Car and tires inspected by professional for 2,500mi road trip. All tires appeared fine and were rotated; have 40,000mi wear (70,000mi rated). Within last 250mi, car became imbalanced and lacked stability with computerized van tire monitor also responding. Professional inspection revealed left-rear steel belt visible and tire separated and front-right having early signs for same failure.left rear tire replaced with full (new) spare, trip completed but last 25mi of trip, van tire monitor engaged again.professional inspection required all tires be replaced; last three tires were not trustworthy for any driving.
