Car started shaking. Out side of tire started separation and tread peeling off.
While driving car our brand new terminator 225-75-15tires purchased from discount tire co. In charlotte had a blowout.the tire completely failed and appears as if someone used a saw and cut it diagonally across the sidewalls and the entire tread.never saw anything like this.the tire collapsed without even hitting anything.*la
We (unknowingly) bought $200 each, 10 ply cooper tires from discount tire less than 2 years ago.these were supposed to be able to handle the weight of our truck and camper.in october of 2005, the tread came completely off of one of the rear tires and damaged one side of the truck and part of the cab over camper.then this past weekend, the same thing happened, the tread completely came off, really damaged the other side of the truck and also partially damaged the boat we were towing.the tires both times were still holding air, just threw the tread.my husband actually went and retrieved the tread from the highway this latest time. Discount tire will have to replace the tire, because of the warranty, but that does not solve the danger or the damages these tires are causing.the same night as this happened, abc 15 news showed a story that this is happening all over with cooper tires, and showed us how to identify that we had some of these tires that are throwing their tread.ours are on the list.
The contact owns a 2000 toyota camry.while driving 40 mph, the contact noticed a vibration coming from the front end of the vehicle.the contact inspected the dominator touring mr2 tires and noticed a bulge on the outer tread.the bulge caused the tire to be worn.the tires have not been inspected to determine the cause of failure.the current mileage is 49,000 and failure mileage was 48,000.
My witness who drove with me checked the tire pressure before we left because we were driving over 150 miles. We were driving from almost apache junction,az to sierra vista az. To pick my 7 year old son from his mothers. We got outside of casa grande going the speed limit, we heard a loud noise and felt something hit the side of the car. Come to find out the tread completely peeled off and when it peeled off it did $2000 of damaged to my passenger side of the car. Even though the tread peeled off there was still air in the tire, so we drove to a tire place and got a spare tire in eloy, az. I filed a complaint with cooper tires and they denied me saying that the tread came off do to under inflation and to repair plugs. This is false my witness checked my inflation in the tires before we left and he use to work at a at goodyear tires. Until this day they still deny me. I am not giving up because the gave me a defected tire.
