i experienced tread loss on the rear tire of my motorcycle. I was traveling north on highway 95 (southwest nevada). About 30 mile north of beatty nv, i felt a "bump" and heard the thump and clank of something bouncing off the inside of the rear fender. I pulled over to inspect and could not locate any problems. I resumed my trip and experienced the same sound about 5 miles later. I stopped to inspect again and this time discovered that 2 large chunks of tread were missing out of the middle of the tire. Everyone who has seen it describes the damage as having the appearance of a retread tire, which to my knowledge, it wasn't. Luckily, the tire continued to hold air and the failure did not cause loss of control. It could have ben much worse.unable to get cell phone connection and unable to flag down anybody who did, i opted to limp the motorcycle to the next town, hoping to be able to get help there. I traveled for about 25 miles at very low speed.once in goldfield nv,i was able to connect to my cell phone carrier and proceeded to get help. Not wanting to push my luck on the bad tire, i called the nearest available location (potomah nv) to get a tow there. I contacted the local yamaha dealer and they were able to order a new tire for me. After 2 nights waiting for delivery, the failed tire was replaced with a new one.the tire (dunlop d404 series for a 1997 ymaha royal star) was not new, but stil had several thousand miles before needing replacement. The unexpected failure left me basically stranded in aplace i didn't want to be and cost me ~$500 in total expences before i could get back on the road home.at this moment, i have the failed tire in my posession. To date, (7/20/2005) i have been unable to talk to anyone at dunlop that can assist me in seeking some compensation for my damages.

Dunlop d407 tire (front) for the harley davidson 2009 fl touring models installed on my2009 screaming egale fltrse3the bold angled lateral grooves exhibit abnormal wear and uneven tire tread cupping. Vibration during cornering and lane changes, the unevenly worn areas are nearly worn to the bottom of the lateral groves on the leading edge and the other side is cupped. The center of the tread appears to be normal. This was first noticed and reported to a harley davidson california dealer twice once at 3000 miles and 4100 miles of wear. Now at 5000 miles the vibrations present while changing directions or cornering is unsafe.

On march 24th 2005 a dunlop (goodyear) m3 wintersport snow tire literally disintegrated on the expressway. The tread separated from the sidewalls and destroyed my inner wheel well of my 2003 bmw 745li. If not for the observant driver to my right who knows what would have happened. Just tires threw out the tread portion but kept the sidewalls despite my asking them to hold all pieces for 1 day till i could get back there (bloomingdale, il.) goodyear picked up what was left of the sidewalls and decided it was a tire pressure issue??? just tires inspected the tire at my insistence and found no punctures. Also other 3 tires were inflated to the correct pressure. Goodyear may have issues with this tire and i believe they have a fauty product. They did not reimburse me for the damage to my car. They did give me a new tire. The tires were almost new...maybe 4k miles on them.mike dybas 847-334-6400

2009 harley-davidson fxstsse3 hd oem dunlop d407 tires showing wear at 5,000 miles, local dealer & email to dunlop would not cover them.later, provided local dealer service manager printed copies of hd bulletins & internet comments from hd forums on problem and he got approval to replace front tire with d408 at no charge because it had signs of cupping.would not cover rear d407 240/40r18tire even though at 6,000 miles showing early wear.dunlop web site advertises the d407 & d408 tires have mt for longer life, yet many 2008 - 2009 hd owners wit this brand tire are having problems. On their website http://www.dunlopmotorcycle.com/tirecatalog_tire.asp?id=107 :"the new d407 tire is made for 2009 fl touring models, and therear tires feature dunlop's advanced mt multi-tread technology. Mt multi-tread rear tire incorporates a tough tread compound in the center that runs cooler to provide stability, excellent traction under braking and long life, and to each side is a section of lateral-grip compound that enhances traction at higher lean angles for great grip while cornering.".hd & dunlop will not do anything about the rear d407's.

Tread splice failure on a dunlop elite 3 motorcycle tire. Defect in tire was noticed before an accident or damage occurred, and was removed from service. Since there's no way to enter this information properly on this poorly designed website, the size of the tire is 180/60r-16.

I have a 2005 toyota sienna xle awd which is equipped with dunlop run-flat tires. This car was used for one year and had mileage of 17,800 when we noticed that all four tires had the tread barrier exposed. It was exposed only on the outside and inside edges of the tires. The car was handling extremely strangely and was starting to wander on turns. This weekend changing lanes the car started to wander into an on-coming traffic lane when changing to the left lane of a four lane road.i contacted toyota only to be told that there was no mileage guarantee on the tires and they were $250/piece to replace. When told that they nearly caused head on accident they quickly offered to replace two of them free and then i could repair the others. They still would not guarantee the tires for any future mileage. I have since gone on the web to find that these tires have been reported by a huge number of the owners to have a similar problem. I do not think we should have an accident to find out that a tire has an identified safety problem. These tires do not wear correctly, they wear much too fast, and the toyota service rep at my dealership told me that we should run the tires at a higher than recommended tire pressure to help. The nhtsa should get involved in this matter before others are harmed or killed.

Dunlop roadsmart front motorcycle tire, size 120/70 x 18 has suffered a tread separating and puncture caused by the internal steel belt piercing the inner liner.this tire was used for approximately 6000 miles on a 2005 honda st1300. This same failure mode has occurred to many of my friends at the www.st-owners.com forum.

The dashboard was shaking while driving at 55 mph.rear right tire went flat.the tires were oem tires came with mazda mpv 2000 purchased 4/28/00.the odometer at time of thread separation was 35,000 miles.

Dt*:the contact stated a vibration was noticed while riding the motorcycle at various speeds.upon inspection, the rear tire had cracks in the tread and flaking occurred when the tire was handled.the dealer and tire manufacturer have been alerted.
