I know not everything is made perfect because we are only human but i want to know that my kids are safe ridding with me in this car. I've thought about getting a new one but my car has been so good to me tell now and i no longer have a job to get another car. I purchased 4 new douglas extra-trak ii tires at walmart and within only a few months was having major "alignment" type issues. I thought maybe the tires needed to be balanced and rotated and have the pressure checked. Walmart tech had one of my tires that was a few lbs low and it blew out after he put it back up to appropriate levels. Blow out was out the side and not visible from the outside of the tire. Other side bulges were found on the other tires. Since the tires had been driven, walmart only gave me a "discount" on replacing the one that blew out - the others were my problem according to them. These tires are obviously defective and not safe.

Douglas tire on 1996 ford taurus "came apart" on i-10, no apparent punctureor other signs of hitting an object on the highway.

I wanted to let you know about an experience at discount tire580 w telegraph washington utah. And you can forward this to any regulating agency.from my knowledge, when two tires are purchased new, it is required to mount them on the front of the vehicle if it is front wheel drive. And move the lower tread tires to the back.while at this location, the person running the shop stated they are not allowed to touch tires or rotate them if they have low tread.and they mounted the two new ones on opposite corners (front driver and rear passenger). And tried to sell 2 additional tires.this is against the law. I want this business reviewed for their license.

After regular road driveing for a month had front tires wear down to steel belt, purchased tires at walmart so took car back in to have tires looked at was told it was an alignment issue. I know this is not the case because car had just been serviced and alignment checked the same day tire were put on car. The wear out is on the insides of both front tires, and minor wear on the insides of the rear tires as well as majority of the tread is worn off as well on all 4 tires. This wear down caused me to go into ditch in snowy conditions, while driveing at safe speeds.

I own an '05 dodge grand caravan with 1 douglas touring 215/65/r16 on driver's front.tireblew at approx 60 mph in clear road conditions.

I was driving my 98 nissan altima through a residential neighborhood when the side wall of my douglas performance tire blew out dot #pjae1ylr0712. I put the donut on my car and took the tire back to walmart. In speaking to the sales person he said that the tires were not worn down enough to be considered a manufactures defect. So the had no warranty, these tires will only be 7 months old on may,9,2013. They refused to honor their warranty because i didn't buy their road hazard warranty at an additional $10 per tire. These tires were purchased on 9/9/12 i still have the original receipt they are 95/65r15.

I bought 4 douglas p215/65r16bw tires from wal-mart in piscataway, nj in february, 2006.those douglas tires were acknowledged to have been fabricated by goodyear to wal-mart's specs. My vehicle is a chrysler town & country ltd, which for me has been a wonderful, reliable vehicle.i have driven the car 20,000 miles since then. The tires show only modest wear and i thought were performing well, driven mostly in florida, where i now reside.six times since then i have taken the car to a wal-mart store because of a slow leak in the tires (i had purchased lifetime service), and each time some work was done which temporarily seemed to resolve the problem.this week i took the car in because the air leakage has become more severe.i was told that nothing could be done because the tires have "dry rot" caused by exposure to warm pavement and sunlight.they will not touch the tires because the bead is so delicate it could break at any moment.i am now afraid to drive the car lest a catastrophic failure injure me, my family, or others on the highway.

Douglas, touring, p225/60r16, dot # kmxotclr1603. Consumer says that tires constantly lose air.consumer believes valve stem may be defective.

The tire that i believe is faulty, ran low on air for a little while, then i aired it up - everything was fine until i tried to go into town one evening and it felt like i was riding on my rim. It sounded awful. Once i was stopped at a street light, i opened my car door and there were pieces of tire just sitting underneath my car and under the tire. So i finally pulled into a gas station, sure enough, i was riding my rim. I came to conclusion that my tire was debeading, and i was sold a possible faulty tire.

I bought a set of 4 douglas all-season 215/65r16 98t sl tires at walmart. After less than 4 months/600 miles of use, 3 of the tires were diagnosed as separating inside. This is a very dangerous problem that could have cost us our lives. These tires must be recalled. This is unacceptable. If your vehicle shakes at a moderate speed (between 25-40mph) and you have these tires then you should get them replaced immediately. It is not the balance (i had them balanced twice) or the alignment, it is a defect in these particular tires.

Bead separated from sidewall while car was parked.( dot number: )
