Ay highway speed felt vigorous vibrationthroughout out my 2001 gmc hd 2500 4x4 as i slowed down it got worse next thing i heard was a loud crunch and banging and a puff of smoke, the truck fish tailed side to side (due to the tire still being inflated,it did not lose air pressure) and i corrected it to safely stop . What had happened was i lost the tread off the rear drivers side tire, causing severe damage to the wheel well and fender and exhaust.

Copper tires dominator at lt 305 70 16 purchased from discount tire 10-14-2005. The vehicle a ford 2001 excursion had 86000 miles on it. On 11-24-2009 a blowout occurred, right rear tire. Damagingrear tail lightthe paint on rear door and rear qtr panel wheel well trim damage running board damage and wheel damage. The blowout separated the tread from the tire leaving the belts exposed.

Cooper tires came apart and caused damage to my truck and 5th wheel travel trailer.i'm being jacked around by crawford company.don't return phone callsstill trying to get truck fixed.the blow out nearly tore the front bumper off.tore out the wheel well liner then went under truck and damaged my 5th wheel trailer. Incident occurred same day of company recall.

I had a tire that the tread came off. It resulted in damage to my truck. Three weeks later another tire started to separate. I had the tires removed but was told that there was no problems with other tires but found that the same tire in a different size was recalled due to the same failure.

Tire separated like a retread and cause over $3500 damage to the bed of the pickup on the driver's side.

When i returned to the vehicle and tried to driveit was almost uncontrollable.i took the vehicle to the local good year dealer and they determined that all 4 tires had belt /tread separation. These tires have less than 1/32nd inch of wear. Vehicle has not been driven since and tires are still available for inspection.

The contact owns a 2000 chevrolet silverado 1500.the vehicle has cooper dominator sport a/t tires.the contact noticed an air bubble on the sidewall of the front driver side tire.the tire store replaced the tire.approximately four months later, while driving 65 mph, the contact heard a loud pop and noticed the tread had separated on the driver side rear tire.recall # 06t016000 (tires:tread/belt) was found.the current mileage is 70,600 and failure mileage was 68,000.

A cooper dominator sport a/t tire of the type that is currently the subject of ea 06 -021 experienced a tread separation while mounted on the rear axle of a ford f150.the tread separation led to a loss of control and vehicle rollover that resulted in the death of one man and incapacitatingbrain injuries to another.the tire had 7/32 of tread and was in good condition before the failure.the tire was well maintained and showed no signs of abuse or misuse.the tire that failed was manufactured in 2004 at cooper's findlay, ohio plant.

The contact owns a 1994 ford f-250 equipped with dominator sport atz tires, size: lt265/75r16. While driving 35 mph, the contact felt a vibration in the front passenger side tire. The tire was rocking from side to side. In addition, the contact stated that the belt was separated from the front passenger side tire. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to nhtsa. The approximate vehicle failure mileage was 265,000 and the tire failure mileage was 185.

Dt*: the contact stated, while traveling at 60 mph, the front left tire tread separated completely from the tire, causing it to flatten. The vehicle and trailer were damaged from the accident caused by the tire failure. There have been 12 failures within a six-month time period for the set of tires in question. The manufacturer alleged the tire failure was due to driving on under inflated tires.

Dt*: the contact stated while traveling 60 mph on a downhill curve, the driver side front tire blew out and the vehicle hit a guard rail on the driver side.then, while trying to get the vehicle off of the road, the tread separated and the tread hit the side mirror and fender.a spare tire was put on.then, 175 miles later there was a noise, the vehicle was running rough and was pulled over.the passenger side front tire had separated and the vehicle was towed to the residence.the tires were taken to the dealership.no injuries were sustained.
