The contact owns a 2003 dodge ram 2500 with cooper tempra trail cutters lt265/70/r17 (dot utahrda0409) tires. While drivingapproximately 50 mph the steering wheel began to vibrate and the contact heard a noise coming near the rear drivers side tire. The contact stopped the vehicle and noticed the tread separated from the rear drivers side tire. The tire was replaced with the spare. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and asked the contact to mail the tire so they could inspect it. The tire was not replaced. The vin was not available. The approximate failure mileage was 160,000.

We were driving on the interstate and noticed the vehicle was shaking. When we arrived at our destination we found that the right rear tire has a large bulge on the tread of the tire. We went on line to investigate these type of tires and found that cooper tire co. Had a recall on those similar type of tires however, we have the mt style tire and they had recalled the rt style due to steel cords busting in the tires. The recall is for the exact same tire except that ours are a mud terrain and the recall is for the radial tread tire.

On march 26th 2011 while traveling westbound on i 76 in colorado our driverside front tire blew out. The tire was a tempra trail cutter radial rt lt 255/85r16. After a loud shotgun type noise, our vehicle went out of control.we regained control and brought the vehicle to the side of the interstate and stopped. We contacted cooper tire who manufactures this brand on 03/29/2011 and we were told that this tire was not currently under recall.

The contact owns a 2005 chevrolet suburban.the vehicle has two cooper tempra trail cutters, size lt26570r17 tires (na).while driving 70 mph, the contact felt a strong vibration coming from the tires.the rear passenger side tire tread separated, causing the tire to explode.the failure damaged the rear fender, bumper, and tailpipe.triple a arrived and replaced the tire.the vehicle is currently at the body shop and all four tires will be replaced because the rear driver side tire also shows tread separation and blisters.the dot number and dealer information were unavailable.the current and failure mileages were 85,000.
