The contact owns a 1994 ford econoline van.the vehicle has cooper wintermaster tires, size 235/75/r15.while driving 55 mph, the contact heard a loud popping and grinding noise coming from the rear driver's side of the vehicle.he pulled over to inspect the vehicle and noticed that the rear driver's side tire was blown.there was tread separation and a large portion of the steel belt was exposed.the contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer.the failure and current mileages were 74,800.
Low air pressure in tire(s) light came on in my 2005 walter p chrysler town and country when my wife and i left our house.turned around and came home to check air in tires.front right tire was low and when i took the cap off, the valve stem broke off in my hand.the tire completely lost all air in a matter of several seconds.if this would have happened to my wife and grandkids later that evening and with the temperature dropping to near zero,it could have been a very scary situation.then i find out that this is a common problem that is well documented, yet no recalls that i can find as of yet.unbelievable!this is very, very dangerous and i will not put these valves with sensors back on my vehicle.if anyone knows of a recall, please let me know.
