Toyota prius hybrid 1. Tire blow out with the right psi and clear beautiful day. Dealer will not warranty or change tire.2. The car stop and started running only on electrical service. Call toyota dealer and they ask me to start the car three times and it will go away. I did it and drove to the dealer they explained to me that the humidity was causing the problem.this had happen about four times and every time the humidity was high but this is and inconvenience not just to me but my wife. No event lead to tire failure. Goodyear allegra 185/65r15 with 23k miles on them. Found crack on tire on 12/21/05. Purchase at sam's club on 03/09/03, sam's replaced tire. On 12/30/05 found flat on different tire, no visible damage. Inflated tire and checked with soap. Leaking on sidewall in two places near raised lettering. Contacted goodyear via e-mail to complain. Tires appear to be defective and a hazard.

2009 harley davidson flhx (streetglide) rides excessively hard. It seems as though the rear air shocks are not working. Air pressure has been adjusted from minimum to maximum pressures with little to no change in ride quality. The implication is...at highway speeds even hitting a small bump in the road the bike tends to go airborn. The suspension is so unyielding it's creating a safety hazard for the rider and passenger. I test rode a yamaha along the same route as the harley . The difference was remarkable. The yahama absorbed the bumps and uneven pavement extremely well. A 1000% difference in ride quality. Harley needs to re evaluate the 2009 flhx. I had a 2008 flhx and it did not ride at all like the new 2009 with a new ridgid chassis.also the front tire is cupping. Harley knows about it and changed the tread pattern by reversing the direction of the rain grooves. It know seems as though the tires will not channel the rain from under the tire but rather will encourage the water to stay under it thus promoting hydroplaning.

Driving my harley electra glide classic down i-90 in south dakota at around 80 mph my bike startedto sway from front to back.i thought it was the road at first, since it was a road with lines, with suck for bikes.it started getting worse so i slowed and pulled over.flat rear tire.d402 from dunlop..i feel glad to be alive.i had the tire replaced.the mechanic did not find anything in the tire, but the left side was all bubbled.he said there was no way of knowing if it caused the flat or was the result of the flat.

I own a 2001 pt cruiser. I tried to have a flat tire fixed on this car, the tire service person informed me that the rim had a crack that was more then an inch long and they would not allow a new tire to be mounted on the rim. I had to get a friend to pick me and my children up and go without my car until i was able to locate a replacement rim used from a rim dealer in dayton ohio. All the original rimsbelonging to this car are pitted, peeling, some won't hold air or are split. The rims i'm told are the cause of tire failure and premature wear and frequent flats. I find these issues to create unsafe driving conditions.

The contact owns a 2008 harley davidson flhtcu motorcycle, with dunlop d402 tires, line size mu85b16 m/c77h, dot number: 301823daf4m18m. The contact was driving 70 mph, when the rear tire went flat. The vehicle skidded across the highway, and landed flat as the contact and passenger were thrown 100 feet from the vehicle. Both the contact and the passenger sustained minor injuries and a police report was filed.the vehicle was towed to a dealer and was in the process of being repaired.the manufacturer of the tire was notified of the failure but did not provide any assistance to the contact.the failure and current mileage was 13,000.updated 8/29/11 updated 09/26/11
The contact owns a 2002 mercedes benz cl class.the vehicle has goodyear dunlop d401, size 90/90-19 52h tires, which were purchased four days prior to the failure.while driving 45 mph, the contact heard a thump and noticed that the vehicle drove differently.she pulled over and noticed that the passenger side rear tire was hanging from the rim.the vehicle was towed to her residence.the tire company stated that they would replace the tires.the powertrain and dot number were unknown.the current and failure mileages were 69,875.

Dt*:the contact stated there was a tread separation on the rear passenger side tire while driving at 70 mph.the vehicle was taken to a service dealer, where the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the separation, and the tire was replaced.

Failure of a replacement motorcycle tireinnertube.i have a 2000 harley davidson sportster.the front wheel is a spoke wheel with a tube type tire.about 6 months ago, i had the front tire and tube replaced by a reputable motorcycle dealer.all was well until may 12 when i sensed that handling had degraded.i determined that the front tire pressure was near zero.i added air to the recommended pressure and carefully monitored pressure. I could see no defect.a leak of more than a few psi/hr was evident.i took the motorcycle to the dealer who originally installed the new tire and tube for repair. The dealer found that the tube had a split in it along the mold parting line.this defect could have had serious consequences if i had not sensed i had a problem.the dealer is grand prix motorsports of littleton colorado.the dealer informed me that the tube originally installed, ( and likely now present) is madeby or for malcolm smith racing (msr).it is a "heavy duty" tube model288208.at the time of service on may 12, i was told that the dealer has seen other motorcycle tubes that have split on the mold parting line.a contact at the motorcycle dealer ischris stinson (303) 761-2471.mailing address is grand prix motorsports, 3105 w.
